Going for an evening walk around Sochi is always a great idea. After all, Sochi, like the capital of our country, is a city that does not sleep. And even if you are used to going to bed early, change your routine for a while - evening Sochi is worth it.

The list of entertainment here is impressive: walks, observation decks, fountains, cable cars, vibrant cultural life. Moreover, many attractions look completely different in the evening than during the day. And some, such as the bright illumination of the streets or the magnificent fountain show, can only be seen in the evening. While vacationing in Sochi, be sure to find a couple of free evenings for a pleasant walk around the resort capital of Russia.

Where to go in Sochi in the evening: center and embankment

If you come to Sochi for one evening, you need to see the very best. First you need to get to Navaginskaya Street - the epicenter of resort life along the entire coast. During the day, families with children and holidaymakers who came to the city by train leisurely stroll here ( the railway station is located a stone's throw away), but in the evening Navaginskaya turns into a sparkling sea of lights.

Cafes, restaurants, boutiques, souvenir shops, excursion bureaus, Flag Square - here is the Museum of Sports Glory of Sochi , and for those who are in a hurry to take memorable photos - the Olympic rings and symbols of the Games. Also, all of Navaginskaya is a “green” paradise for city guests. Thanks to the mild climate of Sochi, flower beds, palm alleys, and fresh flower arrangements are pleasing to the eye all year round.

From Navaginskaya Street it is convenient to go to the park near the Marine Station. This pleasant living corner is located in the historical center of Sochi, and today it represents the standard of landscape design. Both Sochi residents and city guests come here for a stroll. They are attracted by beautiful pedestrian paths, an excellent view of the Sochi Marine Station surrounded by palm trees, and the sculptural composition “Sea Walk” (look closely, in a strong wind the bells ring and the waves “float” under the ship).

Near the cozy park there are many popular attractions of Sochi. This is a sculpture of Navigation, and a monument to the heroes of the legendary “Diamond Hand”, and a funny monument to the Tourist - usually you need to stand in line to take a photo with him. And in the spring, sakura blooms in the open spaces of the square, and then the center of Sochi turns into one bright fragrant bouquet. If you are looking for a place for a photo shoot, you won’t find a better place than the park near the Marine Station.

Of course, it is impossible to ignore the Sea Terminal building. Even if you have never been to Sochi, you have probably seen these elegant Empire style spiers in photos or films. It was from here that the snow-white, handsome liner “Mikhail Svetlov” sailed on its journey - the Marine Station tower is clearly visible in the frame of the Soviet film hit.

These days it is a popular and very beautiful place for walking. In the evening, the building of the “sea palace” looks especially romantic - beautiful lighting, reflection of lights on the sea surface, candles on the tables of open cafes. This is one of the most pleasant places in the city for dates and dinners with panoramic views.

Another great idea for an evening out: go on a boat trip. Tickets can be purchased both at the Marine Station ticket office and directly from excursion sellers. Such voyages are offered as introductory ones along the coast of Sochi (price tag starts from 500 rubles) and themed evening ones. You can go on an evening cruise with music and dinner, dance on the deck on the open sea under the stars, and even ring in the New Year on board an elegant yacht.

After viewing and photographing the Marine Station, go for a walk along the embankment. Primorskaya Embankment , or Primorsky Boulevard, stretches along the Black Sea coast for almost 2000 meters. Due to the peculiarities of the natural landscape, it is usually divided into Upper and Lower. The Upper Level houses the Seaside Park, the Historical Boulevard and many of the resort's popular attractions. The lower level consists of beaches and a walking area with shops and cafes.

Most recently, the Sochi embankment was extended by a section near the popular Riviera beach . This is a beautiful modern recreation area, with a terrace for watching the sunset, snow-white bridges and arches, and children's play areas. In the evening, when the heat subsides, the embankment is especially popular among Sochi residents and resort guests. If you dream of watching the sunset here with a glass of coffee, it is better to take a comfortable place with a good view in advance.

This version of a short introductory walk around Sochi is very easy to continue and diversify. Visit the abandoned sanatorium named after. Ordzhonikidze is a magnificent example of Soviet-era architecture. Try to come here closer to sunset - in the rays of the setting sun the luxurious palace looks even more mysterious.

