    Balneology: healing springs in Dzhemet

Dzhemete is famous for its mud springs and mineral waters, which have healing properties.

    Chembur Lake

    • Coordinates on the map: 44.934724, 37.327822.

Chembur Lake is called the pearl of the Anapa region. It is located south of Upper Dzhemete.

There are many legends associated with the lake. The most impressive of them tells that centuries ago a war broke out on the shores of the lake. The enemy army killed hundreds of Kuban residents, drowning them in a swampy lake. The enemies threw a feast in honor of the victory, poured wine, called dancers...

And suddenly one of the Kuban residents rose from the swamp. His enemies wounded him, but did not kill him. The healing mud of Lake Chembur healed injuries and endowed the soldier with unprecedented strength. On his shoulders he carried his comrades out of the swamp, covered them with mud, and they also perked up. The revived army rushed to the attack and defeated the enemies.

Although in real life the mud of Chembur Lake is not endowed with the power to resurrect the dead, its healing properties are not in doubt. Highly colloidal silt, rising from the bottom of the lake, has a viscous, plastic consistency. Applied to the skin, it warms the body well and saturates the body with useful microelements. A visit to the lake is recommended for diseases of the digestive system, atherosclerosis, rheumatism and joint diseases.

In addition to its balneological value, Chembur Lake is an ecotourism destination. The shores of the lake are covered with green forests and lush grasses. A walk along eco-trails will provide you with pleasant time spent in the fresh air.

Not far from the lake there are fishing villages. Most often they hunt for rams. The ideal bait for this fish is a black worm that lives in coastal mud.

In addition to mud baths, the sanatorium offers mud massage, mineral showers and salt rooms. Before visiting, you should consult a doctor who will prescribe a course of treatment.

Mineral springs of the sanatorium "Rodnik"

    • Address: Pionersky Prospekt, 30.

The sanatorium got its name due to the fact that on its territory there are several natural springs of mineral water with a unique composition.

The first source is well No. 29. The source originates in the mountains of the Caucasus Range, passes through various rocks, and mixes with rain and melt water from glaciers. All this saturates the source with gases and minerals. The composition of such water is similar to the composition of the waters of the Red Sea.

The second source is well No. 5-bis. The source flows from the Sea of Azov and corresponds to the Matsesta type. The composition includes many trace elements, including bromine, iodine and oxygen. Drinking water from this source is recommended for diseases of the respiratory tract and nervous system.

The third source was created artificially by combining the previous two and was called the “Anapa Spring”. You can try the “branded” mineral water in the pump room built on the territory of the sanatorium. There are no contraindications for taking water from the source. According to doctors, the active composition stimulates brain function, restores the immune system, improves skin condition and promotes weight loss.

Before visiting the springs, you should consult a doctor, since the effects of minerals are individual for each person.

    Cafe "Gulliver"

    • Address: Pionersky Prospekt, 68B.

Cafe "Gulliver" is impossible not to notice. It rises in the middle of the street like a historical fortress. The pavilion is decorated with columns, crenellated arches and flags, and the entrance resembles a grotto.

Passing through the “grotto”, tourists find themselves in a fairy tale. The walls are full of drawings - illustrations from Jonathan Swift's book. The pattern is combined with volumetric elements: brick fortresses and stone piles. In the hall there is a fountain-waterfall and a sculpture of Gulliver himself.

The cafe menu will suit every taste. Dishes of Caucasian, Russian and European cuisine are presented here. The children's menu is as fabulous as the establishment itself. Children will be offered to try the Harry Potter cutlet and Little Red Riding Hood porridge.

When visiting a cafe, tourists often find themselves in the midst of fun. Various shows, animated performances and celebrations are regularly organized here.

    Cafe "Cave"

    • Address: Pionersky Prospekt, 70B.

“Cave” is the most famous cafe in Dzhemet. It won the love of visitors primarily due to its original interior.

Once you enter the hall, you get the impression that you have descended into a real underground cave. Tables line the jagged stone walls, and speleothems—sharp icicles made of minerals—hang from the ceiling. On the stone heaps there are figures of wild animals: cave wolves and bears.

The menu offers dishes of Caucasian and European cuisine, and the local bar will provide a wide selection of alcoholic drinks.

    Where to stay?

None of those vacationing in the village of Dzhemete in Anapa complained about difficulties in choosing a place to stay. The most popular and in demand are guest houses and mini-hotels located between the coast and Pionersky Prospekt.

Three modern sanatoriums and two boarding houses have been built in the village. Many people prefer Anapa and Dzhemete for a seaside holiday. The private sector at these resorts has affordable prices. Judging by the reviews, the best level of service is in mini-hotels with 10-20 rooms. High competition forces owners to value every client.

In the private sector you can rent a room inexpensively. This will save money. The private sector in Dzhemet is not very diverse. And if 10 years ago there were many private houses waiting for tourists here, now there are only a few of them. This is due to the fact that some owners of private households created guest houses, mini-hotels, and those who were especially lucky demolished their tiny houses and built hotels or hotels in their place.

Today in the private sector of Dzhemete you can no longer find “conveniences in the yard.” Guests are now offered a modern toilet and shower located next to the room. Such private houses are usually designed for 3-4 rooms. The price, naturally, is not so low, but quite affordable - 300-500 rubles per person. According to vacationers, the private sector in Dzhemet is the most modern in the Anapa region.

    Magnificent Dzhemetin beaches

The name of the village goes back to the Adyghe word “dysh’mete”, which means “gold placers”. The beaches of Dzhemete are recognizable not only by their golden sand, but also by their unique sand dunes. These paradises will win the hearts of tourists.

This is a stylish, original resort with a well-developed tourist infrastructure. Travelers will not be disappointed with a holiday in this suburb of Anapa.

    Infrastructure

The infrastructure in Vityazevo is quite developed: there are enough shops (grocery and hardware), pharmacies, ATMs, and tour desks. Chain markets like Magnit and Pyaterochka are also present, as are wine shops, where products from Kuban wineries are presented.

In Dzhemet, the infrastructure is simpler, but there are plenty of shops, souvenir shops and outlets with beach accessories. Shopping arcades are concentrated on Pionersky Avenue, and supermarkets, and everything else (pharmacies, bank branches, mobile phone stores, etc.) are within walking distance.

In the shops of Vityazevo and Dzhemete you can buy souvenirs, for example, ceramic crafts, jewelry, wooden figurines, etc., as well as gastronomic gifts - honey, jam, spice sets, etc. For clothes and other goods you will have to go to Anapa, where there are a couple of shopping centers.

For infrastructure, Vityazevo receives 2 points, Dzhemete - 1 point
