Central beach Loo or Atola

The peculiarity is its location - it is located between the noisy Central and Wild beaches. It is enough to move in any direction and choose how to spend your time today.

The entrance to the water is gentle, the bottom is flat, there are no holes. There are buoys in the swimming area and the area is cleaned every day. Infrastructure - trash cans, rental of sun loungers, umbrellas, sports equipment. There are wooden decks leading down to the sea and large awnings. You can ride scooters, catamarans, and boats. There is a cafe and a canteen within walking distance.

Guests note that it is not crowded, very picturesque and cozy. There is no loud music, it is comfortable to relax with children.

Food

Finding a place for lunch in Loo is not at all difficult - there are a lot of cafes, canteens, and if the guest house has a kitchen, you can buy food at the market and in the store and cook it yourself. This is especially true with children, since no one will let you into the cafe’s kitchen, so you won’t be able to see the conditions.

Food in the canteens is quite affordable - you can have lunch for four for about 1,000 rubles, especially considering that children won’t eat much in the heat. Portions in canteens are decent, in cafes a little smaller, but the cost of lunch will be about 2,000 rubles. There was no noticeable difference in quality, the only differences were in the presence of waiters (not very efficient) and the atmosphere.

We bought vegetables at the market. The prices are not very low, but quite affordable. In stores, the cost of food is absolutely the same as in any large city, water is a little more expensive.

From the third day of our holiday we ate at the hotel, everything there was gorgeous, there was something for every taste. There was always a choice - for children, steamed chicken cutlets, mashed potatoes, pasta. In general, parents with infants vacation in Aqualoo, and, surprisingly, I didn’t notice an outbreak of rotavirus there. Maybe due to timely contact with local doctors, or maybe due to the fact that the sea is really cleaner in this area.

Dolphin Beach

This recreation area begins immediately behind the Compliment. The coastline stretches along the boat station of the same name. Feature: there is a car entrance.

The length is up to 700 m, the width is up to 55 m. The surface is mainly pebble, there are sandy islands. The infrastructure is good - rental equipment for recreation, toilets, many trash cans. Entertainment - banana boat rides, water scooters, tablets, catamarans, etc.

According to tourists, the beach is not much different from “Compliment”, there are few people, which allows you to relax peacefully even in the high season.

Accommodation

The most important thing in vacation is to choose the right place to stay. We have seen this personally and would like to warn others.

2 months before the trip, we booked a mini-hotel on Dekabristov Street, a couple of minutes from the sea, it looks decent both in the photo and in reality. A room with a bathroom for two adults and two children cost a little more than 2 thousand in August, which is quite acceptable. Shared kitchen in a separate room, air conditioning in the room, friendly owners. And a little more than 30 rooms, which in a small space is a very good condition for the spread of infections.

There are many such mini-hotels and guest houses in Loo, for every taste and budget. When choosing them, you can highlight several advantages:

• affordable price;
• there are very decent options;
• The owners will always tell you where to buy something and help with excursions.

But for us there was one huge minus that turned the rest of many into horror - rotavirus. We caught it on the second day, since everyone around us was vomiting and diarrhea. We urgently began to look for a boarding house with doctors, which is especially important when vacationing with children.

Getting to the hospital is borderline fantastic, ambulances are constantly driving, there are queues at pharmacies.

We were lucky; a room was available at the Aqualoo boarding house the next day. Price per day for a room is 8000 rubles, but with all-inclusive meals, a water park, its own beach and a doctor. And the boarding house is located away from the village - far from that river, which more closely resembles an open sewer and which flows directly into the sea. The only negative is that it is a bit far from the village center. Walking with children is not an option.

In Aqualoo, the doctor immediately prescribed treatment, we bought medicine at a pharmacy nearby without a long line, and finally, after 3 days, we were able to enjoy our vacation.

I strongly recommend that all vacationers with children choose hotels and boarding houses with a doctor.

They clean their beaches there, and everything on the territory is well maintained, and at the first symptoms you will be prescribed treatment so as not to ruin your vacation by lying in bed. It is good to relax in guest houses at the beginning of the season, when the infection has not yet spread everywhere.

