Novomikhailovsky is an urban resort village located in the Krasnodar Territory. It is part of the resort area of the Tuapse region. The settlement received its name from the military Mikhailovskaya Line, located exactly on the site of the current resort.

Beach of the Orlyonok camp in Plyakho

This beach is located in the Plyakho microdistrict, on the southern bank of the river of the same name (named after the “Dragon Mountain”). We are talking about the resort center of the specified residential area. Named after a children's camp, it is intended only for those who relax there.

The length of the recreation is as much as 400 m, the width is from 60 to 20 m. The area has long collapsible mini-sheds, changing rooms, wooden walkways and a lifeguard tower. Near the water, behind the children's camps, there are mini-hotels and guest estates.

The climate in Novomikhailovka is of a mixed type: it combines the characteristics of Mediterranean and subtropical weather conditions.

Weather conditions in the summer months (June-August)

Summer in the village is hot. The air in the summer months warms up from +240 to +310. At night the temperature does not drop below +180.

It is most comfortable to swim in the sea in the summer in July or August; the water in these months reaches +250-+290, in June this figure is slightly lower - +220-+240. In September, the air temperature is still high: on average +250, at night – +170-+180. In October, the heat subsides: the thermometer shows an average of +180 during the day and +110 at night, and in November these figures drop to +120 and +80, respectively.

It is comfortable to swim in the sea only in September: the water temperature is +240, from October to November the sea gradually cools to +160. There are still a lot of sunny days in the village (about 20), the amount of precipitation is slightly increasing (up to 82 mm). Wind gusts in autumn at the resort can reach 4.5 m/s.

Weather conditions during the winter months (December-February)

Winter in Novomikhailovka is mild and quite warm: the average daytime temperature for 3 months rarely drops below +60, and the night temperature – below +20. The sea does not freeze in winter; the average water temperature is +70-+80. The average precipitation during the cold period increases to 100 mm. The wind can reach speeds of up to 5.7 m/s.

Weather conditions in the spring months (March-May)

In March and April, the village is still quite cold: the average daytime temperature is +100-+150, night temperature – +60-+80. The sea is warmed up to +90-+110. Historical information about the village of Novomikhailovsky.

In 1864, the village of Novomikhailovka was erected by the Shapsug coastal regiment, located on the Nechepsukho River; 274 people lived in the village. For the heroic battles, which showed the fortification of Mikhailovskoye, which existed at the mouth of a river called Vulan. By order of March twenty-sixth, 1864, the village of Novomikhailovskoye received registration in the lists of residential areas. On December 4, 1869, by the highest order, the village was renamed the village of Novomikhailovskoye. In 1870, the Shapsug battalion was disbanded.

According to the 1905 census, the village of Novomikhailovskoye numbered 78 Russian residential courtyards. The board of the Novomikhailovsky Agricultural Society was built in the village. The audit carried out on January 1, 1917, the village of Novomikhailovka was in the Tuapse district.

On July 12, 1920, the village of Novomikhailovka consisted of 98 residential yards, with a population of 692 people. The infrastructure consisted of a post office, a telegraph, and a school in which there were two teachers among the teaching staff. On April 26, 1923, the village of Novomikhailovskoye was part of the Dzhuba administrative-territorial unit of the Tuapse region.
