The small village of Agoy is located in the Tuapse region, just 10 km from the regional center. It is attractive to people who value a calm, peaceful holiday away from the noisy city and the bustle of a large resort. Immediately behind the village rise the Caucasus Mountains. The climate is comfortable, there is practically no rain in summer, and a cool breeze saves you from the heat. Agoy is popular due to its unique microclimate. Many come here to improve their health and restore their immune system.

Housing in Agoy is mainly offered in the private sector within walking distance to the sea. The resort is most suitable for families with children. The company of young people here will be boring. There are no clubs or discos in the village. The entertainment infrastructure in Agoy is poorly developed.

The sea in Agoy is the cleanest in Greater Sochi. This is due to active water exchange. Even at a depth of three meters you can see the stones at the bottom. The sand and pebble beaches of Agoy stretch for 11 km, the width of the coast is about 40 meters.

"Central" beach

The municipal or central beach of the village is located between the mouth of the Agoy River and the Chaika recreation center. There are two exits to the beach: one along Central Street, the second along Emerald Street along the Agoy River.

The length of the coast is about half a kilometer and the width is 40 meters. The beach is flat without large stones and boulders; sometimes there are small sandy islands, but mostly the shore is strewn with pebbles. Constant currents near the village of Agoy help purify sea water. Swimming here is especially pleasant. The swimming season opens in May and sometimes, in good weather, lasts until October.

The road to the beach passes through a small market where there are shops, cafes and bars. They also offer massage and peeling with Garra Rufa fish. From the beach you can see the well-known Kiselev Rock; you can walk along the shore to it.

At the beginning of summer there are still few tourists, so not all entertainment is available. Closer to July, when the influx of vacationers increases, a shooting range, massage and hydromassage parlors, attractions are opened on the beach, inflatable slides and trampolines for children are installed. Tourists can take a boat ride out to sea, ride a banana boat, catamaran, or water ski. To ensure the safety of vacationers, lifeguards are constantly on duty at the towers.

Agoy: history, geography, climate

Until 1915, the area was inhabited by people from Bolshaya Shapsugia and random settlers. At the beginning of the last century, the Agoy tract began to be classified as part of the Tuapse district, but the composition of the local residents was inconsistent. Only since 1940, the village, which became the center of the Agoy village council in the Tuapse region, began to develop as a resort area. At the same time, Agoy is a military town with its own airfield. Population: less than 2,500 inhabitants. The infrastructure of the village is mainly aimed at providing services for those who are going on vacation in Agoy.

Climate of the village Agoy, located along the banks of the river of the same name, is subtropical. During the beach season, which lasts from the last ten days of May to the first days of October, the average air temperature remains at +230. The sea water off the coast warms up to +240/+260 and is very comfortable for swimming.

The picturesque natural views of the village of Agoy (Krasnodar Territory) do not leave even the most skeptical traveler indifferent: the mountains surrounding the village are almost completely covered with diverse vegetation, consisting of Pitsunda pines, larches, chestnuts and other trees. The area itself is hilly and normal walks can easily turn into obstacle walking. The forests are predominantly coniferous, so excursions to natural attractions are equivalent to taking healing air baths.

"Avtotransportnik Rossii" is a very popular Russian sanatorium. The buildings stand right on the shore and are close to the beach. There is paid guarded parking near the beach. The beach is large, clean and beautiful. Most of it is covered with small pebbles; the area for VIPs is covered with grass.

The beach is located in a small bay, on one side the beach is limited by an artificial embankment of stones, on the other by rocks. The beach is very well maintained and clean. Vacationers at the sanatorium are provided with umbrellas and sun loungers; other beach visitors can rent them. At the entrance to the beach there are toilets, changing cabins, and showers. You can take a break from the sun in a cafe under a shady canopy; there is a sauna on the beach.

Those who don't like to just lie in the sun won't be bored on the beach. The territory has water polo and volleyball courts, a boat station and a diving center.

Market

From May to October, a large spontaneous market takes place near the beach of the village of Agoy. It is difficult to stay hungry here - fruits, drinks, and ice cream are sold. There are numerous cafes. In the evenings, some of them have music and even dancing, but there is practically no nightlife on this beach. Prices in cafes and canteens near the beach are much lower than, for example, in neighboring Tuapse, so the holiday can easily be budget-friendly.

The neighboring tents sell children's toys and inflatable rings, swimsuits and other clothes that may be useful on vacation. You can also buy souvenirs to remember your visit to the Krasnodar region. The assortment is wide and prices are reasonable.

The recreation center is located right behind the Central Beach. The area is very well-groomed, the shore is pebbly everywhere. The descent into the sea is gradual and there are no dangerous stones or boulders in the water.

The beach is perfect for families with children. The water temperature in summer does not drop below +25 0C. There are no depth differences. The beach area is closed, but not only guests of the recreation center can relax on it.

You can hide from the sun on the beach under an umbrella or a mushroom. There are trampolines, slides and inflatable pools for children. There is also plenty of entertainment for adults. There are scooter and boat rentals. The safety of vacationers is ensured by rescuers on the towers and medical workers.

Coastline

The width of the coastline is about 40 m. The beach of the village of Agoy is pebble: the stones are mostly small and medium in size, well-rolled by the waves, so it does not cause inconvenience. In several places along the entire length of the beach on the coast, wooden decking has been laid.