In general, regarding the housing situation in Loo, you can choose one of the following options:

• hotels and inns;
• boarding houses, sanatoriums and recreation centers;
• guest houses;
• private housing;
• rest "savage".

Since most people in resort areas earn money during the season, housing prices depend on the chosen period for vacation. Thus, the peak prices occur in July-August.

Pros of choosing a hotel or hotel :

• large selection - you can choose housing in the city center, on the outskirts or outside the city;
• the presence of both luxury hotels and ordinary modest hotels;
• modern living conditions.

Minuses:

• when choosing an establishment with an average or low price, the furniture and the entire interior of the room will be quite sparse and of poor quality, and you have to pay dearly for a normal environment;
• no interesting entertainment for children;
• not all hotels are new.

Sanatorium and health complexes, recreation centers and boarding houses in Loo have the following advantages:

• a wide range of medical and aesthetic services;
• availability of catering;
• Large bases have a lot of entertainment for children and adults.

Minuses:

• again - if you choose an establishment with a low payment for accommodation, most likely, the infrastructure, service and overall impressions will not be enthusiastic, and really good conditions require a lot of money.

Guest houses - on various websites you can most often find guest houses in Loo. They are economical, but are often located quite far from the beach, and are not as reliable as hotels and boarding houses - you must definitely check the rental agreement and ensure that all receipts, checks, etc. are issued.

The private sector offers a large selection of housing. In my opinion, you should only rent a house in an unfamiliar city based on recommendations from friends. You never know what kind of landlords and neighbors you'll find.

Once we saw “savages” - they put up a tent next to their Zhiguli car and lived in these spartan conditions. Perhaps this is the most budget option for a holiday on the Black Sea coast, but also the most uncomfortable. If everything is clear with food - you can buy ready-made breakfasts, lunches or cook over a fire, then the issues of toilet and hygiene, garbage disposal, as well as mosquitoes and ticks are too important for me to relegate them to the background.

The farther your beach is from the river, the greater the likelihood of maintaining excellent health until the end of your vacation.

Beach "Magadan" (sanatorium)

Essentially, this is a continuation of Central Beach, but with its own advantages. The area is thoroughly cleaned daily, and the bottom near the shore is checked. It is cleared of silt and algae.

The coastline (pebbles) is up to 300 m, and the width is impressive - up to 60 m. The infrastructure is at a good level, they offer many paid services, and there is an equipment rental service. Admission is free, there is an information stand with water temperature. There is an embankment parallel to the beach - cafes and bars, several shops with souvenirs invite you.

Feedback from tourists is positive. Due to the shallow depth and shallow entrance, it is very convenient to come with children. You don’t have to walk long to the beach, you can drive up in your own car, there are always parking spaces.

Where to eat: from fast food to establishments with sea views

Cafes and snack bars, coffee shops and bars - Loo restaurants offer dishes of Russian, Italian, Asian and Caucasian cuisine. And for those in a hurry, fast food establishments are suitable. You will be treated to delicious breakfasts, lunches and dinners:

According to tourists, this beach is a worthy alternative to the Central one. It is much cleaner, more comfortable and not so crowded. The presence of traders is frustrating.

General Tips

All important tips can be summarized into several points:

1. Housing. It is very important to choose as far as possible from the river . Otherwise, eternal stench and rotavirus are guaranteed. Also try to choose a boarding house with a doctor or a small guest house.
2. Medicines. Take everything with you . There are pharmacies, but the queues there are long and the prices are inflated. At least let antipyretics, antiemetics, anti-diarrhea and rehydron be in the first aid kit.
3. Bargain at the market . They lower prices; if you buy several types of products, they give a discount. Especially sellers of Caucasian nationality.
4. It is better to take excursions from the owners of guest houses - cheaper, more interesting.

Overall, we'd probably go back there. But only in June, at the beginning of the season, and only to the boarding house. Still, when traveling with children, everything should be taken into account, and the presence of a doctor is very important.

From the experience of friends, there are excellent guest houses, but you have to choose them on the spot, which is not always convenient, but it is reliable. On aggregator sites, they always book a vacation spot for a day, and then look for a suitable option on the spot.

