Yeysk is one of the most popular summer resorts in Russia. Excellent beaches, warm sea, beautiful scenery and affordable prices. Below we’ll talk about the weather, where to stay and eat in Yeysk. We will also consider different options for getting to the resort.
Weather in Yeysk during the beach season
The beach season in Yeisk begins in June. The air and water temperatures are rising every day. The Azov Sea warms up much faster than the Black Sea, so you can spend time on the beach from the first days of the month. The water in June is warmed up to +23°, the air is +26°. The nights are also warm, about +21°. Excellent indicators for holidays with children.
July in Yeisk is the peak tourist season, but with less influx of vacationers than in the large resorts of the Krasnodar Territory. Most vacationers are families with children, who are attracted by the water temperature of +25° and air temperature of +29°. Sometimes the thermometer shows above +30°.
August in Yeysk is considered the hottest month, daytime temperatures are about +31°. In the first two weeks the thermometer shows 2° lower. The nights are quite warm, from +20° to +23°. There are still a lot of tourists, so don't expect lower prices and a good selection of accommodation. It is better to find and book a hotel in advance.
At many resorts, September is a velvet season, when you can still swim. Yeisk is no exception. In the first half of the month the weather is excellent, with temperatures ranging from +22° to +25°. The shallow water cools down quickly. But you can still swim – +19°. This is the best time for a relaxing holiday and walks through natural attractions.
General Tips
For those who decide to relax in Yeysk with children, I can give the following advice:
In the end, I would like to note that the residents of Yeisk are very friendly, like most vacationers.
Recently, the three of us could easily afford to go swimming, leaving our things on the shore. And no one has ever robbed us.
And don’t be afraid to ask where and what is better. They will always advise you on good places for swimming, for games, and for excursions.

Where to stay in Yeysk
Yeysk, located on a spit, washes the Taganrog Bay on one side, and the Yeisk Estuary on the other. There are enough beach hotels in the resort. Three areas are in particular demand.
- The bulk of tourists prefer to be located near the Kamenka embankment, on the shore of the Taganrog Bay of the Sea of Azov. The infrastructure is developed to the maximum, near the Poddubny recreation park. A favorite place for children with many attractions.
On the Yeisk embankment, in addition to numerous retail outlets with beach goods and food, there is a water park, an aquarium, a dolphinarium and an oceanarium. You can get a bird's eye view of the city from a Ferris wheel. An ideal place for families with children - the sea is shallow, but there are stones in some areas of the beach.
Yeisk Estuary
There are many housing options in close proximity to the embankment, from hotels to the private sector. Prices are very high, on the booking service for the period from late July to early August - from 15,000 rubles. for two.
- Those who want to save on accommodation choose the coast of the estuary. The beaches are not of the best quality. The bottom is muddy, although you can walk more than a kilometer to the depth. As for recreation centers, the conditions for tourists there are excellent: swimming pools, barbecue areas and other amenities.
- I prefer to relax on the spit, near the Central and Children's beaches, located opposite each other. Firstly, it is as practical as possible. If there are waves at sea, go to the estuary where the Children's Beach is located and vice versa. One place – two possibilities.
Central Beach, Yeysk
Central Beach is ideal for vacationers of any age. The infrastructure is decent: water activities, changing rooms, toilets, sun loungers and umbrellas. The clean sandy beach and sandy seabed are an added bonus. The depth begins 8 meters from the shore.
Where to stay in Yeysk is up to you to decide. I recommend staying with children on Kamenka and going to the estuary for an inexpensive holiday. Well, if your plans are exclusively for a beach holiday, look for housing on the spit.

Where to eat: cafes, shops, markets
Here, as in any resort town, there are quite a lot of different establishments where you can just have a snack or have a full meal. Prices are quite liberal.
We mostly cooked at home, but several times we ordered pizza and rolls (from 150 rubles for pizza and from 80 rubles for a portion of rolls). We had dinner a couple of times in Poddubny Park. For three (2 servings of shish kebab, 3 servings of French fries, 3 salads, 3 ice creams and plus a bottle of blackberry wine) they paid 900 rubles.
