Culture and education

The city pays great attention to education. There are 8 schools in our city, staffed by highly qualified teachers. Naturally, learning is unthinkable without education. Teachers not only teach children, but also strive to include them in a variety of creative activities. In this regard, there are various clubs in schools: sports, literary, environmental, etc. The work of teachers is also supported by city creative associations: Palace of Culture, museum, Ecological, tourist center, Sports Palace, music schools, linguistic school, etc.

Libraries

The library system can be considered a platform for educational activities. In total, there are 5 libraries in Amursk, and 4 of them are part of the “Centralized Library Association (CBO)”, while the fifth is educational and pedagogical. In the center of Amursk there are the “Central District Library” and the “Children’s Library”. In other areas of the city there are library-branch No. 11 and library-branch No. 16. Another 14 branches are located in the Amur region. The central bank is equipped with modern technology (computers, printers, scanners, video equipment and duplicating equipment, purchased with sponsorship funds and income from paid services. The following services are provided:

  • night subscription (delivery of books to your home for a fee)
  • paid subscription (rare publications and books by modern popular authors)
  • video subscription (cassettes - VHS and VCD, DVD)
  • computer services, including selection and printing of information according to the client’s order

Library-branch No. 11 has a music department, where in addition to classical music publications there is a selection of audio cassettes.

It also cannot but rejoice at the fact that, despite the difficult life, the people of the city of Amursk did not turn away from books and maintained a steady interest, which is clearly seen from the data of the report kindly provided by the administration of the Central Library. And if we consider that the population of the city of Amursk has unfortunately decreased in recent years, then we can even state an increase in the demand for books. This is due to the employees of the Central Bank, who work with soul and strive, even with limited capabilities, to keep up with scientific and technological progress.

  • Linguistic school

Young Amur residents have repeatedly proven that even in our small town you can get a decent education. And for this we can thank not only library staff, teachers from schools, but also teachers from the linguistic school.

In the mid-90s, there was a large shortage of foreign language teachers in the city. O. V. Kovbasyuk, then working as an English language teacher at courses at the Central Control Commission, put forward the idea of creating a school with in-depth study of English, which could fill the shortage of teachers in secondary schools. In addition, children who want to learn the language would have the opportunity to acquire knowledge beyond the school curriculum. After all, today it is clear to everyone how important knowledge of a foreign language, especially English, the language of international communication, has acquired in modern conditions. Olga Vladimirovna received understanding from the city education department. Thus, in 1995, an English school was opened, which in 1997 was transformed into a non-governmental non-profit educational institution “Linguistic School”.

The goal of the school is to: create conditions for personal development and self-development of citizens through meeting the needs for additional education in the field of learning foreign languages for their successful adaptation and self-realization in life.

Artistic director of the children's exemplary choreographic studio "Grace" Nina Igorevna Rekova. The team is a winner of various competitions held both in the Amur region and in the Khabarovsk region. Active participant in various creative events held in the city of Amursk. We will be very grateful and grateful to those who will assist in organizing tours during the summer holidays.

The cultural life of the city does not end there. After all, there is a city local history museum, and a lot of different clubs. The sports education of the younger generation does not stand still either. Fashion trends are coming to the city and an Internet cafe has already opened. Amursk is not a big cultural center, but you can find like-minded people there too. This means the city is alive and will live!

  • Transport

Transport of the Amur PATP operates thirty routes. Of these, 11 are urban, 13 are suburban and 6 are intercity. The total length of the routes is 2573 kilometers. Buses run on the Amursk-Komsomolsk and Amursk-Khabarovsk routes. Custom buses are open on the Amursk-Ussuriysk-Grodekovo, Amursk-Nakhodka routes. The company is a stable taxpayer. Every year it pays 12 million rubles to the budget of the city and region. PATP provides jobs for more than 400 people. The company carries out commercial and trading activities, for which it has its own canteen, bars at the bus station, in the Palace of Culture and in the Molodost cinema, a dumpling shop, and a confectionery shop. Annual income is 200 thousand rubles.

    Healthcare

    Amur Hospital

The Amur Hospital also faces a difficult fate. Repeatedly it changed its status to the Amur Central Hospital (ACH), then it was the Central Regional Hospital (ACRB), but now the name has generally become very complex. Now it is the Amur Center for organizing specialized types of medical care. However, with the name change the problems did not decrease. The main problems are the shortage of medical personnel and insufficient provision of modern medical and computer equipment, and the appalling state of salary payments. Now it has become fashionable to scold doctors for their poor work, but maybe you should still thank them, it is very difficult to work in such conditions, but they work. And after work they return home to their families, who also need to be fed sometimes. One can only imagine what it is like to perform therapeutic activities in this situation, taking into account the level of diagnostic equipment.

However, there are also positive aspects. In 2005, 9 doctors left Amursk. In 2004, 16 targeted referrals were issued (14 people were admitted), this year - 11 (all were admitted). So there will be young additions. 3 people arrived in 2005 to work in our hospital. Slowly, but still the hospital is receiving modern equipment. The acquisition of a digital fluorograph turned out to be especially valuable. Now it is possible to carry out mass diagnostics of the population much faster and more efficiently, and given the current level of tuberculosis prevalence, this is a significant plus. So now huge queues in front of the fluorography room are a thing of the past. Computers are also being supplied to clinics, where they have managed to automate the issuance of preferential prescriptions, although one can only dream of creating computer networks that would make life much easier for doctors.

Structurally, there have been no major changes. There are the following departments and services: resuscitation and intensive care unit, emergency department, surgical unit, trauma department, surgical department, infectious diseases department, gynecology department, pediatric department, cardiology department, neurological department, therapeutic department, obstetric department, Rennitgen department, laboratory for diagnosing HIV infection, physiotherapy department, department of functional diagnostics, pathology department, structural units: children's and adult clinics, antenatal clinic

    Ambulance

As for ambulances, the “Ambulance and Emergency Medical Care Station” (MUZ SS NMP) in Amursk has been an independent medical and preventive institution since May 15, 2000. Service area of the MUZ "Ambulance and Emergency Medical Care Station" in Amursk: Amursk, Padali st. Izvestkovy village Malmyzh st. Mylki Art. Ommy s. Voznesenskoye village The work is carried out in shifts, the shift lasts 24 hours. The shift includes: a senior shift doctor, two medical teams, three paramedic teams. And if we analyze the data on the number of calls, we can state the need for this service.

    Sanatorium-preventorium "Rodnik"

The healing effects of climate have been used in medicine for quite some time. Several sanatorium and resort complexes have been built in the Amur region. One of them is located in our city. On the very bank of the Amur, by the hands of Amur residents, the sanatorium-preventorium “Rodnik” was built according to an individual project. People can be treated here for many diseases. Patients have everything they need at their disposal: physiotherapy, inhalation rooms, physical therapy, mud baths, dental office and more. The classrooms are equipped with modern domestic and Japanese equipment. Experienced, polite specialists with kind hearts and skillful hands work here. The chief physician is the respected L.N. Pashko, the senior nurse is N.N. Bylkova. They created such a well-coordinated, sincere medical team. I would also like to mention therapeutic nutrition. Great variety, highly qualified chefs and friendly service. This year there were 34 people on vouchers and 14 people on courses. The vouchers treated mainly elderly people, participants in the Great Patriotic War, labor veterans and simply pensioners.
