Holidays in Maly Utrish (Anapa): description, how to get there, what to see. Hotels for holidays in Maly Utrish on the sea

The beach in Maly Utrish is located on the Black Sea coast between Anapa and Novorossiysk. During the summer season there are usually few vacationers here due to the lack of developed infrastructure. Tourists come here who want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of big cities. The coastline of the beach is located near the settlement of the same name, which used to be a fishing village.

The uniqueness of the beach lies in the fact that the village and the coastline are located on the territory of the Bolshoy Utrish state reserve. The reserve occupies a twelve-kilometer strip along the Black Sea coast. In the north of the natural landscape reserve, the foothills of the Caucasus begin. The reserve contains the only untouched area of the eastern Mediterranean landscape.

In the area of Maly Utrish you can find rare species of flora and fauna of the Krasnodar Territory, listed in the Red Book. Centuries-old juniper grows in this area, which saturates the air with healthy oils. There are relict forests and groves here. The village, on the shore of which the Maly Utrish beach is located, is located 8 kilometers from the village of Bolshoy Utrish and 9 kilometers from Durso.

On the territory of Maly Utrish in the 20th century there was a fishing state farm with a pier, a workshop for processing fish products and an administrative building. In 1978, the Biological Station of the Institute of Evolutionary Morphology and Animal Ecology was built here. The fishing plant ceased to exist after 2000. On the lands of Maly Utrish, archaeologists discovered a burial ground from the 13th to 15th centuries.

Today there is a lighthouse on Cape Maly Utrish. The Southern Military District "Caucasus" exercises are sometimes held in the bay near the coastline. In the village itself there are hotels and small recreation centers where vacationers can stay. There is no particularly developed infrastructure here, but the sea is cleaner than in other coastal areas of the Bolshoi Utrish Nature Reserve.

Impressions from the resort

Previously, Maly Utrish was a small fishing village, and a biological station worked here. Now the locals serve tourists who are attracted by the magnificent nature and clear sea. Maly Utrish is a place where people go to take a breather from the bustle of the city, breathe fresh air and take a walk through the juniper forests. Don’t count on special infrastructure and comfort, Maly Utrish is a real wild holiday!

Tourists who traveled to the village by land note that the road from Bolshoi Utrish is in poor condition. You can only drive normally in an SUV. Another disadvantage of Small Utrish is poor communication. Fishes well only near the sea.

Denis: “You need to understand why you are going to Maly Utrish. Virgin nature, silence, clean sea, air. If you want to party, this is not for you. This is a fishing village, I would say so. Personally, we really liked it.”

Vertelxx: “There are not such serious problems with drinking water here. There is a spring waterfall nearby. If you come to its source, you can get clean water. I will never forget its taste."

Anonymous: “If you don’t mind the car, go for it. Preferably without children, because they get very scared from such extreme activities. Don’t leave an advance payment, there are always available rooms, even in high season.”

Holidays in Maly Utrish on the seashore: how to get there

You can take a taxi from Vityazevo airport for about 1,350 rubles if you book it in advance. You can take bus number 113 and get to the Northern Market. From the market you need to walk to Krymskaya Street and take bus No. 109 to Sukko, which runs once an hour. From Sukko you need to cover a distance of 10 km along a sandy road. By car

Those who go on vacation to Maly Utrish by the sea prefer to get there by their own transport. To get to Krasnodar you need to take the M-4 Don federal highway. From the regional center we move along the A-146 road to the interchange at A-290, the road to the left goes to Novorossiysk, and the turn to the right goes to Anapa and towards Taman. Here you need to turn right. After about 15 kilometers between the settlements of Zarya and Rassvet there will be a left turn onto Shosseynaya Street, passing through Varvarovka and Gai-Nadzor and leading to Sukko. In Sukko, this main road turns into Utrishskaya Street and, after driving along it through the entire resort for about 1 kilometer, at the very end you need to turn onto Lesnaya Street. It is this road that will lead you to Maly Utrish.

Is it expensive to go on vacation?

Camping with tents in Maly Utrish is free. For a small village without any amenities or entertainment, housing prices are high - in the summer of 2022, a double room at a recreation center costs 2800-3000 rubles. A one-bedroom bungalow for 3 people is rented for 5,700 rubles per day. Look for housing in Maly Utrish on Hotelluk.

According to reviews from vacationers, there are few shops in Maly Utrish, and their prices are an order of magnitude higher than in Anapa supermarkets. For this reason, tourists prefer to bring food and drink with them.

