History of Shumikha

Shumikha was founded in 1892 as a railway station of the West Siberian Railway under construction. There are no surviving materials confirming the origin of the city's name. It received its unusual name, according to old-timers, from the reeds that grew in abundance on the local reservoirs and made noise even from a light breeze.

There are two more versions: From the name of the lake, which has its large size, round shape, and the same name as the city, its common name, located south of the city (and, as suggested, received its name - Shumikha, from the thickets of reeds growing densely along its shores, and creating, from the blowing wind that sways them, an interesting effect of multiple, both quiet and distant, and at the same time, close and louder, noise, rustling). Shumikha is the name of the gold leaf that the Bukharans traded in these places (see, for example, the essay by A. S. Pushkin “The History of the Pugachev Rebellion”). A settlement of 50 houses began to form at the station for commercial and industrial purposes. Gradually, the village of Shumikha grew, two elementary schools appeared in it - a railway school and a paid village school, one small paramedic station, and a railway club. In the village there were three mills, a lard factory, a soap factory and a tannery, a church, several taverns and an elevator for half a million poods of bread.

The first resident of Shumikha was Spiridon Kleshchev, who himself lived on Paskotin, on the southern shore of Lake Krutoberegovoy. Local residents nicknamed the peasant Spiridon Kleshchev “Yaman” (Tatar for “bad”). Until now, no one knows why the locals called him that. As soon as they began to build the West Siberian Railway, Spiridon Kleshchev opened a secret sale of vodka and various food supplies on his cattle property, accepted stolen things, and subsequently opened a brothel on his estate. During a search in the basement of Spiridon Kleshchev, 7 corpses were found. In 1907, Spiridon Kleshchev was arrested; during his arrest, he offered armed resistance, was beaten and thrown into prison, where he died from beatings.

During the Great Patriotic War, over 13 thousand citizens went to the front. More than 5 thousand of them died. A memorial was opened in their memory in Shumikha. Two people were awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union twice - Sergei Ivanovich Gritsevets and Kirill Alekseevich Evstigneev. Pyotr Grigorievich Ageev became a Hero of the Soviet Union. All of them are military pilots.

During the war, there was a special hospital No. 3757 in the village for the treatment of seriously wounded prisoners of war of foreign armies requiring long-term treatment.

Meaning of the word hype

Examples of the use of the word hype in literature.

But it’s precisely in this regard that Alpha is very much a match for me: she doesn’t give a damn about men and can’t stand the women’s hype around love.
The incident was over, and after lunch I was already sitting in full dress uniform in the office of General Warburg, who did not say a word about the fuss raised by his overly nervous chief of staff.

About the incident at Big Bittern Lake, Mason had already heard from Miss Saunders everything that she had learned herself, and, like Investigator Haight, he immediately realized that the fuss that would certainly arise around this crime would be very beneficial to him.

He approached: now the noise disgusts him, he entered quietly And with such humility That he was inaudible and invisible, For courtliness rebelled 7570 In his soul at the absurdity of That which the people had to Stand up at His every exit and entrance.

And the masses, who are trying to inflame themselves with terrorist hype, are plunging even deeper into hungry apathy.

All the destruction on the junk is a simple precaution so that the entire Mekong does not learn our exploits very soon, since we are very modest people and do not like the hype around us.

And with all this hysteria, emotional noise, waving our arms and pretending to be important, as if we were big shots, we have not yet been able to achieve anything.

The incident was drowned out by the uproar surrounding a Russian ship that sank under unclear circumstances and was fishing east of the Kuril Islands.

The time had come for the apotheosis of shouts, applause and commotion, I don’t know, I’ve never seen anything like this before, everyone was screaming, everyone wanted to touch Novecento, a general chaos, nothing could be made out.

However, perhaps the hype they make about their doctrine stimulates latent parapsychological forces.

But if the day laborers' union invests money in your hotel, then after today's brouhaha, attention will return to it again, and damn soon.

But the point of our expedition and this whole idea of a transpolar air route was publicity, and even more - newspaper hype!

I also thought about this plan: hide in the basement of the house, dig a hole in the bales with Khomeini’s pamphlets, stay there and understand from the noise who is looking for me, what they want.

The director of the club, who is also, apparently, the head of the ballet club, a refined young man in black tights and thick woolen socks, whom everyone called Ilya Ilyich, simultaneously giving commands and showing steps, told Yana that the exhibition was closed until further notice, that there were too many people around unnecessary fuss, that such a stir only harms Darenov, that he himself ordered not to let anyone in for now.

In the following days and weeks, Dieterichs appeared before the readers of these newspapers, like a certain phoenix, born from the ashes of newspaper hype, appeared as a brave, military commander, capable of great deeds, a wise, perspicacious politician, full of strength and will.

Transport

Railway transport. The electrified Trans-Siberian Railway Moscow - Chelyabinsk - Kurgan - Vladivostok (Chelyabinsk - Kurgan line) passes through the city with high traffic intensity (about 78 passenger trains per day). Within the city there is the Shumikha railway station (hourly departure of more than 30 people), which is part of the Kurgan branch of the South Ural Railway, a branch of Russian Railways OJSC. Direct direct connection with Kurgan and Chelyabinsk (5 suburban electric trains daily, for all electric trains the Shumikha station is the final or starting point). The high-speed suburban electric train Kurgan - Chelyabinsk (one electric train daily) is parked at the station. The station is open for freight work.

Automobile transport. 2 kilometers north of the city lies the Baikal federal highway, which provides access to Kurgan, Omsk, Novosibirsk and Chelyabinsk. Also in Shumikha, the regional highway P328 originates, providing access to Kostanay, and the Shumikha - Shadrinsk highway provides access to Shadrinsk and Yekaterinburg.

Bus service. Buses depart from the bus station for regular intercity (to Kurgan, Shadrinsk, Kurtamysh, Shchuchye, Tobolsk and Chelyabinsk) and intra-district routes (to Maloe Dyuryagino, Trusilovo, Ptichye and others). Passenger transportation is carried out by private carriers, previously carried out by the Shumikhinsky PATO. The routes are served by Fiat Ducato, Hyundai H-100, GAZ-322132, Kia Granbird buses. The bus station is combined with a railway station, which is a positive factor in organizing passenger traffic.

Intracity transport. The first bus route appeared in 1955 and it ran on the route “Mayevka” - “Zagotzerno”. In the 1960s, route No. 2 “PATO - st. Permyakova", connecting the northern and southern parts of the city, route No. 1 was renamed "Mayevka - st. Western". In connection with the construction of the Shumikha meat processing plant in the 1970s, route No. 3 “Meat processing plant - Poultry processing plant” appeared. The traffic interval on route No. 1 ranged from 8 to 12 minutes, on routes No. 2 and No. 3 from 10 to 15 minutes. In the 1980s, after the construction of a paved road from the village of Mayevka to the meat processing plant, route No. 3 was canceled, and route No. 1 was extended to the meat processing plant. On routes No. 1 and No. 3, there were mainly large-capacity LiAZ-677 and LAZ-695 buses, and on route No. 2, medium-capacity PAZ-3205 buses. Service regularity was erratic in the early 1990s, especially on route No. 2, and by the end of the 1990s large buses no longer operated in the city. In the early 2000s, minibus taxis appeared. There are 3 city bus routes. Route No. 1 connects the western part of the city with the eastern part, route No. 2 connects the southern part of the city with the eastern part, and route No. 3 connects the northern part of the city with the eastern part. All three routes go through the railway/bus station along the main streets of the city. The sphere of taxi transportation is developed.
