Location No. 2 - Pine Corner
Psychologists say that in order to achieve goals you need to be able to be distracted and switch your mind, and for this, going out of town, for example, to Sosnovy Ugol, is perfect. In the forest on the territory of the complex there are camp sites, a dining room and country houses comfortably located. The Tsna River formed several creeks around the location, the largest one being about one kilometer long. You can take a boat and take a short trip, admire the water lilies, and then go for a walk through the sunflower fields. The name “Pine Corner” speaks for itself, the air smells simply dizzying, and the nature around seems to have stepped out of the pages of Russian folk tales. Bring a picnic blanket, sandwiches and drinks with you, then the trip out of town will seem even more enjoyable. By the way, you can come here either for one day for the sake of beautiful photographs and pleasant emotions, or for several days by renting a house at a camp site. For extreme sports enthusiasts, there is a mini amusement park nearby. No, this is not a carousel and cotton candy, but an obstacle course in the forest. If you like this kind of entertainment, then you can try to take interesting pictures while passing obstacles.
Maria Morskova, photographer:
Pine Corner is an incredibly picturesque place. The aroma of pine branches is a super bonus for beautiful photographs. This is a very cool place for family picnics and individual photography.

City of Michurinsk
This is a small provincial town with a population of about 100 thousand people. The guidebook will probably tell you that it was in this city that Ivan Michurin, the famous breeder, lived and worked. It should also be noted that the city has been awarded the status of a science city, so even with such a relatively small population, there are five universities operating here. Moreover, most scientific developments relate to the agricultural sector. Tourists should visit this science city in the summer, since such delicious cherries and apples cannot be found anywhere else in Russia - and the fruits are grown without chemicals, exclusively using advanced technologies.
Among the interesting objects, it is worth noting the Michurin house-museum, in which the personal belongings and instruments of the great scientist are preserved. The house has a nursery garden in which the breeder conducted his experiments.
There are also beautiful churches in Michurinsk. For example:
- Elias Church, built in the late Baroque style;
- Bogolyubsky Cathedral, which architecturally is a continuation of the Moscow Cathedral of Christ the Savior.
Location No. 4 - Tulinovka
According to local historians, back in the fourth millennium BC, the first sites of primitive people appeared on the territory of the present village and in its environs, as evidenced by data from archaeological excavations. Tulinovka stands on the Moshlyayka River and is considered one of the protected places in the Tambov region. The name of this settlement was given by the merchant Yakov Vasilyevich Tulinov, who built a small cloth factory on the river in the middle of the 18th century. Now in Tulinovka there are many picturesque places for photos, it’s not for nothing that many newlyweds from Tambov come to sign their names at the local registry office and film their photo sessions here.
Maria Morskova, photographer:

Inzhavino village
When planning to explore the sights of the Tambov region and interesting places, you should pay attention to Inzhavino. This is an urban-type settlement (however, until 1960 it was a village), which is the center of the district of the same name. Inzhavino, however, has a fairly ancient history. It was founded in 1705. Some researchers believe that its name comes from the Rzhavka (or Rzhavino) river.
A more romantic version says that the village was founded by the governor Inzha, who led the archers who defended this region, and supposedly under him, the first huts were erected here, from which the settlement began. Interestingly, the village even has its own coat of arms - a bald mountain with three oak trees located below.
The main attractions of the village itself are the beautiful Archangel Church, as well as the building of the women's gymnasium. But on the territory of the Inzhavinsky district there are many interesting places. Therefore, from the very beginning you will have to stock up on a map in order to explore them all, or at least the main ones - the Voroninsky Nature Reserve, the Chicherin estate in the village of Karaul, the beautiful churches in the villages of Kurdyuki, Olkhovka and Morshan-Lyadovka.
