A lovely natural attraction on the shore of Arkhipo-Osipovka is Mount Hedgehog. Outwardly, it resembles this forest animal - cream-colored rocks form its muzzle, and the dense forest serves as needles.
The peak is located on the Black Sea coast in Vulan Bay, named after the river that flows here.
The height of Mount Hedgehog in Arkhipo-Osipovka is only 245 m in the central part.
From the east it is limited by the beach, on the other side of which there is another ridge - the Camel. It does not look very much like the animal it is named after, so it is not so popular among tourists. The Teshebs River flows through the mountain from the north and west. Its length is about 13 km. At the foot it flows into the sea. On the eastern part of the mountain there is the Derkachev Gap.

Description and geography of the hill
Every settlement has a symbol with which residents and visitors associate it. As a rule, it is the most striking, memorable object that remains unchanged every year. At the resort Arkhipo-Osipovka, located near Gelendzhik, this is definitely Mount Hedgehog, although there are many interesting sights and spectacular locations here. Indeed, it is difficult not to notice: it has been protecting the village for thousands of years, towering at one of the edges of the mini-bay.
It is not difficult to guess that the mountain received its name because of its characteristic appearance: in the outlines of the pointed tip of the hill that goes into the Black Sea, you can easily guess the face of a cute forest animal. The main part of it is covered with dense forests and greenery - needles that fade away as they approach the water - bare, layered cream-colored rocks are visible here.
The hedgehog is by no means large - only 245 m. This point of maximum height is recorded in the central part of the massif. The mountain borders the Arkhipo-Osipovka beach (Vulan Bay) on the eastern side, and on the opposite side rises another ridge - the Camel. It is not so popular due to the fact that it does not look much like the beast that gave it its name. In the western and northern sections of Hedgehog flows the Teshebs River (length - 13 km), which flows into the sea right at its foot. From the east the Derkachev Gap winds its way.
In the reviews, travelers note that observing the mountain from the outside is, of course, great, but it’s still more interesting to climb it and admire the resort and the endless expanse of the sea from a bird’s eye view. Indeed, from the observation decks of Hedgehog a magnificent panorama of the coast opens up: here you can spend a lot of time exploring the area and taking vivid pictures.
Central beach in Dzhubga photo
The central beach of the village has a developed infrastructure and is always full of people. The water has attractions to entertain tourists: banana, frog, tablet, water slides and other attractions that are so loved.
You can rent a sun umbrella, sun loungers of various types, there are places under a canopy, toilets and changing rooms. The entrance to the sea is gentle, there is sand at the bottom, the shore of the beach itself is strewn with small pebbles.
The depth of the sea appears gradually, so it is convenient to swim with children. The water is shallow up to 25-50 meters from the shore. But you still need to look after your kids. There are always a lot of tourists on Central Beach.
If you want to relax in relative silence, then it is better to come to sunbathe early in the morning or after lunch. Life on the beach never stops for a second. During the day they actively spend time under the rays of the sun, and at night there are enchanting shows.
A foam party on the beach is not the only thing you can see here. There are restaurants and cafes with a varied menu and price range. After an active day, you can skip cooking dinner and eat in a cafe or restaurant.
On average, dinner for two will cost around 1000 rubles. This includes a main dish, salad, wine and bread. You can choose whatever your soul wants. In the evenings you can see fire shows on the beach; they are free and developed by the informal people of the village.
It is very interesting to watch such an action, and you will remember it for a long time. During the day you can take a boat ride, go sea fishing or go on an excursion. We'll talk about these recreational opportunities later. In general, the Central Beach of the village offers all opportunities for recreation and takes first place in the ranking of Dzhubga beaches.
Beach for nudists in Dzhubga (on Mount Yozhik)
Just a kilometer from the Central Beach there is an undeveloped recreation area. Here the sea is full of stones and boulders, so it’s hard to imagine what’s going on on the seabed. The beach cover consists of large pebbles.
There is no infrastructure. But there is beautiful nature, sun, silence and warm sea. This place was chosen by lovers of camping with tents and nudists. It’s wonderful to relax away from civilization, practically without leaving its borders.
