If you are going to Anapa, then the first question that needs to be resolved is where is the best place to stay for a vacation. This choice is not as simple as it seems at first glance. If you think that it is enough to simply choose a private sector or a hotel for a holiday in Anapa, then you are mistaken.
Anapa is not just a city, it is an entire resort region with adjacent villages and beaches. To accurately decide which part of Anapa to relax in, you need to take into account a lot of factors. This is the coverage and location of the beach, the availability of infrastructure near the hotel, the level and services of the hotel itself, and, of course, prices.
We have prepared a complete, but most concise overview of all areas of Anapa with their pros and cons, so that you can make the right choice yourself and guarantee yourself the best vacation!
What to see in Anapa with children
The most popular place to visit is Dino-Park Rex (Mira Street). Figures of all known species of ancient lizards are collected here. Near each of the figures there is a small plaque with a description of the species, characteristics, and habitat history. The exhibits are robotic and can move independently and make sounds.
"Dino Park Rex"
"Gorgippia"
You can relax in Anapa with middle-aged and older children by visiting the open-air archaeological museum “Gorgippia” (Naberezhnaya St., 4). This is the site of excavations of an ancient city that existed during the Bosporan Kingdom. The museum offers guided tours.
Central Beach
The name immediately makes it clear - this area is located in the very heart of the city of Anapa, along Naberezhnaya Street. The length of the beach from the Park “30 Years of Victory” to the Children’s Park is about a kilometer.
Interesting places
The Central Beach area is filled with many attractions and resort facilities, and the main and most beautiful streets of Anapa lie next to it.
If you are relaxing in the center of Anapa, you will find it very convenient:
- Visit the archaeological museum "Gorgippia";
- Take a walk along the Central Embankment;
- See the evening show of musical fountains;
- If you like active recreation and vivid emotions, then within walking distance you will find the Golden Beach water park and an amusement park;
- If you are vacationing with children, be sure to visit the Children's Park;

This area is home to Anapa’s most famous and popular beach, Central. It is covered with coarse sand, but the water may be mixed with small pebbles.
Housing
In the center of Anapa there is a huge selection of hotels, boarding houses and holiday homes, but thanks to such a convenient location, housing prices here are much higher than in other areas of the city.
Grand Hotel Valentina is located on Terskaya Street, 103, in the very center of the city. The minimum cost of a night here is from 6,500 rubles.
Another hotel on Terskaya Street is “De Paris”. It is also within walking distance of Anapa's main attractions. The lowest price per night at the Hotel De Paris is from 1,700 rubles. Please note that meals are not included in the price.
The RS-ROYAL hotel is located 300 meters from the city center on Novorossiyskaya Street. This place is popular among tourists not only due to its convenient location: the hotel has a very developed infrastructure and a lot of entertainment. Prices per night at the RS-ROYAL hotel start from 4,000 rubles.
If you want to combine business with pleasure, namely: live in the city center, but at the same time save money, you can find housing in the private sector, of which there is also plenty here.
In this case, for about 700 rubles per day you can stay in a double room with a refrigerator, bathroom and TV. But at the height of the season, housing prices also increase in the private sector: for the same amenities you will have to pay at least 1,500 rubles.
Pros of the area:
- Convenient location in the very center of the city;
- Major attractions and resort facilities are within walking distance;
- Huge selection of housing in different price ranges;
- The beach is within walking distance;
- Developed infrastructure;
- Regular cleaning of the area.
Disadvantages of the area:
- It is very lively here: tourists from all over Anapa come to stroll through the city center. Be prepared for crowds of vacationers;
- High prices for housing, food and other goods: in the center they will be much more expensive.
The best beaches for families with children
The sea is the main advantage of Anapa as a children's resort. It’s good if the hotel where the family is staying has its own beach area. Usually these are landscaped areas with sun loungers, sun loungers, and umbrellas. However, in Anapa there are also public beaches that are in no way inferior in comfort and cleanliness to private paid coastal recreation areas:
Sanatorium beach "Rodnichok"
It is located on the territory of the sanatorium of the same name, but is open to everyone. The bottom and sand are sandy. The entrance to the water is gentle. The long shallow waters are perfect for children's swimming. The area is equipped with sun loungers, umbrellas, gazebos. There is a first aid post and several rescue services on site. There are slides and playgrounds for children.
Central Beach
It is located in the city center. It stretches from the Water Stadium to the place where the Anapka River flows into the sea. Its length is just over 1 km. The coastal shallow water smoothly turns into depth. The bottom and beach are sandy. Accessories (sun loungers, sun loungers, umbrellas) are rented for an additional fee. There is a rescue service, a first-aid post, and a large number of catering outlets.
Central beach of the village of Dzhemete
Almost the entire coast of Dzhemete is ideal for children's recreation. The flat sandy bottom, slowly increasing depth and clear sea make the coastline of the village a popular holiday destination for parents with children. There are attractions on the beach, entertainment events are held, and there is a cafe.
"Small Bay"
This is not a sandy, but a pebble beach located on the territory of the boarding house “Vysoky Bereg”. There is always a clean sea, clear water and practically no waves. The bottom is cleared of cobblestones and also has no holes. The beach is equipped with an elevator, which is very convenient for parents with strollers. The territory is landscaped and equipped.
Private sector near the center
The central district of Anapa is home to not only luxury hotels, but also a large and vibrant private sector.
Here you, on the one hand, can fully immerse yourself in resort life, and on the other, save significantly on housing.
Interesting places
From the private sector you will have convenient access to any attraction in the center of Anapa:
- Central embankment;
- Archaeological Museum;
- Monument "Russian Gate";
- Park of the 30th anniversary of the Victory.
A few hundred meters from the private sector there is a sandy Central Beach about a kilometer long. This is the most popular place among tourists in Anapa, so there are a lot of people here from early morning until late evening.
Housing
Of the entire private sector of Anapa, this area is perhaps the most extensive in terms of the number of guest houses.
“Anapskoye Compound” is located on Katya Solovyanova Street, building 52. Vacationers are offered double, triple, and quadruple economy class rooms. The rooms have a minimum set of necessary furniture, one bathroom for four rooms. In June, prices for an economy room start at 200 rubles per day, but already in July they reach 400 rubles.
“On Vladimirskaya 7/1” is located next to the City Administration. Here, each room is equipped with a private bathroom, as well as a refrigerator and TV. You can prepare your meals in the shared kitchen and relax in the dining area. The minimum price per day in this guest house is 400 rubles.

