Tatyana vacationed in Dzhemet in June with her sister and three children - from one to two years old. For the website kudarf.ru, she spoke about the reasons for choosing the resort, features of holidays with small children, impressions and other details.
Dzhemete is a small village located along Pionersky Avenue. On one side of it there is a similar settlement Vityazevo, on the other - Anapa. Dzhemete is a great place to relax with children, but not at all suitable for young people. There are no parties, nightclubs or late-night entertainment, but there are plenty of children's attractions, a sandy beach and a smooth descent into the sea.

Nutrition
There is food in the village for every taste and budget. There are small cafes and canteens literally everywhere, traditional delicacies and buns are sold on the beach, and there are several kebab shops.
We were all inclusive, so we ate at the hotel. Once we went to the canteen on Pionersky Prospekt when we went to Safari Park and it was a bit far from the hotel. The prices were pleasantly surprising, mashed potatoes with a cutlet for 120 rubles, and quite tasty. We didn't get poisoned, we liked it.
Just for fun, we went to a cafe next to the hotel in the evening, you can’t really sit with the kids, we ate ice cream, the prices in the cafe were the same as everywhere else, for 4 servings of ice cream and 2 milkshakes we paid about 800 rubles. Not cheap, but you can do it once.
We fell in love with kebabs. We took them often, in different places, in my opinion - they are like twins, in terms of prices and quality. It is difficult to recommend a specific place. Mostly they make it right on the street, we didn’t go to kebab cafes, we took it with us to the hotel.
There are many shops in the villages; many owners of large guest houses open a small shop. They bought fruits at the market, very tasty figs, cheap strawberries. At the beginning of the holiday, the prices were ridiculous, not only for fruit, but also for ordinary water in stores. Closer to July they grew sharply, it’s good that we were already leaving. Conclusion: no one will go hungry, there are plenty of cafes and canteens, everyone cares about their reputation and strives to cook tasty and high-quality food.
About homemade wine. If you really want it, don’t buy it from merchants on the beach. In front of us, the man swore that it was just juice diluted with vodka. They give you one thing to try and buy another.

Beach
The beach in Dzhemete is sandy, this was one of the reasons for choosing this resort. The width of the beach is very wide; I do not recommend using a stroller on the beach. Of course, there are floorings there, but they are located in certain places, and dragging a stroller along the sand is not the most pleasant experience.
Some tips for those going to the beach:
- pay 150 rubles and take a sun lounger;
- come early in the morning, otherwise you will have to walk a long way from the place on the beach to the sea;
- choose a place away from entertainment.
There are a lot of water activities on the beach, but if you sit next to them, after 15 minutes the endless barking will begin to irritate you. On the public beach in early June it was quite tolerable, just tolerable, since people had to lie close together and walk to the sea on other people’s towels.
It’s scary to imagine what’s going on there in August.
For those who appreciate comfort, there are sun loungers, you pay 150 rubles for the whole day and that’s it, next to you is another piece of sand that no one will trample on.
We had our own beach, fenced area and path to the sea. This is much more pleasant, there was enough space for everyone and sellers of “cold beer-fish, sausage in dough, homemade wine” did not walk around the fenced area.
Advantages of the beach itself:
- fine sand, the children are simply beautiful, they bought toys, they sit and make Easter cakes;
- the entrance to the sea is very smooth, our children splashed near the shore;
- in June the sea is quite clear, the sea is up to 25.
The downside is that after June 25 and throughout July, algae appeared and the sea became cloudy . We no longer dared to go into this gray-green something, but people were swimming, coming out all green with pieces of some kind of hairy pieces on their swimsuits. Unpleasant.
Leisure
There is nothing, nothing at all as far as entertainment for adults is concerned. We were traveling with children, so it was not a tragedy for us.
But the children definitely won’t be bored. The rides are very different, for all ages, even our 11-month-old rode on a train. The children squealed with joy, every day they asked to go to these trains, cars, labyrinths.

What we really liked was the Safari Park . Even though it was quite small, the children were delighted, and so were we. You can reach it on foot if you go towards Anapa, to the right of the village itself. We walked with strollers. an aquarium nearby , but we did not go in, although it is praised.

The minibuses run frequently, even very often. But getting into it is a whole quest. To get out, however, too. And taking into account children, do not ride them under any circumstances, do not repeat our mistake.
It looks something like this - a minibus stops, already full, no matter where you board it. We, naive, decided to wait for the next one, but they are all like that. They will press down there from all sides, the locals are angry with the vacationers. In general, we went back by taxi. We paid about 250 rubles from everyone, but quickly and comfortably.
In Anapa we went to the zoo, penguinarium and amusement park, everything was great, we liked everything. I didn’t like the endless ambulance sirens, I don’t know why, but they say it’s always like that there.

When traveling to Dzhemete, you should keep in mind that the best time to relax here is June and September. The rest of the time, an intestinal infection is raging, and it’s too stuffy, the sea is blooming. If you don’t have money with you in your suitcase, you should take care of the following in advance:
- Sun cream. You can buy as much as you like on the spot, but the prices are inflated.
- Medicines. Take the entire first aid kit with you. We bought Panthenol at the pharmacy when ours ran out. So, if in St. Petersburg we bought it for 280 rubles, then in Dzhemet we paid 420 rubles for the same tube. This is for example.
- Swimming circles, toys. Especially if you are traveling by car. Take everything with you. This stuff is available at every turn in Dzhemet, and you can even find decent prices. But basically it’s 50-100 rubles higher than everywhere else. It’s not significant, we bought everything on the spot, but if you need to save money, take it with you.
And most importantly, get ready for the fact that toys, sweets, and entertainment for children are absolutely everywhere here. Overall, it was a good holiday and the impressions were pleasant. We won’t go again - in my opinion, this is a one-time resort. We looked at everything, studied it, went everywhere. The children returned home happy, and this is the most important thing.