From here you can clearly see Mount Hedgehog, you can take interesting photos and just take a break from everyday affairs. If you look closely, the mountain really resembles a Hedgehog who came to the sea to drink water. Children will be delighted with this discovery, but it is better not to go to the wild beach with them.
Blue Bay beach in Dzhubga photo
A picturesque corner where you can sunbathe and admire the beautiful nature. The beach is covered with small pebbles, shade is provided by trees that grow nearby, and the entrance to the sea is convenient. There is no infrastructure on the beach, so there are few people who want to relax here.
Inal Bay in Dzhubga photo
It would be hard to call this place just a beach, but there are opportunities for relaxation in the sun. On one side of the coast there are huge boulders and stones, and on the other side there are small pebbles.
The territory is covered with natural forest; there is plenty of shelter from the sun. The coast is divided among almost 100 recreation centers and sanatoriums. Not surprising, because the place is convenient and stretches for many kilometers.
The Krasnodar region is a tasty morsel of the tourism business. You can relax here either actively and intensely, or calmly and measuredly. When you get tired of lying on the beach, you can go on an excursion or visit a number of establishments that are on the territory.
Interesting places and excursions
The village of Dzhubga and its surroundings offer guests natural attractions and exciting adventures. Do you prefer active recreation and are eager to see new places? Choose excursions that may be of interest to you and have fun.
Ashe River Valley photo
It is convenient to see this attraction as part of a tour. If only because there are bonuses and an interesting program prepared for guests. You are taken by bus to the village of Kalesh.
This is one of the Adyghe villages where traditions have been preserved. Upon arrival, you will taste national wine and mountain honey. Then off-road vehicles arrive and you head to the Brides Falls and Shapsugsky Falls.
In addition to them, you will see a lot of attractions, you will be able to see forests and valleys, and take many beautiful photographs. Then you come back to the village, where dinner is already waiting. Dishes of Adyghe and Caucasian cuisine and a dance program are prepared for guests of the village. Both professional dancers will dance for you, and you yourself will be able to take part in this program.
Overall, the excursion is worth the money and is very full of good emotions.
Guam Gorge photo
An excursion here is available as part of a tourist group. Any travel agency will provide you with a place in the group. It is dangerous to wander through the gorge on your own without understanding its structure.
In some places the rocks rise up to 400 meters above the ground line, hanging over the paths and over the river. The rocks are overgrown with trees, flowers and grass. It’s very beautiful here, you can take dozens of unique shots.
Virtually untouched nature, absence of the noise of civilization and inaccessible rocks. In the gorge you can hear the singing of dozens of birds, see small animals or interesting insects.
To do this, it is enough not to make noise and be observant. Near resorts and bases, wildlife disappears, its voice is drowned out by the roar of attractions, cars, music and the noise of the vacationing guests themselves.
But the Guam Gorge is interesting not only for its beauty. The fact is that there were battles here during the Second World War.
There is still a memorial plaque that reminds everyone of the feat that a group of partisans did in 1942. A detachment led by Stakanov blew up a bridge near a dry beam. As a result of this, the passage into the Krasnodar region was closed, and 50 fascists were destroyed.
In these places, the Adygeans also distinguished themselves, who in 1717 were able to repel the attack of Turkish troops on their lands. An excursion to the Guam Gorge gives you a choice: listen to historical details or admire nature. In any case, the trip will be pleasant and educational.
Dolmen in Dzhubga photo
A lot is known about dolmens, although the secret of these structures has not yet been revealed. Some scientists say that this is a place for meditation and restoration of energy, others claim that dolmens are a place of funerals and the kingdom of death.
There is one of these on the territory of the former Central Union in Dzhubga. It attracts crowds of tourists. Someone throws coins inside it in the hope of fulfilling their wishes.
Some people pray to it and believe that it is impossible to take pictures with such objects. Particularly impressionable guests of the attraction reported headaches, attacks of fear and panic after visiting the dolmen.