In June, room prices start at 500 rubles, but in July and August they already reach 1,000 rubles.
Cheap housing in the private sector of Anapa.
Pros of the area:
- Walking distance to main attractions, the beach, the Central embankment;
- Large selection of entertainment: amusement parks, water park, zoo;
- Affordable housing prices;
- Developed infrastructure.
Disadvantages of the area:
- The facilities are not the same as in hotels and inns;
- It can be noisy due to the large number of tourists.
When is the best time to go to a resort with a child?
Anapa is open to children throughout the year. The absence of industrial zones keeps the air and environment clean. There are entertainment complexes, swimming pools, and sanatoriums. The infrastructure makes it possible to improve the health and entertainment of the child. But the main vacation time is in the summer. July and August are considered peak months. This is the hottest time of the year, when the beaches are crowded and the heat outside can suffocate you. The air temperature rises to +400C.

Reviews from tourists
It is better to vacation in Anapa with children in June and September. At this time there is no influx of holidaymakers, the sea is warm, and the air temperature does not rise above +270C. Prices are not peak, there is a choice of places to stay with good and affordable service. It’s also good here in the off-season, but you won’t be able to swim in the sea.

The private sector in Nizhny Dzhemet is represented by many guest houses where you can stay for at least 500 rubles per day. Many of them have a swimming pool, children's playground and recreation areas on site. Kitchens and bathrooms here are mostly shared.
Pros of the area:
- Convenient location in the center of Pionersky Prospekt;
- Holidays here will be relaxing, thanks to the distance from the city center;

If you want to save on housing, I advise you to live in a large private sector. For 600-900 rubles per day you can easily find a cozy room with everything you need: air conditioning, TV, refrigerator and bathroom.

Tsibanobalka village, Voskresensky farm, Pyatikhatki village
These small settlements of the Anapa region, practically growing into one another, are located far from the sea between Dzhemete and Vityazevo at a distance of 3 to 5-7 km from the sea coast.
Today many people choose the developing village of Tsibanobalka for permanent residence
The recreational conditions there are almost the same as in Chemburk, only the journey to the sea is much longer, although this is not a problem for autotourists. These settlements have recently become attractive for moving here for permanent residence. They are growing, building up and becoming prettier. Young people and elderly people live here, there are shops and local supplies.
Blagoveshchenskaya
The village of Blagoveshchenskaya is located 40 kilometers northwest of Anapa.
Interesting places
- The most important feature of Blagoveshchenskaya is the clean beaches with which it is surrounded;
- The beaches have a large selection of marine activities and attractions;

The beaches in Blagoveshchenskaya are sandy, shallow, with a gently sloping soft bottom. There is often a strong wind blowing here, so the sea is rough.
Housing
There are not many hotels in the village, mostly guest houses. However, there are still good hotels.
The Marlen Hotel will especially appeal to vacationers with children, as there is a special menu, playgrounds, a swimming pool and other entertainment for them. The rooms have all the necessary furniture and electronics. The minimum price per night at the Marlen Hotel without meals is 800 rubles.