Are you thinking about what else to see in the evening in Sochi? The resort's parks await you: the noisy and polyphonic Riviera , the elegant Southern Cultures , and of course the natural heart of the resort, the famous Sochi Arboretum . In the latter you can also use the cable car (the cabins run until 19:00) and explore Sochi from a bird's eye view. There is a convenient observation deck for a walk.

In the very center of the city, a stone's throw from the walking highways, there is a little known among tourists public garden "Fitophantasia" . In the evening it is beautifully illuminated and can become a wonderful photo area for fans of spectacular shots.

Pedestrian Navaginskaya street

Navaginskaya Street is a great place for walking in Sochi. This is how southern pedestrian streets should be designed so that you want to walk along them, and not run from there, dropping your slippers!

The street amazes with lush greenery - it seems that you can see half of the arboretum here. Palm trees, cypresses, agaves, yucca, pampas grass, oleanders, thujas and many more plants and flowers unknown to me. Benches, sculptures, cafes, restaurants and shops are unobtrusively located among the greenery. There is even a light and music fountain.

For all its tourist orientation, the appearance of Navaginskaya Street does not contain vulgarity and outright commercialism, as in Cypress Alley in Sudak, which plunges you into tourist hell. This is a place for leisurely walks and gatherings in cafes. It’s also convenient to go to the sea, because it will take you from the railway station straight to the seaport.

Where to go in the evening: Cultural holidays in Sochi

But Sochi is not only a tourist capital, but also an entertainment capital of Russia. Many events take place here every year and all year round: concerts of world and Russian performers, sports shows, football matches, fashion shows and theater seasons.

Going to the theater is a great idea for what to do in the evening in Sochi. Guests can enjoy the venues of the Winter and Summer Theaters , as well as numerous open-air stages. In the summer, the legendary Kinotavr festival rolls out its red carpet near the Winter Theater, and many new films can be watched for free - they are broadcast to everyone.

The resort's concert life offers no less variety. All year round, and especially during the tourist season, not only travelers, but also show business stars come here. Sochi venues - the most famous concert hall "Festival" and "Rosa Hall" - offer a variety of shows and performances. In Sochi you can listen to jazz, classical, modern music, attend a free street concert of emerging performers, or a magnificent show by a world star.

Club "Juan Ivanovich"

Address:

Sochi, Central district, st.
Egorova, 2 Average bill:
1500 rubles.

Not far from Riviera Park there is an absolutely unpretentious club, which is famous for its crazy parties and jokes from the hosts “below the belt”. The management of “Juan Ivanovich” reacted with humor not only to the search for a name for the establishment, but also to the organization of its work in general. Dancing on tables, the Kama Sutra instead of a book of complaints, peculiar communication between waiters and club guests - all this is the norm here. And, despite this, visitors are treated seriously at the entrance: face control, which cuts off drunk guests and people under 21 years of age.

Why “Juan Ivanovich” attracts visitors:

  • Reckless atmosphere;
  • Original competitions;
  • Positive music;
  • Restless presenters;
  • Quite fast service.

Olympic Park in the evening

Does great weather encourage you to go for a walk? So you will enjoy the colorful fountain shows in Sochi. There are many of them in the city, but the most popular ones are located on Plane Alley and in the famous Olympic Park . And if the first ones are rather historical, then the second ones are the most spectacular in the south of the country.

The singing fountains in the area of Navaginskaya Street are called “Melody”. They have been delighting Sochi residents and resort guests since 1970; they are one of the resort’s old-timers. True, these days the appearance of the fountains bears little resemblance to a shot from a Soviet postcard - the fountains were updated and reconstructed for the Olympic Games. Well-known instrumental compositions of popular and classical music are responsible for the “sound part” of the fountain.

If you watch the entire show from beginning to end, you will be surprised - not a single composition or play of light is repeated. Please note: the light and sound show can only be viewed in the warm season, in the evening, approximately from 19:00 to 21:00. There is no exact operating schedule for the fountain.

the Singing Fountains in the Olympic Park are considered much more popular and spectacular . This attraction appeared on the map of Sochi not so long ago; its opening was timed to coincide with the 2014 Olympic Games. “Olympic Flame Bowl” is the official name of the fountain in the Olympic Park. It was here that the official opening and closing of the famous Winter Olympics in Sochi took place.