At the same moment, other guests said that the dolmen is a holy energetic place that gives strength and the opportunity to fulfill their dreams. There is no exact proof or refutation of at least one of the versions.
There is also no documentation that would confirm the authenticity of the dolmen. Skeptics gloat that the structure was built by the Dzhubga administration itself to attract tourists and earn additional income.
Whether this is actually true, no one knows. The real dolmens date back to the 3rd century BC. In any case, an excursion to this place will be useful for broadening your horizons.
Quad bike rides in Dzhubga
In the village you can rent an ATV and go on a tour of the surrounding area. There is an opportunity to go to interesting places as part of a team with an instructor.
If you don’t really want to travel far, walks are available not far from the base. The cost of equipment rental is around 1,300 rubles for two people.
Inal Bay photo
Every day you can go straight from Dzhubga to Inal Bay. Not only are there many small beaches, but there is also a source of blue clay. The bay area has everything you need to have fun, take a mud bath and have a good time.
You can get to the bay area on your own using public transport. But it’s much more interesting to go by sea on a boat. You will see beautiful landscapes of land from the water, the open surface of the sea.
If you're lucky, you can see dolphins in the open sea. Overall, the trip to the bay will be interesting and you will have a good time.
33 waterfalls in Dzhubga photo
The waterfalls are located in the valleys belonging to Mount Shahe. It starts somewhere in the village of Golovinka, and then runs off into the mountains. Naturally, you won’t be able to see all 33 waterfalls that are on the territory.
Only 17 waterfalls are available for close acquaintance; the rest are either in hard-to-reach places or dangerous to human life. In addition to waterfalls, excursion guests will be able to see and try a lot of interesting things.
All the way, the guide will tell interesting details from the formation of the nearest villages, mainly this will concern Golovinka and Lazarevskoye. One of the stops will be in the village of Akhintam, where you will see incredible tea plantations.
You can try tea that you grow yourself, Caucasian honey and Adyghe cuisine. Continuation of the route and the next stop will be in the village of Kichmay.
Here guests are offered various types of homemade wine, national cuisine, cheese and much more. It is from this village that you will go to the Shahe valley to see the waterfalls. They are located in the Dzhegosh tract and many waterfalls have wooden stairs.
It is very interesting to go up and see what the waterfall looks like up close. Later, you will be allowed to swim in the natural bowls that are formed by the waterfalls. After a busy excursion, you will be fed lunch in one of the nearby cafes and sent home.
Lunch is paid, so you can choose any dishes that suit your taste and wallet. An excursion to 33 waterfalls causes a storm of delight and will appeal to anyone who loves vibrant adventures.
What else can you do in Dzhubga
In addition to the listed excursions, you can rent a jeep and drive around the surrounding area, go to observation decks and places where it is quite difficult to walk.
It's fun to drive a car over bumps. Especially when you know that complete safety is ensured, and an experienced driver is behind the wheel. In addition, you can go sea fishing. Fish are caught from the shore or from the open sea.
Guests of the village are offered horseback riding, ATV tours, hiking in the mountains and much more. Your holiday in the village of Dzhubga will be bright, eventful and full of positive emotions if you decide how you want to spend it before you arrive in the village.
Interesting places in Dzhubga
Colonel Falls
The waterfalls are located in the bed of a stream called Polkovnichiy, near the village of Gorskoye. Tourists who decide to visit these waterfalls will enjoy a long walk of 10 kilometers. The largest waterfall is 18 meters high. There are also several cascades nearby. Waterfalls were especially popular in the 60s and 70s. It was at that time that the workers of the automobile tourist base called “Zarya” laid out a route there. Tourists can travel the entire route on foot or in off-road vehicles.
Here tourists can admire the beauty of nature, as well as mountains and rocks. Among other things, visitors to the waterfalls can walk through the ancient gorges and learn their history.
Tourist complex Eagle Rock
In the village of Dzhubga there are tourist excursions that both adults and children can visit. Tourists go on all-terrain vehicles to Polyana Charm, where they can take part in the tasting of Adyghe cheese, honey and local wines. After this, tourists go to Eagle Rock, where visitors will enjoy an interesting demonstration performance by the instructor.