- Groups of young people may be bored here, since there are few entertainment venues in Blagoveshchenskaya.
Pros and cons of holidays with children in Anapa
Anapa is one of the TOP 3 most popular Russian resorts. There are the most conflicting opinions regarding the conditions of recreation. The city has its admirers, and there are also outright opponents.
How do you prefer to travel?
SoloWith children
The obvious advantages include:
- beaches with shallow, clean, quickly warming water;
- mild climate with a healing effect;
- variety of entertainment, attractions, attractions.
Minuses:
- during the season, everything is very expensive (food, accommodation, prices for tickets to entertainment centers, water parks, show programs, etc.);
- low level of service and comfort in cheap hotels and the private sector;
- the “blooming” sea in August (algae, smell, feeling of pollution) forces parents with children to visit pebble beaches, which require special shoes to avoid injury.
Otherwise, it’s a great place to organize a family vacation. Hotel owners take into account the wishes of tourists and do everything possible to ensure that people return here again and again. A couple of years ago, age restrictions were introduced. Today, boarding houses, sanatoriums, hotels and other vacation spots not only accept children, but also provide a whole range of services to make life easier for parents.
Sukko
The village of Sukko is located 15 kilometers from Anapa, at the point where the Caucasus Mountains begin.

Varvarovka village
The history of the formation of this village is very similar to the history of Supsekh. After the annexation of this coast to Russia, on the lands that belonged to General Pavlov at that time, a farmstead appeared, named after his daughter Varvarovka. Its main inhabitants were Bohemian Czechs, who began to plant gardens, tobacco plantations, and wheat fields here. They also raised livestock. And the houses were built of stone with tiled roofs, and they were whitewashed as in their native Bohemia.
Varvarovka is located on a mountain slope away from the coastline
In the 20-30s. In the 20th century, a large share of the economy, in connection with the creation of collective farms, was aimed at growing vineyards. The products were sent mainly to Abrau-Durso, but it was planned to build a winery in Varvarovka. These plans were prevented from being realized by the Great Patriotic War, by the end of which only 11 people remained alive in the village.
By the beginning of the 50s, the winery was finally built and began to operate. But due to lack of profitability, it was closed in 2017. It turned out that building houses was much more profitable, and besides, a new modern gravity-type winery appeared in the village, with which it was pointless to compete.
Varvarovka is a well-kept and pretty village located on the main highway
Today, the village of Varvarovka, home to more than two thousand people, is the same quiet and secluded place for summer holidays as Supsekh. Varvarovka is also located at the beginning of the formation of the Caucasus Mountains at an altitude of more than 300 meters on the Semisamsky ridge. A highway connecting Sukko with Anapa passes through the village.
The big advantage of relaxing in this locality is not only peace and quiet. There is very beautiful nature here and fairly low prices for accommodation in the private sector and in campsites. The lack of entertainment and municipal civilized beaches is compensated by the purity of sea water, beautiful views and the proximity of such resort and entertainment places as Anapa and Sukko. In the vicinity of Varvarovka you can spend hours walking through the relict protected forests and admiring the pine trees, breathing the cleanest air and listening to the singing of birds.
Walking along local mountain paths is an excellent and healthy pastime
Of course, it is most convenient for car travelers to relax here, since it is more convenient to get to the immediate surroundings by your own car than by public transport. And although taxi services are available everywhere today, having your own transport is much more comfortable.
In the center of Varvarovka in 2014
a temple of the same name appeared, which today is a whole complex with a library, Sunday school, refectory, chapel, etc. There is also a Holy Spring here. There is also a House of Culture, shops, etc. in the village. But the local infrastructure is not of a resort nature.
The Varvarovsky temple greatly beautified the village and became its iconic dominant feature.
It must be borne in mind that the practically unequipped beach area is located almost two kilometers from the village, on the territory of another village - Varvarovskaya Shlit
. This place, located in a very beautiful rocky gorge, attracts with its landscapes of untouched nature. Lovers of “wild” holidays even pitch tents here. At the height of the holiday season, elements of civilization penetrate here in the form of rental beach equipment and simple attractions.
The pebble beach of Varvarina Shlya has the most minimal amenities