Tatyana: “We cooked it ourselves. There are several stores, the selection is normal, but the prices are higher than in the city. We got there by boat, 500 rubles per person, and at the same time it turned out to be a wonderful boat trip.”

Utrish wave

The beaches of the village of Bolshoi Utrish seem to go around the entire complex coastline of the peninsula. The next Riviera worthy of you is its southern edge, which is a cozy bay. The name is given in honor of the campsite. His amenities are all the equipment here. It remains to add: a smooth curve of large pebbles stretches for 300 m - from the cafe, across the road from the dolphinarium, to the toilets and showers of the “car camp”.

“Volna” is equipped with bathrooms, a huge parking lot, a tent parking area (it is always kept clean), changing rooms, rental of sun loungers, a cafe and a canteen. Opposite the toilets there is a so-called “sea bath”. Entertainment is also available. The width of this strip is 10-15 m, which is quite enough for a comfortable stay in the popular resort of Anapa.

What a sea and beaches

The shore and bottom of the sea in Maly Utrish are pebbly - it is more convenient to swim in special shoes. The sea is very clean and, unlike Anapa, does not bloom. Here you will not find sun loungers, sun umbrellas, toilets or a coastal cafe. On the beach there is a homemade water pump from a hydrogen sulfide spring, which can be used for washing hands and dishes.

Toma: “On the shore there are several tents and cows resting peacefully in the sun. The beach is huge and there are no more than 20 people on it. The shore is clean, if you do not take into account the remains of cows, the water is also clean and clear. There is no infrastructure."

Climate in Maly Utrish (Anapa)

The climate in this tiny resort is Mediterranean with continental elements. The humidity in Maly Utrish is lower than in resorts with a subtropical climate, so the heat is much easier to bear. It is in this place, located in the foothills of the Caucasus, that there is a huge amount of greenery. In Maly Utrish there is an oak grove and many coniferous plants. The air here is very clean and fresh. The average temperature in summer is +25 degrees. But this is an average temperature, so there will be many days when the thermometer rises above +30.

Things to do

According to tourist reviews for 2022, diving, spearfishing, sea fishing and boat trips are popular in Maly Utrish. A great idea is to walk around the protected surroundings of the village with a camera! Walk along the shore to Bolshoi Utrish and you will be able to admire a beautiful waterfall 5 m high. An 8 km long walk will take an hour and a half.

Maria: “Diving enthusiasts will be very pleased with the local underwater world. It is incredibly diverse! Those who want to fish can order a fishing trip. If you're lucky, the catch will pleasantly surprise you. After all, in the Black Sea there are completely different fish from mullet to flounder and katran.”

If you are not a fan of noisy entertainment places, crowded beaches, rush hour crowds on roads and sidewalks, then we will be glad to see you as our guests! Our recreation center “Maly Utrish” is for lovers of wild nature, clear seas, pristine beaches and silence. This is a private, small camping-type base, with different categories of rooms for people who are unpretentious to the conditions, but want to taste all the splendor of nature in a protected area. We are located on the Black Sea coast in a very unusual, one might say, unique place, on the territory of the Utrish State Dendrological and Marine Reserve. The base is separated from Anapa by 20 km. coast and 30 km. coast from Novorossiysk. The natural resources of the reserve are being preserved, and therefore the stay of resort guests here is limited. Fans of diving, spearfishing, interesting natural landscapes, clean beaches and picturesque landscapes will find a lot of interesting things in this wonderful place. A variety of wild beaches with small and large sea-rolled pebbles, picturesque rocks, and the gentle southern sun will give you a wonderful tan and spiritual comfort. On the opposite side from the shore, the relict mountain forests of the reserve approach the recreation center closely. In them you can find a healing spring with mineral water (once, a very long time ago, they wanted to organize its extraction and drilled a well, but it didn’t reach an industrial scale - it was banned, but the well 200 meters deep remained), a picturesque lake, mushroom clearings, unusual natural landscapes, small waterfalls with crystal clear cool water, streams and much more. In particular, for lovers of antiquity - the skeletons of the ruins of an ancient city, overgrown with mosses and lichens. They were never excavated, but the sight is very unusual. The base itself is located in a small, if not tiny, village with several dozen local residents. Since most of them are engaged in breeding domestic animals, you can provide fresh milk for yourself if you wish, without limiting your rest time to long distances. Regarding allergy sufferers, I can say this - you will move to a place where allergies to ragweed, birch, poplar and other city “guests” have no place in this ecosystem (checked on my own child with allergies!), since these types of vegetation do not grow in this forest area , and if they grow, then as an exception, and not on the seashore. We do not offer you comfortable rooms with all possible amenities, but you can be sure that when you go to the beach to sunbathe, you will be able to choose any place to relax and fully enjoy the natural resources of the reserve in silence! The most important task is not to overload this rare natural complex, to preserve its natural resources as a leading healing factor. We will provide you with an excursion program! There is an opportunity to visit the Bolshoi Utrish Dolphinarium, as well as go on an excursion to the tasting room of the Abrau-Durso sparkling wine factory, etc.

