After the annexation of this coast to Russia, on the lands that belonged to General Pavlov at that time, a farmstead appeared, named after his daughter Varvarovka. Its main inhabitants were Bohemian Czechs, who began to plant gardens, tobacco plantations, and wheat fields here. They also raised livestock. And the houses were built of stone with tiled roofs, and they were whitewashed as in their native Bohemia.

Varvarovka is located on a mountain slope away from the coastline

You will not find any entertainment for the evening in the village. But there is more than enough peace and quiet here. Especially in the evening and night hours. There are not a lot of shops here either, but there is a local market where you can buy fresh homemade products - cheese, butter, dairy products, meat, eggs, vegetables, etc. The only problem is that you can hardly pay with a card here. All you need is cash.

Walnut Grove

Walnut Grove is a small area named after the park of the same name, which is located near the High Bank.

Interesting places

• Playgrounds;
• Secluded benches where vacationers can relax from the bustle of the resort;
• Fitness equipment;
• Huge rose garden;
• Sometimes concerts, exhibitions and master classes are held here.

The nearest beach is “40 Years of Victory”. It is covered with large pebbles, but there may also be boulders at the bottom.

Housing

There are not many hotels in the immediate vicinity of the Walnut Grove.

The Continent Hotel offers guests a variety of entertainment and health services. There are two types of rooms here - standard and family. Prices start from 1,500 rubles.

At the 34 Hotel, each room has a minimal set of furniture, air conditioning, and a private balcony. Prices here also start from 1,500 rubles.

Mini-hotel “Na Naberezhnaya” offers rooms of various categories. The cost of a day in a standard double room is from 1,900 rubles.

Near the Walnut Grove Park there is a large selection of housing from the private sector. The minimum price per day is 400 rubles, but the room will be very modest. And for 800 rubles you can stay in a junior suite.

Pros of the area:

• The Walnut Grove area is always quiet and calm: it is not visited by noisy companies, since there is no entertainment suitable for them;
• The beach with clear water is located a few hundred meters away;
• There are few holidaymakers on the beach;