After visiting Eagle Rock, tourists return to the clearing, where a feast is organized for their arrival, which includes real Caucasian kebab, lavash, various national sauces, and wine. Artists will entertain people. There is also a children's playground, water slides and sports games. Adults can take medicinal baths and ride horses.
A few hours later, the bus leaves for Circassian burials and dolmens, and the end of the excursion is again in the clearing, where tourists will enjoy fish soup and national Caucasian dances.
Water park in the village of Dzhubga
The water park in Dzhubga is the very first water park to appear in the Tuapse region. It is located in the center of the village. It occupies an area of 2.6 hectares. Up to two thousand people can be in the water park at the same time.
Both children and adults will like it here. Over the two years of its existence, it has fallen in love with both local residents and tourists. There is a wave pool and slides of varying heights and steepness. In addition, there are fountains and cafes where you can have a snack.
Dolmens
In Dzhugba there is one of the largest tiled dolmens located in the Caucasus. This attraction is located on the territory of the former Tsentrosoyuz sanatorium, just a kilometer from the sea. Due to the monument's impressive size, it makes a strong impression on visitors. According to historians, dolmens were erected here in the third millennium BC. The monument itself is a large tiled megalith.
Boat trip to Inal Bay
One of the most interesting attractions in Dzhubga is a boat excursion to Inal Bay. From the central pier of the village, a boat departs twice a day for an excursion to the source of Blue Mud to Inal Bay. During the walk, the guide will tell you interesting facts about the Black Sea coast.
Right in the middle of the bay there is a small lake with healing clay that was mixed with spring water. Blue clay baths have a rejuvenating effect. Clay also has a good effect on blood circulation and cleanses the skin.
You can get there by bus from Dzhubga. Access to the lake with healing baths is absolutely free. Mud pushes a person's body to the surface, so it is impossible to drown in it. Very often local residents come to teach small children to swim. After mud treatments, vacationers can go down to the beach and wash off the mud into the sea.
Mountain walk in Arkhipo-Osipovka
The most striking photos of Mount Hedgehog can be taken from the Central Beach. From this angle, it appears in all its glory: here is the sharp rock face, and here are the needle trees. Every self-respecting holiday-goer brings pictures of her from vacation: a symbol, a feature of Arkhipo-Osipovka after all.
Some tourists prefer to admire the ridge from below and do it in vain. The route leading to the top of the Hedgehog is quite simple; even a child or an elderly vacationer can handle it. You just need to choose the right shoes: they should be comfortable, sporty, and non-slip. Often those who go hiking in sandals or beach flip-flops return back without reaching the overlook: although the road does not contain any dangers, it still goes up steeply, and it will be quite difficult to pass it in light sandals, and it is also unsafe.
Hedgehog observation points are located at an altitude of 45 and 67 m. Both are freely accessible, but most often travelers climb to the second, and this is understandable - the view there is much more extensive. Getting to the 245 m mark is also easy, but there is absolutely nothing to do there: there is a dense forest and bushes growing all around, and you simply cannot see any beauty from there.
How to climb the mountain? Very simple. Along the embankment you need to move to the left (if you look at the sea), towards Hedgehog. You need to go all the way until the road leads to the Teshebs River. You can cross the stream via the bridge that is located a little to the left or directly along the seashore - in the hot summer you can jump over it. The climb begins immediately after, near a building with a blue roof, although the path is very easy to spot even without a landmark. Next, you should stick to the well-trodden path, which leads at the end to observation platforms. The path goes along a small rocky gutter. It is important to be careful: the trail is quite steep.
Those who reach the top will be treated to a stunning panorama of Arkhipo-Osipovka, the harbor and the picturesque blue expanse of the Black Sea. During the peak tourist season, tourists will notice how many vacationers there are: the lookout hangs right next to the beach, completely packed with people. Looking in the other direction, you can see dozens of residential buildings, cottages, hotels, behind which you can see forested mountain slopes shrouded in haze.