The number of rooms at the Maly Utrish recreation center includes: 1) A two-room detached wooden house accommodating two double rooms No. 16 and No. 17 . The rooms are designed for 2 people each. No amenities, but there are air conditioners and refrigerators. Summer showers and toilets in the yard, shower with electrically heated water. 2) Two-room 4-bed room No. 18 without a bathroom with a separate entrance, TV, refrigerator and split-system air conditioning, located on the first floor of the house. Shower and toilet are nearby in the building. 3) Four 3-bed rooms with air conditioning and refrigerators (No. 27 - No. 30) , located on the second floor of the base. These rooms differ from the house in larger area and increased comfort. There is a separate shower room on the floor for them. The toilet is downstairs. 4) At your service is a two-story cottage , which includes five rooms with all amenities (No. 31 - No. 35) , one of which is a large 3-4-bed room No. 35 (20 sq. meters, 2 attic floor), designed for 4 people. Two double and two triple rooms . The rooms have bathrooms (shower, washbasin, toilet), air conditioning, refrigerators and satellite TV. 5) Two new two-story cottages . On the first floors there are two double and two triple rooms with all amenities in each room (No. 1 - No. 4; No. 41 - No. 44) . On the second floors there are two two-room 4-bed rooms with all amenities in each room (No. 5 - No. 6; No. 45 - No. 46) .

If you wish, you can rent an electric kettle and use our barbecue to prepare barbecue or shkara (we provide the barbecue free of charge). There is an opportunity to prepare breakfast and dairy kitchen for children (separate room). Hammocks and swings are suspended under the canopy of oak trees. For those who come on vacation with their own vehicles, a free parking space . Two meals a day are organized outdoors (summer kitchen, no menu to choose from). On the territory of the base there is a store where you can purchase the most necessary products, fruits, vegetables, chilled drinks, beach accessories, souvenirs, as well as evaluate the assortment of natural Kuban wines offered for bottling. There are no medical personnel on base. Discounts are available for additional seats. Transfer is organized . All details on the description of the rooms, the cost of staying at the base, including additional charges. services, as well as the cost of the transfer, you can see in our PRICE LIST .

Vacation with children

The depth in Maly Utrish increases quickly, so the local beach is hardly suitable for families with children. Older children will be interested in walking around the reserve. In the surrounding forests you can see junipers, old trees, flowering plants, hedgehogs and fast dragonflies. On the seashore it is interesting to watch crabs and schools of fish. Dolphins constantly swim to the beach.

Camilla: “We vacationed with my husband and 3-year-old child in July. It is calm, comfortable and unforgettable here. The beach is different, you can catch crabs. There’s a small shop nearby, the prices there are, of course, high... but tolerable.”

The fourth lagoon is the best beach of Maly Utrish

This is the only sea edge listed that already belongs to Maly Utrish. From here it is about 1.7 km to the indicated settlement. Its only noticeable landmark is the unusually transparent sea, compared to previous water areas, and the path at the southern end leading to the lake through a fragrant thicket overgrown with bright flowers. All this is in the shadow of a cliff 79 m high.

Already from the name it is clear that this is a sandbank, the approach is too shallow. It is worth pointing out that there are large stones. The width here is small, but tolerable (6-9 m). Length – 1.5 km. Resort-goers who come here will be lucky enough to see the purest places for relaxation, because the outfit of strict Cossacks is responsible for the pristine condition of this section. The fact is that the location is part of the protected area of the Utrish Nature Reserve.

When is the best time to go?

There are 280 sunny days in Maly Utrish per year. The holiday season lasts from May to the end of October. The warmest water in the Black Sea is in July and August +26…+27°С. According to reviews from tourists, it is pleasant to relax in Maly Utrish in September. At the beginning of autumn, the sea is still warm and the weather is dry, sunny and windless.

Nightly: “We arrived in early September. The weather was wonderful, clear blue skies, without a hint of precipitation. Approximate air temperature during the day is +30°C. The Black Sea was practically undisturbed.”

Central beach on Bolshoi Utrish

The coastline, corresponding to the dead ends of the streets of Bolshoy Utrish, is marked by unforgettable landmarks - the noisy restaurants “Bungalow” and “Breeze”, as well as the diving club “Shark” (the peninsula is the country’s main center for underwater extreme sports).

