Tanker Square is a historically significant landmark of the city of Orel, designed to remind descendants in peacetime of the great exploits of the tank crews who were the first to break into the city during its liberation from the German invaders. House-Museum of N.S. Leskova

Epiphany Cathedral

If you walk along the pedestrian bridge near the fall of the Orlik River in Oka, you will probably see the oldest Orthodox church of Orel. Once upon a time there was an impregnable Oryol fortress here and the greatest historical events of local significance took place. Now it is a massive stone temple in the Baroque style. Like almost any church, the Epiphany Cathedral experienced difficult and sometimes destructive times, and then was restored and began life with a clean slate. Nowadays, pilgrims come here regularly, and people from other regions also insist to worship this place.

Museum I.A. Bunina