The light and sound show will amaze even the most experienced traveler. Every day, in the evening (it is better to check the exact schedule on the official website of the Olympic Park), you will find a bright hour-long performance. The accompaniment is both masterpieces of world classics and modern hits and songs from popular films. The singing fountains in the Olympic Park are an attraction that should definitely be included in your evening walk around Sochi.

Abba bar

Address: Sochi, Central district, st. Egorova, 1a. Average check:

1500 rubles.

The style of the bar, located near the Riviera Park, is already reflected in the name. Therefore, you won’t have to rack your brains about what kind of music is played here - of course, disco hits, timeless classics of the genre. The interior of the establishment is very interesting, which is immediately memorable due to its originality.

"Abba bar" includes two halls: Music room and Disco hall. In the first one, you can have a pleasant time in the company of friends, have dinner and enjoy the music, which the visitors themselves choose from the establishment’s record collection. The concept of the menu is interesting - as the bar management says, it includes the favorite dishes of the stars. And each month they are supplemented with special dishes that were loved by a specific legendary figure whose anniversary the bar is celebrating. Disco hall – room for dancing.

Why they love Abba bar:

  • For telephones installed on each table and facilitating the process of getting to know bar visitors;
  • For the interesting decor, which collected details of many famous nightclubs;
  • For the establishment’s delicious pastries;
  • For the opportunity to enjoy your favorite music.

Observation platforms in Sochi

As you know, the best views of the city open to those who rise higher. In Sochi, for such travelers there are a lot of observation platforms, both well-maintained and paid, and completely wild.

Akhun Tower

The most famous observation deck in Sochi was the tower on Mount Akhun . A beautiful stone structure, despite its solid “medieval” appearance, is not that ancient. The tower and the road to it were built in the middle of the last century; they were not yet a hundred years old. However, this does not affect the beauty of the view in any way - the best thing on Akhun is not the walls or the amusement park.

The most beautiful thing begins when you climb to the upper platform along narrow stone corridors. The panorama that opens to the dreaming tourist is breathtaking. Here you can see Sochi as far as the horizon, the sea coast, and mountain peaks - in clear weather you can see the ridges of neighboring Abkhazia .

You can view the tower from the outside for free; to go up to the observation deck you need to buy a ticket. In summer the lift is open until 21:00.

Observation platforms of Primorsky Park

The Primorsky Park and the Sochi embankment, due to their natural topography, can become excellent (and completely free) viewing platforms for the city. The Upper Embankment and the Historical Boulevard offer beautiful panoramic views of the coast, beaches, temples and theaters.

Don’t miss the observation deck near the Festivalny concert hall; it offers a panoramic view of the Sochi embankment. Beautiful staircases are literally buried in flowers and greenery of palm trees; they serve as an excellent frame for the attractions of the Seaside Park - for example, the Temple of the Archangel Michael . It is very pleasant to take a walk here, admiring the evening Sochi, all year round.

Skypark

For breathtaking views of the mountains, head towards the resorts of Krasnaya Polyana . Deep gorges, mountain rivers, waterfalls, mesmerizing rock peaks - all this, and something more, awaits you in the legendary Skypark with its famous bridge.

Skypark is the first and so far the only high-altitude adventure park in our country. Here you can tickle your nerves on the world's highest swing, test your courage at the bungee jumping attraction, or fly on a zipline.

Or just enjoy the stunning views of the Akhshtyr Gorge while walking along the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in Russia. 439 meters of delight and magnificent views - this is what awaits the brave traveler who dares to walk over the abyss. Photos that will blow up social networks are guaranteed!

Water park "Mayak"

In the very heart of Sochi, you can go to an equally popular water entertainment center - the Mayak water park. A wide selection of attractions will appeal to both adults and the youngest guests of the water park. The “Family” slide is perfect for going down together, the “Sleigh” attraction invites you to slide down a steep mountain on a special sleigh, and for the most courageous – the “Twister”, “Kamikaze” and “Free Fall” entertainment, a visit to which guarantees a storm of emotions. The children enjoy spending time in the “Children's Town” water complex, equipped with slides, waterfalls, Charcot showers and other entertainment. Little fidgets will also love the original “Scarlet Sails” playground in the shape of a ship with real ropes, ladders, holds and boats. On the territory of the Mayak water park there is also a sea beach, where you can continue your relaxation and ride a banana, scooter or hydrobike. This is a great place to take a break from excursions to other attractions of Sochi.