The coast has a pebbly surface and a rocky seabed, which is very attractive for diving and snorkeling enthusiasts. You can watch nimble representatives of marine fauna here even along the coastline. If spending your entire vacation time in Varvarovka in isolation from civilization seems boring, then coming here for at least two or three days can make your vacation simply unforgettable.
Highland
The Vysoko Bereg area is located immediately behind the Central Beach of Anapa.
Interesting places
- One of the symbols of Anapa - the Lighthouse - adorns the High Bank. If you come to Anapa, you definitely need to take a photo at the Lighthouse;
- The high bank is strewn with parks with bright flower arrangements;
- Many cafes, restaurants and other entertainment venues.
The beach here is pebbly and there may be large boulders at the bottom. The length of the coastline reaches 4 kilometers.
Housing
In the Vysokyi Bereg microdistrict there is a large selection of hotels of different price levels.
The hotel of the same name “Vysoky Bereg” is located on the first coastline. The infrastructure and amenities of the hotel are at a high level. Room price – from 2,700 rubles.
“Blue Lagoon” is a hotel with rooms of various categories: from standard to “Deluxe”. The price for the most modest room is 2,800 rubles per day.
Hotel Maximus is an economical option. It is conveniently located away from the bustle of the city, but at the same time, very close to the sea. Prices per day here start from 1,250 rubles.
The private sector in the Vysokiy Bereg microdistrict is very extensive. In some houses you can even stay for a ridiculous 300-400 rubles per day. In this case, the room will be equipped with all necessary furniture, air conditioning or a fan.
Pros of the area:
- Picturesque area;
- Convenient location: away from the bustle of the city, but at the same time close to the center;
- Developed infrastructure;
- Crystal clear sea water.
Disadvantages of the area:
- There can be a lot of garbage on the beach: since this is not the city center, they clean it up here much less often;
- To get to the beach you need to go down some high steps. If you are vacationing with children or your movement is difficult, then I do not recommend staying in this area.
Chemburka farm
This small (almost ten streets) but close to Anapa village is located between Chembur Lake and Anapa floodplains. You can rent housing here much cheaper than in neighboring Anapa and Dzhemete. But we must keep in mind that the distance to the beach area from the center of the village is about 2.5 km and therefore it will take about half an hour, or even forty minutes, to walk to the beach. But here you can get treatment with the healing mud of Lake Chembur, catch rams on it, or simply wander along the shores of the lake itself or the Anapa flood plains. There is a motor racing track on the outskirts of the village.
Few people choose the small village of Chemburka for a holiday.
If you still decide to walk to the beach, then you need to keep in mind that a rather picturesque road runs along the straight Ring Street. The views along the road are quite beautiful; you can see geese or swans walking.
The road to the sea from Chemburka goes along the picturesque Chembur Lake
You will not find any entertainment for the evening in the village. But there is more than enough peace and quiet here. Especially in the evening and night hours. There are not a lot of shops here either, but there is a local market where you can buy fresh homemade products - cheese, butter, dairy products, meat, eggs, vegetables, etc. The only problem is that you can hardly pay with a card here. All you need is cash.
Walnut Grove
Walnut Grove is a small area named after the park of the same name, which is located near the High Bank.
Interesting places
- Dancing fountain;
- Playgrounds;
- Secluded benches where vacationers can relax from the bustle of the resort;
- Fitness equipment;
- Huge rose garden;
- Sometimes concerts, exhibitions and master classes are held here.
The nearest beach is “40 Years of Victory”. It is covered with large pebbles, but there may also be boulders at the bottom.
Housing
There are not many hotels in the immediate vicinity of the Walnut Grove.
The Continent Hotel offers guests a variety of entertainment and health services. There are two types of rooms here - standard and family. Prices start from 1,500 rubles.
At the 34 Hotel, each room has a minimal set of furniture, air conditioning, and a private balcony. Prices here also start from 1,500 rubles.
Mini-hotel “Na Naberezhnaya” offers rooms of various categories. The cost of a day in a standard double room is from 1,900 rubles.
Near the Walnut Grove Park there is a large selection of housing from the private sector. The minimum price per day is 400 rubles, but the room will be very modest. And for 800 rubles you can stay in a junior suite.
Pros of the area:
- The Walnut Grove area is always quiet and calm: it is not visited by noisy companies, since there is no entertainment suitable for them;
- The beach with clear water is located a few hundred meters away;
- There are few holidaymakers on the beach;
- The area is very picturesque.