In total, they usually spend about an hour on the mountain. There is no need to rush down: after the photographs have been taken and the overview has been studied far and wide, you just need to walk through the dense Caucasian forest, cool off in the shade of the trees and breathe in the air. However, as reviews say, the garbage left by vacationers after picnics can spoil the impression.
What to do in Dzhubga in June?
Naturally, everyone goes to the sea for “sea and sun.” Beaches in Dzhubga
wide sandy and sandy-pebble.
You can diversify your beach holiday with excursions and walks in the surrounding area. And the surrounding area is very picturesque, because the village is surrounded by huge forests and mountains, and the rivers Dzhubga, Kozlenkova Gap and Azarenskaya Gap flow through the village itself.
On a pleasant afternoon you can take a walk to Snake Gorge
. We can say that this place is a kind of gathering place for creative, informal people, bards, hitchhikers. Here, since the end of May, a tent city has been set up where all these comrades live, and in the evenings it can be very interesting and fun. By the way, it’s clear why this gorge was called the snake gorge, but you won’t find snakes here.
If you plan to live in tents, and you have children with you, then I don’t recommend choosing Snake Gorge - it’s not suitable for children.
But as an excursion site, Snake Gorge is quite suitable. You can also go to Cape Shapsukho
, located 2 km southeast. It looks like a piece of land that cuts into a river (of the same name). This cape is located at an altitude of 677 meters - one might say it is a mountain peak.
It is located between the Rattled Gap and the river.
The river valley was the original place of residence of the Circassian Shapsug tribe - that’s why both the river and the cape were named so. The nature on this cape is extremely picturesque - you need to see it with your own eyes! , the Dzhubga water park begins operating in the village.
. This water park seems to be the largest in the Tuapse region. I won’t tell you what kind of slides there are - the story will be too long. But the water park is very decent. The water park is located on Novorossiysk Highway, building 10-A. In the evenings, already in June, foam parties begin to be held here - naturally, entertainment for adults.
You can also go to the museum “Wonders of the Forest”
, which is on Chernomorskaya street. The museum is located in the same place where the famous local woodcarver Anton Mikhailovich Gzhelak lived and worked. The museum is easy to spot: right in front of the house there is a wooden sculpture of an eight-meter dinosaur. The museum has two exhibitions: the first is the master’s personal belongings, and the second is his work, which includes about 1,500 of a wide variety of wooden figurines.
You can go to the expanses of the Tenginsky pass
. From the center of Dzhubga to this pass is no more than 20 minutes drive. Even the locals don’t really know the many mysterious roads in these beautiful places – but it’s definitely worth visiting.
Behind the village of Tenginka, plateaus begin, which used to be fields on which Cossack soldiers, who settled on these lands after the Caucasian War, sowed rye. Now wild apple and pear orchards still grow on flat ground - wonderful memories of the first settlers. Today, at the foot of the pass, screeching groups of vacationers sometimes ride in UAZs. The pass itself consists of huge massifs of sandstone - these are stones that were brought here by a glacier that slid down from the Ural Mountains during the great glaciation. There is a place to rest near the rocks, there are trash cans and even logs to make a fire. Somewhere in the valley there is an amazing apiary with beekeepers who will tell you about the history of the area something that cannot be read in any book. In general, the nature there is simply incredible, no people, no garbage, although the roads are not always convenient - but it’s worth it!
If crawling through the mountains and exploring untrodden paths is a little lazy for you, and you prefer “ready-made adventures,” then contact a tour agency. There you will be offered excellent excursions around the Tuapse region and not only
:
a trip by boat to the Blue Bay (this is also in the Dzhubga area), mud baths made of blue clay in Inal Bay, Heliot Falls with caves, sightseeing tours of neighboring cities (for example, to Gelendzhik with wine tasting, to Novorossiysk, Tuapse, Sochi and etc.), a trip to Lake Abrau with a visit to the wines, a trip to the Pshada dolmens, the Gebeus waterfalls and the Three Sisters waterfalls, a jeep trip to the Lago-Naki plateau, a trip to the village of Loo (this is a village near Sochi) with a visit to the Byzantine temple , to the valley of the Ashe River with a visit to waterfalls and caves, as well as horseback riding and trips to water parks
. But, as for me, you can do all these tours on your own and without any guides - by car (and sometimes by bicycle) or on regular buses.