In “The PARK cafe”, which is located right at the entrance to the park, various promotions and games are often held, and accordingly you can try interesting dishes from 100 rubles. per serving.
Prices in Yeisk stores are not particularly different from prices in other Russian cities. There are chain stores, for example, Magnit.
Approximate prices for products:
It is better to buy fruits and vegetables at the central market. It is easy to get to from anywhere in the city on almost any minibus (the fare is only 12 rubles). Potatoes, cabbage, carrots are easy to find for 12-20 rubles per kg. Almost always they took sweet corn (from 7-10 rubles per cob) and cooked it at home.
It’s also worth taking sweets from the market (we all really love chuch-hella, the cost starts from 50 rubles per piece and there is a very large selection).
On the beach, it’s better not to buy food from walking vendors for children, although a couple of times we ourselves took pies (80 rubles) and chebureks (100 rubles). What they took for the child was cotton candy (70 rubles) and a caramel apple (100 rubles).
Where to eat deliciously and inexpensively in Yeysk
In recent years, Yeysk has become much better in terms of public catering facilities. Excellent colorful establishments have appeared. Small cafes and fast food outlets with shawarma are still in the lead, as they offer inexpensive food. At the same time, local entrepreneurs create better conditions for tourists by opening cozy restaurants.
The resort is a real paradise for connoisseurs of Caucasian and Kuban cuisine. Restaurants serving Caucasian cuisine serve meat cooked over an open fire. In establishments with a Kuban menu you can taste borscht, stanitsa-style dumplings and, of course, the famous “farm cutlet”. Pubs with a large assortment of foaming drinks are becoming increasingly popular. Prices, as at any resort in Russia, are different. It will be expensive and not very tasty near the beach areas. So it is better to eat away from them.
How to get to Yeysk
There are several ways to get to Yeysk, it all depends on your preferences and budget for the trip. For example:
- Air travel;
- By train;
- By bus;
- By personal or rented car.
A separate point worth highlighting is the transfer. Today this service is in good demand. A car of the selected category will be waiting for you at the railway station, bus station or airport and will comfortably deliver you to your location.
To Yeysk by plane
There are two ways to fly to Yeysk:
- Via Rostov-on-Don;
- Through Krasnodar, the capital of Kuban.
Where to look for air tickets?
I recommend looking for flight tickets here
Trains, buses and taxis run from the airport to the city itself. You can rent a car in Yeysk and then travel with it.
To Yeysk by train
You can get to Yeysk by direct routes or with transfers. Direct flights depart from Moscow and St. Petersburg. Starominskaya junction station is located 70 km from the city, so we continue on by commuter train.
- Electric train schedule to Yeisk
To Yeysk by bus
You can comfortably and relatively quickly get to Yeysk from Moscow by tourist bus. In the cabin: comfortable soft seats, air conditioning, TV, player, refrigerator and even a toilet.
Travel time is about 17 hours; the flight delay can only be caused by an unforeseen situation on the road and unfavorable weather conditions.
- Bus schedule Moscow – Yeisk
To Yeysk by car
I always give preference to a personal car. With the advent of the tourist season, prices for bus, air and train tickets increase significantly. And there may not be any convenient places. And with a car you will save time, nerves and money.
You will be driving along the M4 Don highway through Rostov. By the way, if you need a place to spend the night, I recommend the Eurasia-Aksakay motel. Affordable prices, good cuisine and comfortable rooms. Next you follow to Aksai, Kushchevskaya and through Starominskaya to Yeysk.
Beaches of Yeysk
The total length of the western and eastern beaches of Yeysk is about 2.5 km. The famous Yeisk Spit separates the estuary from Taganrog Bay. This is a great opportunity to avoid the “surprises” of the sea. For example, if there are strong waves in the estuary, then there are definitely none in the bay. So choosing a place for swimming, regardless of weather conditions, will not be difficult.
The beaches on the bay are sandy and have shallow waters. On the estuary the sea is deeper, but not by much. A depth of more than 2 meters still needs to be reached. This is the main reason for the increased demand for a resort for families with small children.