Beach of the AquaLoo complex

The coastline stretches for 250 m. This is a comfortable recreation area with developed infrastructure and maximum entertainment. There is a rescue station, equipment rental, and water attractions for children and adults. A special feature is the Art Voyage karaoke hookah bar on site. It opens in the evening and runs until the morning, with excellent entertainment programs.

Entrance to the beach is free. According to tourists, it is crowded and not always clean. The entrance to the sea is convenient, there are no large stones.

Where is the best place to stay?

All resort villages of “greater Sochi” have the same climatic and natural conditions. But from a tourist point of view, there are still key differences.

Loo or Lazarevskoye

Those who love a calm and measured holiday choose Loo; young people here often get bored. Therefore, if you want more drive, it is better to give preference to Lazarevsky.

Loo or Dagomys

Dagomys is rich in natural attractions, but cannot boast of a developed catering infrastructure. The issue of food in Loo is easier to solve, but there is an order of magnitude less beauty here.

Loo or Khosta

The main advantages of Khosta are tranquility, natural beauty and proximity to Sochi. Loo's significant advantage in this comparison is its lower prices.

Wild beach

A cozy corner, stunning with its beauty and untouched nature. Feature: a large bank protection dam has been installed. It has become a place where vacationers leave autographs. In the summer it is transformed - wild vines entwine it.

Nudist beach

The area for natruists begins immediately behind the Wild Beach. On the coastline up to 7 m wide, topless sunbathers manage to settle down. The length is up to 1 km, the surface is pebbles, mostly large, there are large boulders on the shore and the seabed. Feature - the beach is hidden from prying eyes from all sides. Mountains, dam and railway line. There is no infrastructure. Tourists note that the beach is beautiful, the water is crystal clear. But there is a danger of injury at the bottom; there are rocks and sharp ledges.

Beach "Ivushka" (sanatorium)

If you like to relax on wide beaches, this is one of the largest in Loo. There is all the necessary infrastructure - changing rooms, toilets, rental of sun loungers and umbrellas. How to get to Loo

The village of Loo is located 25 km from Sochi and 45 km from Lazarevskoye.

The journey from Sochi to Loo by train takes less than half an hour, trains run frequently.

While vacationing in Loo, you can come to Sochi every day, and even taking into account travel it will cost less than living in Sochi.

By plane

The nearest airport is in Adler. The most convenient way to get from there to Loo is by train. The journey will take less than an hour. There are regular buses around Greater Sochi, but they take much longer. In addition, during the season there are often traffic jams on the roads.

The second most remote airport is located in Krasnodar . It is much further - about 300 km from Loo.

By train

High-speed trains Swallows are the most convenient way to travel along the coast of the Krasnodar region.

All trains stop at Loo station - from Sochi, Adler, Tuapse, Krasnodar. Tickets for high-speed trains must be purchased in advance. This can be done not only at the ticket office, but also through the Russian Railways application and other services on the Internet.

Regular trains travel longer, making stops at all stations. You can buy a ticket for this train right on the spot. The price will be the same as at the box office.

Tickets for high-speed trains are sold with seats, for ordinary trains - without seats. To get on a high-speed train, you need to have a passport with you; documents are not checked on non-high-speed trains.

By vehicle

From Sochi, Adler, Lazarevsky, Tuapse and even Krasnodar you can get to Loo by bus, but this is not the most convenient way.

During the season, the buses are overcrowded, and you can wait several hours for a flight with empty seats. The highways are overloaded and there are often traffic jams. There is another significant drawback: the road through the Tuapse and Sochi regions is a mountain serpentine. People who are not used to the mountains do not tolerate these roads well.

Beach of the village of Uch-Dere

This is the most extreme recreation area in Loo, located closer to Dagomys. The coastline is narrow, but this did not prevent the beach from becoming popular with both tourists and local residents. After the earthquake in the 17th century, only two walls of the temple survived, but they allow you to appreciate the scale of the ancient building and imagine what it looked like centuries ago.

There are many ancient graves near the temple. According to legend, one of the apostles of Jesus Christ, Simon the Canaanite, is buried here, who died here at the hands of the pagans.

Waterfall "Paradise Delight"

Located in the upper mountainous part of the village.

You can get to the waterfall with a tour, or get there on your own by minibus or on foot through the forest.
