Chapel of Paraskeva Pyatnitsa
The chapel is familiar to the older generation of Russians, because it was depicted on ten-ruble bills. In ancient times, the green hipped roof of the shrine was visible from anywhere in Krasnoyarsk. The Chapel of Paraskeva Pyatnitsa has its own history. On the site of the shrine there originally stood a building from the early 19th century, built by a merchant as gratitude for being saved from death while crossing the Yenisei. Yenisei River

The hill with an absolute height of 688 m is a volcano that was extinct many thousands of years ago, which is still designated as active. The hill has another name - Karatag.
On its slopes, a lot of igneous rock was discovered - diorite, which is actively used in construction.
The summit is covered with more than 1000 species of plants (however, a quarter of them are mosses). Also on the extinct volcano there are rare representatives of the flora listed in the Red Book of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and Russia. The slopes are overgrown with low iris, angustifolia lily, winter grass, Sudeten bladder and other rare plants.
The fauna of the Black Hill is also diverse. Red deer, sables, badgers, Altai moles, chipmunks and brown bears walk along its slopes. Numerous birds also nest at the top: black grouse, quail, wood grouse.
Pharmacy kindergarten
The square got its name because of its location near Pharmacy No. 1 on Prospekt Mira. The small open-air botanical garden is open during the warmer months. The area is equipped with tables and chairs, benches and swings, and instead of standard flower beds, medicinal herbs grow here.
Next to the garden there is an old pharmacy with a restored interior. The two-story building stores and sells medicines, and displays ancient medical recipes and medical supplies. All this is laid out on the shelves of antique furniture.
Park Island Tatyshev
The recreational zone is located right in the middle of the Yenisei on a small island and covers an area of 150 hectares. The park is positioned as a “sports” park.

“Gremyachya Iva” was created for relaxation of all family members: there are playgrounds, mother and child rooms. The most famous landmark of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, which immediately comes to mind when mentioning the region, is, of course, the famous Krasnoyarsk Pillars - an amazing creation of nature, consisting of numerous high rocks, shaped like pillars. But besides them, there is something to admire in the Krasnoyarsk Territory - for example, by going to the Ergaki or Bolshoi Arctic nature reserves. In the first, tourists will be greeted by breathtaking mountain landscapes and amazingly beautiful waterfalls, in the second - permafrost in all its splendor - don’t be surprised, the seemingly lifeless Arctic expanses are extremely diverse with different forms of animal and plant life. You can learn more about permafrost in its own museum in the city of Igarka. One of the most mysterious places in Russia, the Tunguska Nature Reserve, is also located in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Triumphal Arch
A great photo can be taken against the backdrop of the magnificent structure built in 2003. The architectural monument was built in honor of the 375th anniversary of the founding of the city. According to legend, in 1628, the Cossacks first landed on the banks of the Yenisei and founded a fort, which later became a metropolis.
However, the Arc de Triomphe, as conceived by the authors, is a memory of the feat of the victorious people in the Great Patriotic War. In appearance, the building looks very solemn and elegant. This effect was achieved thanks to the polished stone that served as the cladding of the arch.
Big Ben Tower
Like London, Krasnoyarsk boasts a Big Ben very similar to the original one. The tower has 4 dials, each 6.5 meters in diameter and weighing one and a half tons. The city authorities began construction back in 1977, but after some time they froze the project for unknown reasons. The tower was remembered again in 2000. The following year, in the fall, construction work was completed. A new attraction has appeared in Krasnoyarsk - the pride of the townspeople and a favorite place for city guests.
Observation deck "Tsar Fish"
In the village of Ovsyanka, Krasnoyarsk region, there is a unique and interesting cultural site - the Tsar Fish observation deck on a steep cliff at an altitude of 300 m above the Yenisei. This site was created in the 70s. XX century as a memory of a local native - writer V.P. Astafiev.