Where to go in the evening in Sochi with children

Sochi is an excellent choice for a family vacation. All travelers, young and old, will enjoy it here, and everyone will find entertainment to their liking. Including in the evening, when the city turns into a sparkling sea of lights.

Staying in the center? Be sure to take a walk through the most popular and oldest park of the resort - Riviera. There are attractions, entertainment, and open-air concerts. And of course the famous dolphinarium (pay attention to the evening show), many cafes aimed at families with children, pleasant shady alleys for a walk. Another bonus of the Riviera Park is that admission is free.

A must-visit attraction if you come on vacation with children is the famous Sochi Park . It’s worth coming here for the whole day and staying until late in the evening. The park is open until 21:00, but don't think that there are only attractions here. You can ride the Ferris Wheel and admire the night illumination of the Bogatyr Hotel - at night it becomes even more like a fairy-tale castle. And, of course, take a walk through the nearby Olympic Park.

Those who have seen everything in Sochi and been everywhere will love the new open-air amusement park “Pik 701” . The highest Ferris Wheel in Sochi is located here; it is located on Mount Akhun at an altitude of 701 meters above sea level. From its cabins you can see the Caucasus Mountains, the sea coast, the center of Sochi and the Olympic venues. Here is also the fabulous Summer Residence of Father Frost, where you can chat with reindeer and write a letter ordering a holiday gift.

Also in Peak 701 there is a husky park for fans of these cute dogs. And a rope park, for those who are tired of sitting still. The park has two routes of different difficulty levels, for children and adults. You won't be able to go hungry here either - there are cafes in the park to suit every taste and budget.

Arboretum

49 hectares of plants - impressive, right? The arboretum is especially beautiful in March-April, when magnolias, wisteria, sakura, and tsarcis bloom. Some floristurists specially come to the arboretum in the spring to admire such beauty. Read about spring Sochi to find out when is the best time to come.

But in other months it’s good in the arboretum. Here you can find a bench in the shade and wait out the heat, look at birds and animals, and take a ride on the cable car.

The park is divided into two parts. The upper arboretum is a large park on a slope, and the lower one is intimate on the plain. The bottom one is more cozy, I like it better. It has huge bamboo groves, shady alleys, large ponds with pelicans and swans.

Entrance is paid, you will be given a single ticket for both parts of the park.

Find out more about the arboretum in Sochi.

It is better to come to the arboretum for at least half a day to see it in full.

In the arboretum you can admire not only plants, but also watch the life of waterfowl. For example, this pelican is a bird with character. When he makes landfall, watch out!

Where to go in Sochi: Resort nightlife

But if there is a lot of entertainment for children in Sochi, then there are even more cafes, bars and restaurants where adults can have a good time. Sochi is the true entertainment capital of the South, and here you will have no shortage of adventures. Start your walk on the resort's embankment - all the fun in the evening is just beginning here!

Be sure to check out Bar Nebar, which has become almost a cult favorite in a short time. There are all levels of relaxation here: a restaurant, karaoke, a lounge area with a hookah, a bar with dancing at the drinks stand - and all this in a 24/7 format. During the day people come to the Nebar Bar for lunch and a cool atmosphere, and in the evening a whole 500 square meters of daring dancing and entertainment. The wine list, service, and music are also excellent.

Another great space for daytime and evening relaxation is the Vinograd club. During the day you can relax by the pool, have lunch or taste hand-made desserts. In the evening - rock up at parties with the participation of Russian and foreign stars, try cocktails, or socialize at the 10-meter bar.