Location No. 5 – Amaks Park Hotel
“Amax” is located in a suburban forest not far from the city center, you can get there by bicycle, and if you’re in the mood, you can even walk. This place is considered one of the most environmentally friendly in the region, and the territory itself is a resort area. That is why there are several children's camps, sanatoriums and a gerontological center nearby. Here you can relax, take a break from the bustle of the city and spend the whole day in nature. By the way, the beach near Amaks is official, so it’s safe to swim there.

Estate of V. G. Aseev
The estate house of V. G. Aseev is a significant and beautiful building in the Tambov region, the beginning of the 20th century. The building is a striking example of early modernism and late eclecticism. The exterior decoration of the estate is characterized by a variety of beautiful details: semicircular Renaissance window openings and stylized capitals, decorated with small columns, openwork parapet gratings, which are separated by richly decorated flowerpots, a significant space of the roof was occupied by a light lantern made of crystal 6-sided cells.
The walls inside the mansion are decorated with highly artistic ceiling and wall paintings, the floor is covered with mosaic tiles, there is built-in carved furniture, fireplaces, and a grand staircase made from a white temple.
Today, outbuildings (stables, water tower, cowshed), a fence and a beautiful old park have been preserved.
And, as a summary, a few more tips on shooting from Maria:
- Choose a stylish look for a photo shoot. The main thing is that the clothes look great on you. Complete your look with accessories – glasses and a hat are a great addition to your main wardrobe.
- Shoot more different poses! Standing, sitting, lying down. You can find beautiful poses for photo shoots on the Internet in advance.
- The shooting point is an important point. To make the legs longer, remove them from below. Ideally, all portraits should be taken from above.
- The mood in the frame is a must for great photos. Change your emotions!
Seize the moment, live vivid impressions and, of course, do not forget to post the best pictures on Instagram and other social networks while traveling.
Moreover, with Tele2 you are guaranteed to have excellent communication and high-speed Internet throughout the region, just like your friends who stayed at home in Tambov for the weekend. Photo: Maria Morskova
Where to go first in Tambov
The list of city attractions is very extensive. It is simply impossible to visit them all in one day. Therefore, we advise you to first go to those places that convey the atmosphere and history of Tambov.
Aseev Estate
This is a stunningly beautiful white palace from the early 20th century. Aseev is an honorary citizen and philanthropist of Tambov. The building combines Baroque, classicism and modernist styles. After the death of the owners, this architectural monument was in a depressing state for a long time. Restoration work began only in 2009. We repaired facades and roofs, strengthened the foundation, and improved the interior decoration of the building. After renovation, the palace was given to the museum.
Inside the house you can see stucco, marble staircases, stunning painted lampshades and wood patterns. Next to the palace there is another cultural monument - a huge oak tree, which is 217 years old.
Museum and Exhibition Center
The center was created in 2010. The building in which the museum is located is also a cultural monument. The main exhibition of the museum is called “For the Glory of the Motherland.” It tells about the front-line activities of the Tambov region and assistance to the army. The exhibition consists of thousands of exhibits, including military awards, various relics, paintings and sculptures of that time.
House-Museum of G. V. Chicherin
It was opened in 1987. G. V. Chicherin, People's Commissar for Foreign Affairs of the RSFSR, was also an excellent musician, historian and publicist. The furnishings of the house today have been restored exactly as they were during Chicherin’s life and fully convey the atmosphere of that time. The museum preserves Chicherin's books, his personal belongings, letters and furniture. Scientists and scientific specialists take part in various thematic excursions on the territory of the house-museum.
Holy Transfiguration Cathedral
The cathedral is the heart of Tambov. This is the most ancient temple of the Tambov land. Its construction was completed in 1783. The temple was erected thanks to donations from Tambov merchant Matvey Borodin. The beautiful bell tower, 42.5 meters high, appeared much later. The temple was closed and rebuilt more than once. But it survived all the difficulties, and today it delights residents and guests of the city with its beauty.
Museum of the History of Medicine
The museum has existed since 1978. Its exhibition is presented in seven halls; it tells about the medical history of the Tambov region, from the 17th century to the present day. The museum is very interesting, its format is somewhat different from others. The exhibits here are selected very carefully, taking into account the “needs” of society.