Hotels
The first Dzhubga holiday home was opened back in 1935, at the same time a park area was equipped for vacationers; it is still a decoration of the village; both locals and guests love to spend time here. The year 1966 was marked by the assignment of the status of a resort village to Dzhubga.

History of the village
When talking about interesting places in Russia, one cannot fail to mention the village of Dzhubga. Sights, excursions and trips around this city are in one way or another connected with its history.
And the very name of the settlement comes from antiquity; translated from the Adyghe language it means “valley of the winds.” Although there are other translations: “flat place”, “place where the fog spreads” and even “night beauty”.
The village of Dzhubga was founded at the mouth of the river in 1864, after the eviction of the indigenous inhabitants - the Shapsugs. The village was the headquarters of the Shapsug coastal battalion.
Initially, about 360 people (65 families) lived here. Nowadays the Stanichka microdistrict is located in these places. After the liquidation of the battalion in 1870, the settlement was renamed the village of Dzhubga, which later became a village.
By 1905, the village consisted of 74 households of Russian peasants. The main impetus for the development of the village was the construction of a port by the Crimean-Caucasian Shipping Company. Customs, post office, telegraph and visiting summer residents appeared in the settlement.
In 1935, a holiday home was opened in Dzhubga. At the same time, a park was founded, which adorns the village to this day. And in 1966, the settlement was given the status of a resort village.
The coast of Dzhubga is located between Cape Shapsho and the town of Hedgehog, which, according to the plan, actually looks like a prickly animal.
Inal Bay itself received its name in honor of the first Christian preacher who appeared on the Black Sea coast in the 5th century. Little is known about his fate.
Bigius waterfalls
These waterfalls were given 2 more names: Gebius and Tesheb. Nature placed the waterfalls near the villages of Bzhid and Teshebs, a 40-minute walk. Here begins the subtropical zone, which is characterized by lush vegetation and natural jungle. Cascades of water reach a height of 15 m.
The route for tourists follows a path with stairs on the mountain slopes and bridges at river crossing points. Along the way there will be a gazebo for relaxation, cafes and kebab shops.
Tour guides call this area the Mill Gap, which contains deposits of blue clay in the bed of a mountain stream. Tourists will not pass by a spring with water from a spring, but in the ponds they encounter they will go fishing with unpredictable prospects. Mount Hebius will provide viewing platforms for panoramic views.
How to climb Mount Hedgehog
Finding the path on Mount Hedgehog is not difficult - along the Arkhipo-Osipovka embankment you need to go to the left if you are facing the sea. The path continues until the tourist sees the Teshebs River. You can cross it by crossing the bridge - it is located about 100 m to the left, or simply along the seashore. Sometimes in the summer the river dries out so much that you can immediately step over it. This is where the main path upward begins. Usually it takes no more than 1 hour.
Even children can cope with the climb to Mount Hedgehog. It is only important to choose the right shoes: you cannot even go out on this route in beach flip-flops and sandals. The ascent and descent are quite steep, your feet will slip, and you can get seriously injured. You need to wear light sneakers with non-slip soles.
The route to climb Mount Hedgehog in Arkhipo-Osipovka on foot on the map
You shouldn't leave the well-trodden road. This path goes along a rocky gutter. It is tested and safe. After a sharp climb, you can walk over the cliff along the beach and reach Cape Left.
The first observation deck is located at an altitude of 45 m. More beautiful views open from the second, which is 67 m high. It is more popular among tourists - the most beautiful photographs are taken here, and the coast and harbor are clearly visible. If you look in the other direction, you can see residential buildings and hotels, as well as other mountain peaks.
From the observation deck the road goes towards Dzhubga. From here you can see the endless sea, the water of which is azure blue.
