On the territory of Greater Sochi there are 6 entertaining water complexes, half of which welcome guests only in the summer. In 2021, some water parks in Sochi and Adler were closed for reconstruction, for example, Adler's Amphibius. And the indoor water park of Adler, more precisely, the Adler region, “Galaxy” has limited visits to water slides. The largest water parks in Sochi and Adler operating in 2021 are AquaLoo and Starfish.

**This assessment of the water park seems completely biased to us and we do not recommend focusing solely on it when choosing a water park. We believe (but are not at all sure) that Laura-Gazprom used its enormous resources to falsify reviews on popular portals.
What slides are there in the water park?
The complex is divided into a year-round indoor area and an open summer area, operating from June to October. In both parts of the park there are swimming pools, children's sections with fountains and mini-slides, as well as 8 large water slides up to 17 m high and up to 156 m long.
The longest slide in the park's indoor area is the Black Hole . In complete darkness, you face a 90-meter descent with sharp turns on rubber mattresses. Fans of extreme sports in the closed part of the complex will also enjoy the Kamikaze , where, due to the steep angle of the track, you can accelerate to a speed of 10 m/s. The length of the descent is 60 m.
Of the simple slides that are also suitable for children, in the covered part there is a “Pigtail” , which consists of two intertwined pipes about 50 m long. The descent occurs from a height of 13.7 m.
In the summer part of AquaLoo there is the longest slide of the park - SpaceBot . Taking sharp turns, you will rush at high speed from a height of 16 meters along a 156-meter track. You need to ride on inflatable rafts.
, the “Space Coaster” will also be attractive . After descending through a closed pipe, you will find yourself in a bowl-funnel, from where, after overcoming several turns, you will fall into the pool. The length of the slide is 95 m, the height is 14 m.
If you want to feel like overcoming the rapids of a mountain river, choose the “Rafting” . Here the stream of water will carry you at a decent speed from a height of 14 m along an open track, in some places twisted in a spiral.
For families and groups, the Multislide - these are 4 open slides located nearby, on which you can slide down synchronously, competing on speed. The descent is smooth, its length is 60 m.
Water parks in the center of Sochi
Lighthouse
Mayak is the oldest and smallest water park in the greater Sochi. There are only 5 types of slides, a tiny area and two cool children's areas: a classic children's playground in the form of a shallow pool and various designs, and a children's playground with trampolines and other entertainment.
A special feature of the Mayak water park is that it is adjacent to 2 beaches. This is the only water park in Sochi where water attractions can be combined with swimming in the Black Sea.
The lighthouse is one of the most easily accessible water parks for those located in the center. The location on the central embankment is the best option of all.
Another advantage of Mayak is simple tariffs without a bunch of options where you need to calculate what is profitable for you. Everything is simple and clear.
AquaLoo
Strictly speaking, this water park is not in the central area, but in Lazarevsky, but it is much closer to the center. Therefore, it is more logical to indicate it here.
AquaLoo is almost the exact opposite of Mayak. This is the largest water park with the most developed infrastructure, located in the middle of nowhere and getting to it is completely inconvenient. Nevertheless, aggressive advertising and a large amount of entertainment turn it into the most visited establishment of this type in Greater Sochi.
And the most criticized one. They criticize Aqualoo for almost everything - some of the slides are constantly not working, the free buffet is such that most will not be able to eat or drink it, even if they are paid, and the cleanliness is not up to par.
Nevertheless, Aqualoo offers visitors the largest number of slides (even taking into account the fact that 2-3 may not work) and really good pools. The water park itself is popular largely due to many related services. For example, there are often promotions where, for an additional payment of literally a couple of hundred rubles on top of the entrance ticket, you get entry to a disco, participation in a foam party and a room in addition.
Let's be fair - the barrage of criticism that falls on the water park is not entirely justified, and Aqualoo successfully covers up many of its shortcomings with interesting proposals.
AquaLoo is a partially indoor water park. Therefore, it functions in winter, but not all slides work
Adler water parks
Strictly speaking, there should be three water parks in Adler - “Amphibius”, “Galaxy” and “Mountain Beach”. But the last 2 are located in a mountain cluster, far from the regional center itself. Therefore, we will consider them separately, like the water parks of Krasnaya Polyana. From the point of view of the administrative division of Sochi, this is incorrect. From the point of view of logic and convenience, it is quite justified.
