Summer is slowly but surely coming to an end, but holidays and vacations are still going on. However, relaxing and going to interesting, picturesque places in the Pskov region is not prohibited at any time of the year. For a small family trip, you don’t need to look at the calendar; better study the map and this mini-navigator. After reading it, you will only need to choose the direction to your liking.
The birth of the trip and its participants
As always, the idea of the trip was born completely spontaneously. In a conversation with old acquaintances, a sacramental phrase arose: “Shouldn’t we go to...?” And then began clarifying the route, selecting hotels, searching for information about attractions and trying to cram everything I wanted to see into a very limited time period. We decided to go to the Pskov region. I was there two years ago on an excursion to the Pushkin Mountains, the rest of our team went to the Pskov region for the first time.
We are two crews: our friends and my mother and I. We drove in two cars. We decided that we wouldn’t put much effort on the road: sightseeing is, of course, good and right, but we also want to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature and the places we’ll be passing through. Therefore, we traveled to Pskov in two days, with an overnight stay in Velikiye Luki. In Pskov itself we lived outside the city, at a recreation center.