The beaches of Yeisk are attractive from all sides, but they are considered the best." Fans of active water sports prefer “Youth”. Central is more suitable for family holidays; the tourist infrastructure there is excellent.
Yeysk beaches for children
Almost all coastal areas are suitable for families with children in Yeysk. Relatively greater depth is found only on the eastern side. Western beaches are characterized by a slow increase in depth, gentle and convenient entrance to the sea. The water warms up well not only at the beginning of the season, but also in the morning.
Families with very young children prefer the “Children's” beach. The depth is minimal; an adult rarely reaches above the ankle. During low tides, small pools generally form. There is no need to worry about the safety of young vacationers. Near Children's Beach there is the famous Yeisk water park.
Kamenka beach is a continuation of the above, but with more stones. There is a dolphinarium in the immediate vicinity.
The already mentioned Central Beach is no less popular. Attracted by its convenient location, developed infrastructure: amusement park, cafe and other amenities.
As for Youth Beach, it is not very suitable for families with children. Frequent strong undercurrents create a danger when bathing children. In addition, this is a favorite place for professional surfers and kitesurfers.
Kamenka Beach
Kamenka Beach stretches along the Taganrog embankment, with three descents leading to the shore.
It’s not for nothing that Kamenka got its name: unlike the beaches on the Yeisk Spit, here the beach is sand and pebbles, there are places with large stones. Due to slippery boulders, it is not convenient to enter the water everywhere.
The beach is not very good. You can’t go into the sea, you’ll rip off all your legs and it’s very small. We talked to a lot of people on this beach, they think that it is the only one in Yeisk, and they are content with it. Then they go to their home and tell everyone what a swamp and sea there is in Yeisk... Like some of my friends. Although Yeysk has a very good central beach. / Roman Viktorovich.
Many people use special rubber slippers - aquasocks, which are sold right there. The only problem is getting into the water, because beyond that there is sand and of course it’s shallow. Adults will have to go very far into the sea to swim.
Beautiful embankment) the beach itself is not very good))) let's say for an amateur) the entrance to the sea is on rocks) but probably this has its advantages) Additional massage) and the whole range of entertainment and infrastructure is available. / Elvira Panfilova.
Another disadvantage is the ability to drive to the beach by car, which many people take advantage of. In addition, there are almost no awnings and no opportunity to hide from the southern sun. All day long there is a brisk trade - pies, belyashi, corn.
There is, of course, a large coastal area, a lot of entertainment, a lot of housing for vacationers, but it is a bit shallow and there are stones in the water. I prefer the central beach, the sand is good there, the sea is deeper and there is much more entertainment. / Anatoly K.
Kamenka is one of the most popular beaches in the city due to the abundance of water and land activities. You can rent a jet ski or catamaran, ride on a “tablet”, “banana”, there are inflatable trampolines, a “Catapult” attraction, and there are experts in braiding hair and creating temporary tattoos. The beach is equipped: there are changing cabins, dry closets, sports grounds, sun loungers for rent, garbage is removed every day. On the beach there is the Nemo water park, nearby there is a dolphinarium and an oceanarium, many cafes, including the stylized restaurant “Cossack Kuren”.
Entertainment in Yeysk
Every tourist, going on vacation, asks the question: “Where to go and what to see in Yeisk?” There is more than enough entertainment and interesting objects in the city. Let's figure out together where to spend time.
Crocodile Canyon
The crocodile farm in Yeysk opened in 2011 and throughout its existence has become one of the most visited sites. The main feature is the absence of glass or protective nets. Visitors are one level above the reptiles, who swim calmly in artificial pools that closely resemble their natural environment. In addition to crocodiles of various ages and sizes, the nursery is home to huge turtles, scorpions, chameleons and some strange creature with a blue tongue. It's called a skink, and it looks like both a snake and a lizard. In general, I have never seen such a miracle before.
Waterpark “Nemo”
Next to the embankment and Children's Beach of Yeysk there is the Nemo water park, ideal for tourists of any age. The territory has 15 slides, 2 children's pools, attractions, cafes and bars, locker rooms, a palm alley and swimming pools for children and adults. There are separate slides for the youngest holidaymakers. The water park is open from June to the first of September.