Abandoned sanatorium Ordzhonikidze

It’s pleasant to walk in the park of the delightful sanatorium: there are few people, a lot of shade, plus you can admire the beautiful architecture. And the architecture of the health resort will definitely not leave you indifferent. The Socialist Palace was a prestigious vacation spot in the Soviet Union - of course, a simple worker could not even imagine such luxury! Architecture in the Palladian style of the Renaissance, rich stucco, massive columns, luxurious staircases, weightless arches, whose vaults were painted by the masters of Palekh and Mstera. They say that the sanatorium served black caviar and sturgeon.

Now all this is gradually falling into disrepair, although there are rumors that the sanatorium has been bought and will be renovated. For now, you can get into the territory for free, but inside the buildings is impossible. Look at the photo and learn more about the Ordzhonikidze sanatorium.

Mountain resorts of Sochi in the evening

Did you know that Sochi is one of the longest and most diverse cities in the world? Here you can swim in the sea in the morning, and in the evening you can rise above the clouds to see all the beauties of the best resort in Russia. All three mountain clusters of Sochi - Rosa Khutor , Krasnaya Polyana and Gazprom - will provide an excellent selection of evening entertainment.

The best ski resort in Russia, Rosa Khutor, offers to purchase a “Sunset on the Peak” walking ticket. Cable cars will take you to a dizzying height of 2320 meters above sea level. You will see fantastic panoramas: mountain ranges, valleys, snow-capped peaks of rocks and peaks in the sunset haze.

In Krasnaya Polyana it is worth taking a ride to an altitude of 2200 meters above sea level. There is an excellent observation deck here, offering a fantastic 360-degree view of the surrounding area. Mountains, valleys, resorts, even the sea in the haze on the horizon - choose a clear day, and your eyes will be presented with an unforgettable panorama.

Also at the “high mountain” level of Sochi there are many bars and cafes. Pay attention to Harat's Irish Pub, Chicha Bar, and if you climbed to the Mountain Olympic Village - the cheerful "Den Bar".

Water park "Amphibius"

It is impossible to imagine a full-fledged active holiday in hot Sochi without visiting everyone’s favorite water attractions. Therefore, we suggest you go to Adler and spend the whole day in one of the most popular Sochi water parks called “Amphibius”. There's a huge selection of water activities to choose from, from outdoor spiraling slides to indoor twisting rides, five-lane family slides and as many as five swimming pools. The coolest (literally and figuratively) slides in the Kamikaze and Blue Hall water parks are perfect for adrenaline junkies. And for kids, there are fun slides in the form of a kite, an elephant and an octopus, as well as an exciting attraction called “Fantasy” with water barrels, artificial rain and mischievous fountains.

Riviera Beach

Dacha Kvitko

Colonel Kvitko's dacha is the most mystical landmark of Sochi.
And although the park around it is tiny and there is nowhere to walk, I included it in the selection because the place is interesting, beautiful and quiet. It’s interesting to climb around the castle and imagine how the aristocracy lived before the revolution. And what sunsets are here! In general, be sure to arrive an hour before sunset, but first read about the legends and history of the Kvitko dacha. Colonel Kvitko's dacha is a small Italian castle in Sochi, shrouded in legends.

These are the romantic sunsets you can enjoy from the terrace of the Kvitko dacha.

Sightseeing tours

Most of the listed interesting places in Sochi for tourists can be viewed as part of standard and custom excursion activities. These are walking routes with a professional guide or a trip on a comfortable bus or car - for several hours or for the whole day with a stop for lunch, swimming, free time, etc. If you are in the city for the first time and want to learn as much new information as possible, this is an option just for you. Plan your vacation with selections from Likengo!

Dolphinarium "Aquatoria"

The Aquatoria Dolphinarium in Adler is rightfully one of the most visited attractions in Sochi. The dolphinarium hosts exciting water shows featuring local crowd favorites. Black Sea dolphins demonstrate their flexibility and ingenuity during mischievous games with a ball and giving their trainer piggyback rides. A white polar dolphin named Stepan enjoys interacting with viewers, making a variety of funny sounds, from chirping to whistling. In addition, Stepan and his relatives can draw well: right during the performance, they paint pictures that can easily be classified as works of abstract art. Another star of the dolphinarium, the sea lion Masha, performs complex acrobatic acts and even knows how to juggle. As a souvenir of the performance, you can purchase paintings painted by dolphins, photographs of your favorite artists, or video footage of the concert.
