  1. The Adriatic Sea (Adriatic) is the sea between the Apennine and Balkan peninsulas, part of the Mediterranean Sea.
  2. The Sea of Azov is the sea north of the Black Sea, connected to it by the Kerch Strait.
  3. The Aral Sea (actually a lake) is a large freshwater basin in western Central Asia. Collected on the way to irrigate fields, the water of two great rivers (Amu Darya and Syr Darya) barely reaches the Aral Sea (“Aral” means “island” in Turkic), the largest salt lake in the world after the Caspian, located surrounded by deserts. For the sea, the depth of the Aral Sea is not great - on average 10-15 m. There are many islands and shallows. Enormous evaporation with an insignificant amount of precipitation (no more than 100 mm per year) causes a constant loss of large masses of water. Over the course of a year, it evaporates 12 times more than what comes with rain. As a result, the lake becomes shallow, its shores recede, exposing the bottom, covered with a thick layer of salt. In 1989, the lake split into two isolated bodies of water - the Northern (Small) and Southern (Big) Aral Sea. As of 2003, the surface area of the Aral Sea is about 1/4 of the original, and the volume of water is about 10 percent.