The bottom of the shore is flat, there are no large stones or holes, so even children can swim. If desired, you can also purchase special slippers for comfortable entry into the water. During the holiday season, a rescue station is constantly operating on the beach in the village of Agoy.

Natural forces are responsible for the purity of water. There is a noticeable current here that does not allow debris to wash ashore. A breakwater passing nearby protects the beach line from strong waves.

Due to the small size of the village and the limited number of vacationers, Agoy is usually not crowded. Even with the relatively modest size of the beach and at the height of the tourist season, you can find a place to relax.

The Don highway has a bend in this place, so the distance from it to the sea is greater than on other sections of the coast. Road noise does not bother vacationers.

Beach at the Kiseleva rock

From the center of the village to the rock is a little more than 3 km. This place is very beautiful and popular among tourists. The rock got its name in honor of the artist who painted seascapes here.

The beach is located at the foot of the cliff, and a narrow path leads to it. The beach is completely wild, there are no amenities on it. This does not stop tourists, and the shore near the Kiselev rock is never empty. Fishermen often come to the beach in search of a good catch of fish and sea crabs. Swimming on the beach should be done with caution. There are many sharp and large stones at the bottom.

Agoy is a village located in the Krasnodar region of the Tuapse region. The river of the same name flows here, which looks very beautiful in the photo in autumn. The city of Tuapse is located 5 km from the village. To the south, 100 km is Krasnodar.

The highway connecting Tuapse with Novorossiysk passes through the village. Geographically, Agoy occupies the southern slope of the Caucasus Mountains.

From different sides of the world it borders with settlements:

Nebug - from the north-west.
Aguy-Shapsugom - from the east.
Tuapse - from the southeast.

From Moscow you can fly by plane to Gelendzhik airport. Flights from other cities are accepted in Krasnodar and Adler. Then you can take a taxi. There is also a bus connection, but for this you will have to make transfers.

You can get to Tuapse by rail. There is a bus station 300 m away. Minibuses and buses depart from here to many destinations. Often their intermediate point is Agoy.

Federal highway during the holiday season

Before Krasnodar we encountered the first obstacle - traffic jams due to road repairs. I would like to note that tourists consistently encounter this problem every year. Dust, dirt, the strong smell of freshly laid asphalt - because of all this, it was impossible to open the window. The cars drove back to back, constantly honking. Only the air conditioner saved us from the sweltering heat.

We were stuck in traffic jams for two hours. We drove as slowly as possible. In addition, we managed to get stuck in a traffic jam in front of Krasnodar itself. Since we didn’t really know the road, we accidentally missed the turn onto the highway, driving into the city instead. It was no longer possible to turn around: cars surrounded us from all sides. As a result, we got stuck in all the traffic jams in Krasnodar and only after that found the way back.

Due to the road repairs, the junction was not visible - rather, it looked like a dirt road. For those who are planning to travel to the Krasnodar region for the first time, I would like to give advice: look in advance and remember this barely noticeable junction on the map. It was necessary to follow the signs for Goryachiy Klyuch and Dzhubga.

Finally, we drove through Krasnodar, and mountains began to appear on the horizon. My mood immediately improved noticeably. Even the air seems to have become cleaner. The Dzhubga sign convinced us that we were on the right road.

In the village of Agoy there is an excellent beach, where until lunch you can sit in the shade under a rock, hiding from the scorching sun. It is located right behind the Neftyanik boarding house.

We also wanted to see at least a little of the local attractions, so every evening we went to the city of Tuapse.

Hello, Tuapse!

Tuapse is a truly beautiful resort town, which has a port, an embankment, and fountains. There is free Wi-Fi in the main square, and judging by the reviews, the Internet is quite fast. Tourists leisurely and even lazily walk along the embankment, children cheerfully run around - in a word, the evening life of the resort town is in full swing. I would also like to note that there are not very many tourists here.

Another local attraction is the ancient dolmens and Kiselyov rock. Dolmens seemed boring to me. I would like to tell you more about the rock. She is a real calling card of Tuapse. On the embankment, all you could hear from all sides was “boat trips to Kiselyov’s Rock.” It gained its popularity immediately after the famous fishing scene for the Soviet film “The Diamond Arm” was filmed there. Crowds of tourists dream of taking pictures near the rock.

We also succumbed to the general excitement, and therefore went to look at the rock. However, we decided to get there not by boat, but by our own car. We asked the locals for directions, looked up directions on the Internet, and immediately rushed to our destination.

The entrance to the rock is located between Tuapse and the village of Agoy. Having reached the barrier, we left the car and continued on foot along the mountain.

Local residents told us that the descent from the cliff used to be very dangerous, but now it has been secured and strengthened. There is a wooden staircase here that you can safely go down.

The beach here is perfect - beautiful, cozy, uncrowded. A holiday here would be wonderful if not for one “but”. Every hour, the Irbis ferry moored near the rock, from which crowds of curious tourists get out and start taking pictures of everything.

This is, of course, a little annoying. However, they are given about 15 minutes to take photographs, after which they pack up and go back. After this, silence returns again.

However, we decided that the game was not worth the candle. The beach in the village of Agoy is no worse than the one located near the famous Kiselyov rock. We were especially amazed by the colorful sunsets.