It’s not difficult to climb to the highest point of the mountain at 245 m, but you won’t be able to see anything: dense forest and bushes grow around. You can come here just for yourself.

The beautiful legend of Dzhubga
There is a sad legend about the name of the Dzhubga River. In ancient times, a noble Shapsug lived in these parts, who had a beautiful daughter, Dzhubga. The father allowed the girl to walk in the garden only at night, so that no man could see her dazzling beauty. Many wooed her, but her father refused all the suitors. One day a young man snuck into the garden and kidnapped the beauty. The loving couple disappeared into the mountains. But her father tracked them down and killed her husband, and forcibly took Dzhubga away. Heartbroken, the “night beauty” threw herself from a cliff into the river, which began to be called by her name.
According to an old legend, the village of Dzhubga, the sights of which are now known far beyond the borders of the region, arose after a truce between warring Adyghe tribes. In honor of this, a feast was held at which the elder broke a jug for good luck. By his decree, a village named Bzhid (“broken vessel”) appeared in this place.
Architectural highlights and monuments of Tuapse
Among all the interesting things that experienced travelers recommend to see in Tuapse, several buildings and monuments stand out. Their visit is included in any excursion program.
Bus station building
Address: st. Marshala Zhukova, 6. Bus station bus stop.
The bus station building is rightfully considered one of the architectural symbols of Tuapse. The picturesque mansion, built in 1913, immediately catches your eye. Its blue and white facade is richly decorated with carved elements, somewhat reminiscent of Arabic script. Above the large arched window of the central portal, two turrets rise, as if copied from illustrations to “1000 and One Nights”. The composition is completed by a small fountain “Lighthouse”, emitting geysers in a cozy park laid out in front of the building.
Singing fountain
Address: Morskoy Boulevard. Transport stop "GDK".
The newest of the four iconic Tuapse fountains, commissioned in the spring of 2012. According to modern urban planning fashion, it does not have a traditional bowl. The pool, with 200 vents emitting jets of water built into its bottom, is located below ground level. Therefore, to the delight of children and holidaymakers languishing in the summer heat, you can even walk between the geysers. The water emission control system allows you to change the height of the jets to the beat of the music, and thoughtful lighting helps create a magical extravaganza of myriads of sprays when darkness falls. By the way, the maximum height of the fountain geyser can reach 18 m.
Hill of heroes
Address: st. Poletaeva. Transport stop "GDK".
The grand opening of the memorial in honor of the defenders of Tuapse took place in the spring of 1965. The location for it was not chosen by chance. At the top of the hill dominating the central part of the city, during the Caucasian Wars there was a fort called Velyaminov. During the Second World War, anti-aircraft gunners fired at the enemy from here. The steps of a stone staircase-alley lined with evergreen trees lead to the memorial. The architectural complex of Gorki includes granite pylons on which the names of fallen heroes are extruded, a monument to anti-aircraft gunners, sculptures of a liberating soldier and a grieving mother, the torch of the Eternal Flame, and the Alexievsky Temple.
Obelisk to the Fighters for Soviet Power
Address: October Revolution Square. Transport stop "Marine Station".
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution, a monument dedicated to the freedom fighters of the working people appeared in Tuapse. The height of the triangular obelisk, symbolizing a bayonet, is 21 m. The base of the pillar is decorated with high reliefs on revolutionary themes. The attitude of Tuapse residents towards monuments of the historical past can be set as an example for residents of many other cities. During the turbulent years of perestroika, the monument was not destroyed. Moreover, already in 2012, the square named after the revolution, where the obelisk stands, was decorated with additional illumination. In the evenings the composition looks excellent.
Sundial
Address: Morskoy Boulevard. Transport stop "Marine Station".
There are several interesting art objects on the Tuapse embankment, among which the Parus Sundial stands out. The background to their appearance in the city is very interesting. Initially, the installation was supposed to add to the list of Vyborg attractions. However, the project was implemented in Tuapse. Now, on a clear, sunny day, anyone can check their watch with a natural chronometer, the accuracy of which is guaranteed by the luminary.