Biryusa Caves is a whole cave complex located near the Biryusa River in the Krasnoyarsk region. It consists of 70 caves with amazingly beautiful sinter formations and complex terrain. The length of the corridors of the largest cave is 5 km, and the depth decrease is 170 m.
Most of the grottoes, passages and manholes were discovered by hunters hunting in these places, and new ones are being excavated by speleologists. Almost every cave, descent or grotto has its own name and a beautiful legend of its discovery. The wooden house is today considered an architectural monument. In addition, the structure is very well preserved, even though it was built in 1911. The architecture of the mansion differs from others by its obvious mixture of European and Russian styles. The rectangular side openings of the walls go well with the lancet windows, and the figured carvings on the decorative elements in the style of Warsaw buildings are in harmony with the figured platbands of Siberian houses. An unusual two-story mansion was built for the curator of the Svyatopolk-Mirsky church. Today, the architectural monument serves as a building for the music school and church administration.
Anashensky pine forest
Anashensky Bor is a unique pine forest with a length of 18 km and an area of 5.85 hectares on the right bank of the Yenisei in the Krasnoyarsk region. This place is classified as a specially protected area as a botanical natural monument, formed in 1987 to preserve a unique forest area.
Even after many years of studying this beautiful and unusual place, experts cannot answer why it stretches from west to east precisely in the direction of the prevailing winds. Another inexplicable point is that mixed forests predominate in the region, and the forest consists of dark coniferous forest with beautiful slender and even pine trees.
Moreover, their root system is of a surface type, not an anchor type, although there are no rock formations under the ground that would impede the growth of tap roots.
Museum of Local Lore
One of the main attractions of the city is the building of the local history museum. The construction is a reconstruction of a temple from the times of Ancient Egypt. The institution was founded in 1889 and boasts a large collection of original antiquities (more than 145 thousand). The exhibition contains personal belongings of the great inhabitants of the region:

The building of the organ hall in Krasnoyarsk has a very rich history. The cultural monument is located on the site of a Catholic church, built in 1911 according to all the canons of the Gothic style. However, the shrine was used for its intended purpose for only nine years. After the revolution, the building constantly changed its purpose.
At some time the building was used as a warehouse, at another - as a radio committee.

The cost of entrance tickets to the literary museum is 100 rubles. for adults and 150 rub. for everyone else. An excursion in a group of 10 people or more costs less: 50 rubles. for pensioners and 70 rubles. for other visitors.
Zoo "Roev Ruchey"
Krasnoyarsk Zoo "Roev Ruchey" is considered one of the largest in the country. The cultural landmark is located on the mountainside. Its territory accommodates about 6,200 representatives of the animal world from all continents.
At the zoo you can visit the penguinarium, aquaterrarium and look at the sharks kept in a spacious aquarium. The Roeva Rucha collection also

Art culture
The museum in honor of the great native of Krasnoyarsk, Russian artist Surikov, was opened in 1957. The first exhibits were collections of works from the Museum of Local Lore.
Today, in separate rooms dedicated to painting of the 18th-19th centuries. you can see the works of Kramskoy, Shishkin, Korovin, Aivazovsky and Repin. Of course, there is a collection of paintings by Surikov, including: “Gurzuf”, “Anfisa”, “Nun”, “Annunciation”. In the graphics rooms there are paintings by Savrasov, Roerich and Benois. Many visitors are delighted by the good works of decorative and applied Western European art.
Pushkin Theater
Drama lovers should definitely visit the A.S. Pushkin Theater. The history of the establishment dates back more than 150 years of fruitful work. The theater troupe moved to the modern building back in 1902. Since then, excellent performances have been staged on stage, attracting full audiences. The repertoire includes both classical works and more modern ones.
The interior of the hall will amaze the viewer who enters for the first time: the walls are decorated with bas-reliefs, and the stalls and balconies are decorated with red velvet. Thanks to incredible acoustics, you can hear the actors speaking even from the gallery.
Monument to Nikolai Rezanov
Almost every person in Russia has at least once heard the line “You will never forget me” from the composition “Juno and Avos”. But almost few people know that the work was written based on the real story of Commander Nikolai Rezanov. The man became famous as the leader of the first Russian “around the world” and a brilliant diplomat. Rezanov did a lot for Alaska to join the Russian Empire. He died in 1807 from a cold.
In 2007, a sum of money was collected from donations from citizens for the installation of a monument to Nikolai Rezanov. A five-meter bronze figure of a man rises on a pedestal. The commander himself is dressed in a uniform, and in front of him there is a floating ball - a fountain on which the famous expedition route is built.
Putorana Plateau
The Putorana Plateau is a large basalt plateau in the Krasnoyarsk region, preserved in its original form. Its widest part reaches 650 km, and its area is 250 thousand km2. This stunningly beautiful place is a unique symbol of Taimyr, the region and Siberia.
The surface of the plateau is lined with many flat-bottomed canyons with steep slopes, reaching heights of several hundred meters in some places. The beautiful severity of Putorana is further emphasized by numerous waterfalls (their number and concentration is considered the largest in Russia and the world), the highest of which reaches 108 m.
Another unique feature of the plateau is the number of lakes and their depth - more than 25 thousand! After Lake Baikal and Lake Teletskoye, these beautiful mountain lakes are considered the deepest (180-420 m), and their total volume of fresh water creates in the Krasnoyarsk region the second largest reservoir in Russia after Lake Baikal.
Memory of A.P. Chekhov
Throughout history, many famous Russians have visited Krasnoyarsk. Among others was Anton Pavlovich Chekhov. He stopped in the city in 1890 while traveling to Sakhalin. The writer liked Krasnoyarsk so much that in “Travel Notes” he later called the city the most beautiful city in Siberia.
In 1995, residents of Krasnoyarsk erected a monument to Chekhov as a sign of gratitude for the high appreciation of their small homeland. You can find the statue on the embankment, a few blocks before the river station.

