“Creative Mile” is the name of the concert venue into which the Gorky Embankment and Duvanovskaya Street in Evpatoria are transformed for the entire holiday season from June to August. Street performers, dancers, magicians perform here every evening, and a lot of other interesting things happen.

By car
Previously, before the peninsula returned to Russia, we traveled through Kharkov and Belgorod, the journey took a day, with an overnight stay at customs. Now, due to the events in Ukraine, the “direct” route is closed. You need to drive along the M4 Don highway to the port of Kavkaz in the Krasnodar Territory, then take a ferry to Kerch, and after another 4 hours you will be there. There are no complaints about the M4 itself - almost the entire length is 4 lanes, good asphalt. In some sections after Voronezh the road narrows to two lanes, but such places are few. Difficulties begin when approaching the crossing; it simply cannot cope with the load. The waiting time can be 20 hours or more. In general, if you are not one of those who have the right to skip the queue (disabled people of groups 1 and 2 or families with children under one year of age), then traveling by car until the construction of the bridge across the Kerch Strait is completed is not the best idea.
By car
If you like long trips behind the wheel and are used to traveling on a schedule that suits you, you can go to Evpatoria by private car.
The main part of the route will take place along the M4 highway. It is best to go through the Krasnodar region, bypassing Ukraine.
In the Temryuk district of the Krasnodar Territory, near the village of Kosa Chushka, there is a ferry crossing. The ferry arrives in Kerch.

A little history
Archaeological excavations claim that people lived on the territory of the modern city back in the 3rd millennium BC. e. IV century BC e. became the period when a wonderful Greek city-state called Kerkentida was built on the shores of the Gulf of Kalamita. Later this territory became part of the Kherson state. In the 15th century, the Crimean Tatars captured the state and renamed Kerkentida to Gezlev.
Very little time passed, and according to the Kuchuk-Kainardzhi Treaty, the city ceded to the Russian Empire. Catherine II, who was in power at that time, signed a decree renaming Gezlev to Yevpatoria and giving the city district status. The beginning of the 19th century was the time of the opening of a large seaport in this part of the Black Sea. A few decades later, the resort “industry” began to develop here. This was facilitated by a mild climate, unique healing mud, an incredible number of sandy beaches, and healing springs with mineral waters. It was from the end of the 19th century that the history of Evpatoria as a resort city began.

If you don't mind long bus rides, this could be ideal for you. From Moscow to Yevpatoria it takes 29 hours, the cost is 3300 rubles, the bus arrives at the railway station. It takes about 12 hours to get from Krasnodar to Yevpatoria, the ticket price is 1300 rubles.
