In 1805, at the mouth of the Kuba River, a tributary of the Sergi River, the Moscow merchant and industrialist Mikhail Gubin, who bought in 1789 from I.I. Demidov Nizhneserginsky and Verkhnee-Serginsky factories, began to build an ironworks. In August 1808, workers rolled the first pounds of sheet iron. The plant (and the village was named after its founder and owner Mikhail Gubin - Mikhailovsky Plant. For the production of iron (mainly for roofing) cast iron was used from the Atigsky, Nizhneserginsky and Verkhneufaleysky factories. The finished products were rafted down the Ufa River during the flood period. The main market is Nizhny Novgorod fair, and the main buyers of the products of the Serginskys and JSC "Krovlya". In 1860, three miles from the Mikhailovsky plant near the village of Ufimka, the Ural stationery factory of Yates was built. There were up to 11 thousand . people, there was a volost administration, several schools (including a craft school), a hospital, a church, about 60 trading enterprises, numerous trades (shoemaking, rolling, blacksmithing). After the Civil War, the Mikhailovsky plant was mothballed, so many Residents of the village left for other Ural factories. The plant became operational again in July 1925. It already employed 800 workers. In 1940, the plant produced 21 thousand tons of roofing iron. During the war years, the company developed products for the needs of the front. The production specialization of the village began to change radically in the late 40s, when the Mikhailovsky plant switched to foil rolling production.
