The temple that can be seen today was built a little later, its consecration took place in October 1903.

Over more than a hundred years of existence, the temple witnessed the most important historical events; in the post-revolutionary period, it was partially destroyed and converted into a club. For some time, the church bell tower served as a beacon, only this saved the building from complete destruction.

In 1990, it was decided to restore the ancient temple; large-scale reconstruction was completed in 2005. Today, a beautiful temple with a facade and sky-blue domes is considered one of the most beautiful architectural monuments of the city of Saki.
