A clean warm sea, the absence of jellyfish, a flat sandy bottom, sea air, an abundance of fresh natural vegetables and fruits - you can find all this in the city of Yeisk, Krasnodar Territory. Every year a huge number of tourists with children come here for a family holiday. According to reviews from vacationers, having arrived in Yeysk once, they return here again and again. Today we want to talk about what makes this city attractive for tourists and where to go in Yeisk with a child.
About the resort city
On the shores of the Azov Sea, on the Yeisk Spit, lies the resort town of Yeisk, which was founded in 1848. It is one of the most popular resorts for families with children. It’s not for nothing that this city is called a children’s resort; there are a number of reasons that contribute to this.
The city is located on a peninsula and is washed on 3 sides by the waters of the Azov Sea. Throughout the territory there are sandy and shell shallow beaches, which are well equipped for children. The Sea of Azov is shallow, and therefore ideal for swimming, thereby guaranteeing the safety of children, and it is also much warmer than the Black Sea. Due to the fact that it is not so deep, the water in it warms up faster. A huge plus is that the beaches and shore are very comfortable, there are always free places on them, there is no crowding, in addition, there are special beaches for children, such as “Children’s” and “Melyaki”. Where to go in Yeisk with a child? The city has a huge number of attractions and other amazing places that will surely attract little inquisitive fidgets.
"Bingo Bongo"
Another great place to visit with your child is family-friendly. On its territory, the child will certainly receive a lot of positive impressions that will remain in his memory for a long time. There are a considerable number of slot machines, various simulators, an entire amusement park, bowling alley, air hockey and even a dry pool filled with a huge number of balls of different colors - it will be noted that not only children will want to swim in it.
“Bingo-Bango” also has a small cafe where they prepare delicious pizza - this is where you can stop by after a long active holiday.
Poddubny Park
Where to go with a child in Yeysk? Be sure to visit Poddubny Park, which locals affectionately call “the smile of the city.” This is one of the most popular places that guests visit first. Here you can stroll along secluded alleys, admire beautiful well-groomed flowers and green spaces, and sit on cozy, cute benches.
The park area is considered one of the oldest in Kuban; more than 150 years have passed since its foundation. The park is named after the legendary, world-famous Russian strongman Ivan Poddubny. Currently, there are various attractions and entertainment for children of any age; there is a petting zoo, trampolines, and electric car rentals on the territory. The park has a Ferris wheel from which you can see the city from a height of 25 meters. In the summer, a circus tent welcomes spectators here.
In the park you can see the figure of Ivan Maksimovich, as if he was looking into the distance. Next to it are pound weights. There is such a sign: if you rub one of them with your hand, you can achieve incredible heights in sports.
Entertainment on the embankment and the blue-blue sea
In Yeisk, along the Kamenka beach, there is the famous Taganrog embankment, walks along it are an obligatory part of spending time at the resort. It is interesting for both adults and children. Parents will appreciate the beautiful tiles, lanterns stylized as light sources from the early twentieth century, and a cast-iron fence made in the same style that separates the coastal street from the Azov waters proper. Little guests of the resort will enjoy cafes and kiosks with all sorts of small things, small sculptural forms demonstrating the inhabitants of the sea. However, no matter how attractive the embankment is, no matter what entertainment there is for children in Yeisk, the first place will still remain with the coast.
The Sea of Azov is shallower; the beaches here have sand and a gentle entrance. It is beautiful in the morning and in the evening, helps adults teach children to see beauty in the simplest things. We hope that now you know where you can go with your child in Yeysk! Well, in conclusion, a question - where do you take your children at this resort?! You can answer it in the comments.
Parks named after Gorky and Nikolsky
In addition to Poddubny Park, there are two more small but very beautiful parks in the city, one of them is the park named after. Gorky. In this place there is a cafe "Penguin", a children's playground, and on the territory of the Archangel Michael Church, located here, there is a zoological corner where ducks, squirrels, swans, peacocks, and sheep live.
Not far from it is Nikolsky Park. It occupies a much smaller area, but here you will also find small children's attractions and various summer cafes.
Ostrich Ranch
Not only children, but also parents will be delighted after visiting the only ostrich ranch in all of Yeysk. This farm is located right on the territory of one of the most visited parks in the city - named after Poddubny.
The guides can talk about how the birth process of a baby ostrich occurs, as well as some of the stages of its development. While here, both children and their parents can learn a lot of new things about this type of bird; here you can take a photo with them, but most often this is done with small ostrich chicks, since they are more active in contact, especially if you feed them with food purchased in advance at the farm food
Museum of a real strongman
Ivan Maksimovich came to Yeysk from Zaporozhye in 1927 and lived there for about 22 years. Ivan Poddubny spent the last years of his life in the city of Yeisk. That is why it was decided to create a museum dedicated to the famous strongman. The exhibitions located here tell about his life, about overcoming difficulties on the way to his first victories and about universal recognition.
Be sure to visit this museum, built in the form of a tent (it was in these that Ivan Poddubny, a six-time world champion in French wrestling, performed before the revolution). It's actually quite an interesting place and there's really a lot to see with kids. In Yeisk, in the museum, among the exhibits there is an authentic banknote on which is written “I. Poddubny,” these were the athlete’s gifts to daredevils who were not afraid to enter the ring with him to fight. Among the interesting exhibits is a handmade oriental silk robe, which is embroidered with beautiful patterns. The wrestler entered the arena in it before the start of the competition. By the way, here is a cast-iron cane that weighs almost 20 kg, with which Ivan Maksimovich walked through the streets of the city.
Entrance to the museum is paid, but the ticket price is symbolic - 50 rubles. You can visit it from 9:00 to 17:00 on all days except Sunday and Monday.
The most famous residents of the city
The city is also famous for its talented people. The most famous native of Yeysk is the famous cinematographer and actor Sergei Bondarchuk. As a child, he spent his entire childhood and then his youth in this city, even starting a career in the local drama theater. The great Russian actress Nonna Mordyukova spent her teenage years in this city, who is loved, remembered and revered here. She lived in Yeysk before entering VGIK. There are two sculptures of these outstanding artists in the city.
Things to do?
In addition to beach holidays in the city you can find many entertainments and interesting places to visit. And what’s gratifying is that the cost of entertainment here is lower than at the popular Black Sea resorts. In Yeysk you can have fun in:

- water park;
- dolphinariums.
You can visit the crocodile farm and the aquarium. In the evening, take a walk along the restored Taganrog embankment or in Poddubny Park. And lovers of outdoor recreation will enjoy a trip to Bird Island, where hundreds of seabirds nest.
Yeysk is a popular resort for fans of windsurfing and kiting. The winds in the Taganrog Bay and the Yeisk Estuary blow constantly, so your holiday with older children can be devoted to mastering active sports. Sailing through the waves or flying a kite over the surface of the water is an activity for a real young hero.

You can also rent a cottage or house in the private sector. Special services offer more than 500 options.

Ethnographical museum
We recommend visiting such an attraction in Yeysk on vacation with children as the Museum of Ethnography - the village of Kubansky Khutor. It is located just 3 km from the city. In this amazing place you will get acquainted with the life and traditions of the Cossacks, you will be able to spend time with the animals of the farmstead, visit the poultry house and apiary, take riding lessons and ride horses. In this place you can feel the former spirit of the Cossacks, boundless freedom, unbending will.

For horse riding lessons with an instructor, you will have to pay 400 rubles. at one o'clock. Vacationers are offered a chaise ride; for such a trip they will charge 50 rubles. per person.

City center - Yeisk Arbat
You are faced with the question “where to go with children in Yeisk”? Be sure to visit the local Arbat. At any time, day or night, this street is closed to vehicles, so walking here is very comfortable. On both sides of Sverdlova Street there are buildings built in the 19th – early 20th centuries. In the city center there are retail outlets where they sell colorful souvenirs, unusual crafts, and beautiful paintings painted by local artists. In addition, there are cozy cafes where Yeisk musicians and artists perform in the evenings. This place is home to the city’s most famous confectionery shop, Uyut, whose products are always tasty and fresh.
Answering the question about where to go in Yeysk with a child, we can definitely recommend taking a promenade through the historical center of the city. At the intersection of Sverdlov and Lenin streets there is a bust of Zakhary Chepiga, who was the Kosh chieftain and led the Black Sea army to winter on the Yeisk Spit in 1792, thereby encouraging people to develop the Kuban land.
Between Liebknecht and Lenin streets, an unusual pavement has been preserved, consisting of ballast stones from foreign ships that arrived at the port. By the way, some of them have “news” printed on them from a city publication of the 19th century. Another of the most interesting places to go with a child in Yeysk is the Museum of Local History.
Walking down the street a little further, you can see an unusually beautiful fountain with four Greek goddesses holding a dish with water cascading down on their heads. In the evening, lanterns are lit here, which makes this place especially beautiful.
Finally, we suggest watching a video about the sights of the city and surrounding area.