One day route
On the outskirts of Krasnoyarsk there are three interesting sites at once, the visits of which will be convenient to combine within one day. All attractions are located approximately 3 km from each other. The total length of the excursion route is just over 7 km - it is quite possible to fit within the time frame of a blitz excursion.
Funpark "Bobrovy Log"
The sports and entertainment complex is located in a recreational area, on the border with an equally interesting attraction of the Krasnoyarsk Territory - the Stolby State Nature Reserve.
The all-season park offers active recreation all year round. In winter, it operates as a ski resort with almost 11 km of slopes of all difficulty levels. Guests can rent the necessary equipment. Inexperienced skiers are offered training slopes and instructor services.
In the warm season, in the fun park you can take the chairlift up to the observation deck, which offers a beautiful view of Krasnoyarsk.
In summer, guests can relax at the Mirage beach complex with a large swimming pool, and for extreme sports enthusiasts, there are attractions like the Rodelbahn and the Ziprider roller coaster.
Reserve "Stolby"
The national park is located on the northwestern spurs of the Eastern Sayan mountain system and covers an area of 48 thousand hectares. It received protected area status in 1925 to protect it from deforestation and stone quarrying.
In terms of its landscape, the territory is close to the mid-mountain taiga. 290 species of vertebrates were discovered in Stolby in Krasnoyarsk. The fauna is represented by sable, hazel grouse, chipmunk, roe deer, ground squirrel and many other species.
The park is home to 851 species of trees, grasses, flowers and shrubs—about 150 of them are considered rare. These include nest flower, feather grass, and slippers. About 80% of the reserve is coniferous and deciduous forest. Some plants are listed in the Red Book of Russia: orchis orchis, May palmate root, calypso bulbosa.
Only the recreational area is open to tourists, which occupies about 5% of the total area of the park. Another 6% of the reserve in the Krasnoyarsk Territory is accessible to visitors only with special permission, and the remaining territories are completely closed.
City Park of Flora and Fauna "Roev Ruchey"
The Krasnoyarsk Zoo is one of the largest in Russia and the second in terms of the number of inhabitants after the Moscow one. More than 7,800 animals from Asia, Europe, America, and Africa live on an area of 52 hectares. There are also exotic representatives of the fauna: giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, chimpanzees, oryxes, white lions, tapirs.
The zoo complex includes one of the largest aquaterrariums in Russia with an area of 4000 square meters. m. It is divided into several zones, which are home to turtles, piranhas, reef sharks, poisonous catfish and other types of fish of various sizes.
On the territory there is the only penguinarium beyond the Urals, decorated in the Arctic style. The collection of birds is also huge: ostriches, chukars, peacocks.