Oceanarium “Shark Reef”
If you are planning to relax on Kamenka beach in Yeisk, be sure to visit the oceanarium. The building looks like a sea cliff with a shark hanging at the entrance, the layout is natural. There are 12 themed halls with 150 species of marine life. The highlight of the aquarium can be considered the demonstration of a video about the pools of the world's oceans, which is shown before the excursion. In total, the exhibition includes more than 4 thousand specimens: marine, oceanic, lake and river. There is something to see. And you can even pick up starfish.
Yeisk Spit and Bird Island
Part of the Yeisk Peninsula is the 3-kilometer sandy Yeisk Spit. Until the 14th year of the last century, its length was about 9 km. By the forces of nature, part of the land was eroded and separated from the spit, forming an island, today called “Bird Island”. The second name is “Seven Winds”. From the central beach, excursions to the island are organized, with amazing birds that are not afraid of people.
Dolphinarium
Yeisk Dolphinarium has long won the love of vacationers. One of the most popular places in the resort for family leisure. In addition to a gorgeous performance, his show is considered one of the best on the Azov coast; vacationers can swim with dolphins. For an additional fee, a number of additional services are offered, including communication with the “stars” of the animal world.
Rope park “Laziness in the stump”
Every year, relatively extreme entertainment in rope parks is gaining more and more popularity. This unusual entertainment is breathtaking, but not as dangerous as, for example, rock climbing. “Laziness in the Stump” is located in the Primorsky Park. The complex with ropes, transitions, descents and ascents on rope ladders is suitable for children of different ages.
All routes have a continuous insurance system; young travelers are provided with equipment and instructions. The child is under the close supervision of an instructor at all times.
Amusement park VAP
Vacationers located near the Central Beach of Yeysk do not miss the opportunity to visit the most popular entertainment area for children and adults - VAP. A variety of attractions for every taste and age, a playground, karting, a shooting range and a tent with souvenirs. One of the most popular attractions is the Ferris wheel, which offers incredibly breathtaking views of the sea and the city. You can ride horses, enjoy ice cream or cotton candy.
Leisure and entertainment for children
Kamenka is a fairly narrow beach. To get to it, you need to go down the hill. But on the hill there is already a beautifully decorated embankment.
On this embankment there is the Kamenka Hotel and the Cossack Kuren cafe. But between them is simply a children's paradise:
There is also an oceanarium, a dolphinarium, and a Crocodile Canyon . We visited the dolphinarium (1000 rubles per person, including a child over 3 years old). It was also possible to ride dolphins for an additional fee (RUR 3,000).
Here you could ride a camel , take a photo with a monkey, a parrot and a crocodile.
The next resting point is Poddubny Park . There is also a museum named after him. In the park itself there is a small zoo (250 rubles). Again, there are many children's attractions here. A huge number of stalls with souvenirs, as well as “Everything for 20 rubles” stalls, where we simply bought all sorts of small things for our daughter.
excursions right in the park or on the beach . Our family went to the Cossack farm, where we rode horses (2500 rubles for a two-hour ride for each).
Separately, it is worth highlighting the water park (800 rubles for half a day or 1000 rubles for the whole day). We spent the whole day there. You cannot take food or drinks into it, but there are several stalls with food and drinks on the territory itself.
The water park has many slides for children to ride or play. Children's pool and just a playground. All sun loungers are under a canopy, but you should not neglect the cream, otherwise you can get sunburned during the day.
Sights of Yeysk
In addition to entertainment, Yeysk has many attractions. I will not describe everything; we will consider only the most visited objects that deserve special attention.

Yeisk Museum of History and Local Lore
The building of the local history museum, built in 1913, is considered an architectural monument of Yeisk. The museum complex was opened 7 years after construction. Historical facts of the North-Eastern Azov region were collected bit by bit. Unfortunately, many exhibits were lost during the Second World War, and the building itself was seriously damaged. But, thanks to caring citizens, almost everything was restored.

Therefore, the local population calls the building the Mukovina-Malina mansion.