So, the length of the named section is 230 m. At the service of visiting vacationers:

  • changing rooms;
  • grocery stores and souvenir shops;
  • two restaurants and a cafe;
  • wooden walkways;
  • umbrellas covered with reeds;
  • convenient descents from Naberezhnaya Street;
  • cafeteria canopies;
  • paid parking;
  • toilets;
  • sun lounger rental;
  • attractions;
  • water activities;
  • a small forest belt at the foot of the hill.

The width of the surface, consisting of large pebbles, is 10-25 m. Entry into the sea is a descent at an angle of 35-40 degrees. Since the pebbles are large, the water here is quite clear.

Su-Psekh and descent to the sea

So, the city beaches of the high coast of Anapa from the south smoothly flow into the pebble coast of the village of Su-Psekh. An amazing structure also descends here - a staircase of 800 steps, along which you can overcome the steep descent to the sea. Read about the sights of the village and recreation in it here.

There is no beach in Supsekha due to the presence of a steep rocky crumbling shore and sharp stones covering it, the same stones at the entrance to the water. This is what the coast looks like with these stones:

However, there are always fans of extreme swimming here too. And those who simply want to explore the uniquely beautiful cliff, breathe in the sea air, watch local sailors fishing from boats and practice going up and down the stairs running down. We read about the sights of Su-Psekh and look at the photos at the link: . Then the beaches of Sukko begin.

The beaches of Sukko and Bolshoi Utrish with medium-sized sea pebbles, a good sandy bottom of normal depth and clean water are a favorite vacation spot for many Anapa residents and resort guests.

However, getting to these beaches from the city is far and tiring, so if you like the nature of the places of Sukko and Utrish, settle in these villages; the choice of housing is huge: rooms, boarding houses, mini-hotels are always waiting for you at very reasonable prices. At the height of the season (July 2016) from 500 rubles/day per person - less than in Anapa itself.

Getting to both beaches from the city by public transport is not difficult: bus No. 109 will take you there in about 30 minutes. A stop at the Varvarovskaya Shchel beach is available upon request; those who take the 109 should take note and warn the bus driver.

Fire in the Utrish Nature Reserve

At the very end of the very hot summer of 2022, a forest litter fire began in the reserve between the settlements of Bolshoy and Maly Utrish. A little later, the fire had already spread to the Utrish nature reserve; as a result of this fire, an area of 65 hectares was burned. The cause of the fire was most likely a human factor - either an unextinguished cigarette butt or coal that fell from the fire. In the wind, the fire spread quickly, even tourists were evacuated from nearby tent camps.

The fire was extinguished not only by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, rescuers and equipment, but also ordinary people - tourists and local residents - did not remain indifferent to the tragedy. Volunteers helped to collect water in cans and transfer it along a chain to the slopes to extinguish the fire, but their efforts were in vain - the fire was engulfing more and more territory. After the tragic events, the Utrish nature reserve was even closed to tourist groups.

Second Lagoon and Cape Crocodile

The first lagoon ends at Cape Crocodile: from the sea it looks like the head of a crocodile, which is why this rock was nicknamed that way. This is where the places where recreation is officially allowed begin. The second lagoon is small. This place was chosen by the so-called “Indians” - representatives of youth and various subcultures, artists, hippies and so on. Those who briefly escaped civilization and live here as savages in tents. There are small and large pebbles on the shore, the entrance to the sea is convenient and gentle.

Animals and plants

The Utrish Nature Reserve is one of the leaders in the number of diverse species of plants and animals in Russia.

The diversity of the flora of the reserve is represented by the Mediterranean subtropics, in which many endemic and relict plants of the tertiary period grow, including: juniper-pistachio forests, high juniper, stinking juniper, pistachio, Pitsunda pine, oak, ash, linden, maple and much more.

Plants of Utrish in numbers:

  • 75 species of herbaceous plants;
  • 107 species of trees and shrubs;
  • 227 species of algae;
  • 60 species are listed in the Red Book.

The diverse fauna of the Utrish Nature Reserve is represented by the Nikolsky tortoise, the steppe tortoise, the aesculapian snake (listed in the Red Book), deer, wild boar, foxes and hares, the snake eagle, the eagle, the vulture, the vulture, the peregrine falcon, swans and more than 80 species of birds, as well as many rare species of Mediterranean butterflies.

Among the marine inhabitants, the territory of Utrish is inhabited by horse mackerel, mackerel, anchovy, and bottlenose dolphins.