Wolf Museum
Since 2000, the Wolf Museum has been successfully operating in Tambov. The presence of such a museum center is symbolic, because Tambov is considered the birthplace of the “Tambov wolf”. The exhibition allows you to get to know the animal more and understand its qualities.
Visitors can see the following exhibits:
- Drawings.
- Toys from different countries of the world.
- Cartoon frames.
- Photos.

Ascension Convent
The history of the monastery began in 1690. Its initial formation took place in poverty, so construction activities took hundreds of years. Unfortunately, the history of the monastery includes fires, during which valuable relics were destroyed.
The end of the 19th century is the beginning of prosperity. However, in 1918, due to the Bolsheviks, the destruction of the religious site began. After seven difficult years, the monastery was closed.
The revival began in the late 1980s. Nowadays, a cell building is being built, but the monastery already looks beautiful. A cast iron patterned fence is used as a fence. There are flower beds on the territory.
The monastery surprises with the presence of the following institutions:
- Library.
- Shop for souvenirs and church goods.
- Bakery.
- Cozy cafe.
- Sunday school for children and adults.
The monastery is developing successfully. Perhaps the 21st century will be a period of prosperity.
Location: Moskovskaya street - 37.
Chapel of St. Luke
The small chapel is located on the territory of the city hospital in Tambov, where St. Luke worked. The religious landmark was founded in 1998. The construction was carried out thanks to the hospital doctors and patrons of the arts. Despite its small size and implementation of the classical style, the chapel is important for many patients and their loved ones.
Location: Gogol street.
The most beautiful places in Tambov
The city is rich in monuments, memorials and sculptures. They are located in the most picturesque places of the city. It’s worth taking time to look at them and admire their beauty. Let's talk about some.
Tambov Arbat
This is what residents call Kommunalnaya Street. There are many cute shops and cozy cafes here. Almost all the houses on it have retained their appearance from the beginning of the 20th century. The most beautiful building is the city administration.
Monument to S. V. Rachmaninov
Not far from the Tsna River canal there is a monument to the great Russian composer, pianist and conductor Rachmaninov. It was installed in 2006. The figure is made in full height, the right hand is attached to the heart.
Memorial "Eternal Flame"
The complex is located on Cathedral Square. It was erected in 1970 within three months. From here there is a pedestrian path leading directly to the Cathedral.
Monument to the Tambov peasant
This is the most interesting and significant monument in Tambov. It is located next to the Tsna River embankment. The composition is three meters high. The sculpture was unveiled in 2007, originally made of concrete, it was reborn in bronze in 2008. The monument is still presented in this form today.
Church of the Exaltation of the Cross
A very unusual building, not only for Tambov residents, but for all of Russia. It was erected in 1898, but then was dismantled and reconstructed more than once. The church acquired its final appearance in 1995, and Catholic services were resumed there.
Monument to Peter and Fevronia
The sculpture is located on the Tambov embankment, near the Lovers' Bridge. It was installed in 2012. The monument is dedicated to the holiday of family, love and fidelity, since Saints Peter and Fevronia are the patrons of family happiness.
Bell tower of the Kazan Mother of God Monastery
The bell tower of the Kazan Mother of God Monastery is recognized as the highest in the Central Federal District. At the same time, the bell tower ranks second in height in Russia. The first position went to the spire of the Peter and Paul Cathedral, which operates in St. Petersburg.
The height of the bell tower is 107 meters . However, the documents indicate a different figure - 96.6 meters . This difference is explained by the following factor: design documentation for objects with a height of more than one hundred meters is considered only in Moscow. To resolve the issue, I had to document a different number.
The bell tower adorned the city for many centuries. During the bombing in 1943, the facility was completely destroyed. Restoration work was carried out in 1993 – 2003. Now the bell tower of the Kazan Mother of God Monastery once again delights with its splendor.
Location: Maxim Gorky street - 3.
