The attractions of Yeysk are not so few for a small town, which over the 170 years of its existence has managed to turn into a major port and a popular resort.
Yeisk Estuary
The largest estuary in the North Caucasus is located in the northeast of the Sea of Azov, between two sand spits - Yeisk and Glafirovskaya. “Malosalny” Bay is quite young: it appeared a little over a century ago and has not yet been fully formed.
The length of the estuary is 24 km, width - 13 km, depth - from half a meter to one and a half. The water in the bay, mixing with silty sediments, changes shades: in winter it becomes brownish-yellow, in summer it becomes emerald green. With the arrival of cold weather, the reservoir freezes; in the warm season, outdoor weddings, sunbathing, and swimming are held on its banks.
However, the Yeisk Estuary is famous not for its natural beauty and beach holidays, but for its fabulous fishing. The lake is one of the few places in the world where both marine and freshwater ichthyofauna live. Among the most desirable trophies are: Azov ram, pike perch, herring, sabrefish, pelengas, goby and asp.

Island of the Seven Winds
The uninhabited island with a romantic name was once part of the Yeisk Spit, but in 1914, as a result of a strong storm, it separated from it and became an “autonomous” piece of land. For its lush vegetation and attractiveness, the island is sometimes called Green, and for the abundance of birds - Bird Island.
The Island of the Seven Winds has a ring shape, typical of atolls. The emerald lagoon formed inside the “crescent” was chosen by divers, surfers and yachtsmen. In addition to water sports, people come here to fish, enjoy mud springs and admire rare birds.

Waterpark "Nemo"
One of the most visited tourist infrastructure sites in Yeysk is located on the coast of Taganrog Bay, on the city embankment. The green island, surrounded by palm trees, has been bringing joy to children and adults since 2008.
On the territory of the water complex there are 7 swimming pools, 15 slides, including extreme, high-speed and family slides, as well as an area for children 7-14 years old and children 3-7 years old with a playground. The safety of visitors is ensured by a team of instructors and rescuers.

Homeland, who glorified the fatherland
The city of Yeysk has always been and remains rich in talent. He was considered a relative of Nonna Mordyukova and Sergei Bondarchuk. Six-time world wrestling champion Ivan Poddubny spent his last years here. It was here that cosmonaut pilots Dzhanibekov, Shonin and Padalka studied. The first Hero of the Soviet Union A.V. Lepidevsky spent his childhood and youth here.
Interesting: Yeisk is the birthplace of the youngest general of the Soviet army, Timofey Khryukin. There is no similar case in history where at the age of 30 a pilot received the rank of major general of aviation.
Oceanarium "Shark Reef"
The Yeisk Oceanarium, which opened in 2009, was the first on the Azov coast and remains one of the largest to this day. The territory of the complex is 700 sq. m, divided into non-thematic zones: Asian, Atlantic, Mediterranean, Red Sea, Amazonian. 12 aquariums are home to 5 thousand live exhibits, including angel fish, piranhas, clown fish, stingrays, and fire foxes.
True to its name, the underwater museum has a mega-aquarium with a capacity of 180 thousand liters, inhabited by the most dangerous predators - sharks. In a separate pool live starfish, which you can hold in your hands, and turtles swarm in the nearby terrarium.
The tour of the aquarium lasts an hour and begins with the demonstration of a 15-minute video telling about the inhabitants of the deep sea. The most fascinating moment for visitors is feeding the pets, including sharks, moray eels and piranhas.

Memorial Museum of I. M. Poddubny
The Ivan Poddubny Museum is the only one in Russia dedicated to the life and work of the legendary strongman. It is no coincidence that it was opened in Yeisk - the famous athlete lived in this city from 1927 to 1949, died and was buried here.
In 1956, the park of culture and recreation, where Poddubny’s grave is located, was named after him. In 1971, in an elegant building with columns, at the entrance to the park, a museum was opened, in front of which a monument to the “champion of champions” was erected.
The central exhibition hall of the museum is designed in the form of a circus “tent”; stands with exhibits are installed along the perimeter of the arena. In total there are more than 2 thousand, among them: posters, photographs, personal belongings of the wrestler, clothes, cast iron weights, barbells and even the famous 20-kilogram cane, which Poddubny never parted with.

Walking along quiet streets
Guests of Yeysk will certainly find it interesting to walk along the streets of the old part of the city. And that's why:

Ethnographic Museum "Kuban Farm"
An elegant and colorful ethno-village is located a 15-minute drive from Yeysk, in the picturesque village of Morskoy. The stylized Kuban village is imbued with the customs, traditions, and life of the Cossacks, and looks natural and extraordinary.
All the things in the museum are original: lace, clothes, household items, dishes, carpets and even icons were brought here by the creators of the museum from the villages and cities of the Krasnodar Territory. Each exhibit has its own interesting story, which the Cossack guide will tell you about.
After viewing the exhibition, guests are invited to the table to taste borscht, lard with homemade bread, vodka, uzvar and honey from the local apiary.