Amphibius
One of the best water parks in Sochi and a clear leader if you don’t take the water parks of the remote Lazarevsky district. Amphibius is located on the outskirts of Adler, in a place called Resort Town. The water park is average in size. There is a large variety of slides, an excellent children's playground, several swimming pools and a good selection of cafes.
The water park is different in that it is one of the best in almost every respect, but in no way is it superior to its competitors. For example, the variety of slides here is very large, but in “AquaLoo” and “Nautilus” there are still more of them. There is a really scary “Kamikaze” here, but in “Nautilus” it is scarier. There are a lot of swimming pools here by Sochi standards, but “Starfish” and “Mountain Beach” are superior to it. The cuisine here is good and the prices are normal (by the standards of water parks), but at Sea Star it’s much better. The ticket price here is quite low, but “Mayak” is still cheaper. Amphibius looks good, albeit simple, but it is far from “Galaxy” and “Mountain Beach”. Good in everything, Amphibius never became the best in anything.
Infrastructure
The Amphibius water park in Adler has a large number of food outlets for every taste. Guests can have a snack at the pizzeria, eat hot dogs or French fries, treat themselves to sweets, cocktails or ice cream. Beer houses with a wide selection of seafood are open to everyone, as well as the Pharaoh grill bar, beautifully stylized as an old ship with a chic menu and an excellent bar list. You can only pay for everything in cash. It is prohibited to bring food with you.
There are photographers working on site. Souvenir shops and shops with swimming accessories and sunscreen cosmetics are open.
Reviews
Many visitors to Sochi visit the Amphibius water park. On travel forums, in addition to positive ratings, you can also find negative ones. In general, dissatisfaction boils down to the large number of vacationers inside. This is a minus of many popular establishments of this type. However, it should be noted that even with such frantic traffic, the staff manages to maintain cleanliness and order throughout, and also closely monitor the safety of customers.
Water parks in Krasnaya Polyana
The king had two sons. The older one is smart, and the younger one is a fool... It’s about the same story with the water parks in Krasnaya Polyana. Senior, “Galaxy” even more or less. but Mountain Beach is really bad..
Galaxy
“Galaxy” can only be called a water park if you have a lot of imagination. Judge for yourself, there are only 3 slides for 12 pools. The slides themselves aren't that bad, they're average. But the main thing you can do here is swim in the pool. The galaxy is saved by their rooftop pool. Imagine a large and beautiful swimming pool with steam coming from it, and around there are snow-capped mountains... and right next to the water’s edge there is also snow. Beauty!
In addition to dubious entertainment, the Galaxy has one more drawback - wildly expensive food, with dubious quality. Moreover, you cannot leave the water park - you will leave its territory to have a normal meal and they will not let you back.
The water park is located on the territory of the Gazprom Laura ski complex. “Galaktika” is an indoor water park and therefore operates at full capacity in winter.
Mountain Beach
The name of this water park translates as “Mountain Beach” and it accurately reflects its essence. The water park is a huge swimming pool with a sandy beach next to it. The beach also comes with appropriate entertainment: sun loungers on which you can sunbathe, a beach volleyball court, etc. By the way, the roof of this water park is glass, which allows you to bask in the sun and not freeze even on the coldest winter days.
Mountain Beach has 5 slides, but they are all small. This water park can confidently be called the weakest in the greater Sochi area.
When it comes to food, everything here is like a galaxy. Expensive and dubious.
Mountain Beach is located in the Gorki Gorod (Nizhny) resort, in the Gorki Gorod Mall shopping center
How to get to the water park
The largest indoor water park in Sochi is located in the village of Loo, on Dekabristov, 78b. You can travel 22 km from the central bus station of Sochi to Loo in 1 hour by direct bus No. 76 (the bus station is located next to the water complex). In just 45 minutes. From the Sochi railway station you can get to the Mountain Air station in Loo, from where it’s a few minutes’ walk to the water park.
By car, the trip from Sochi to the park takes 40 minutes. (along Batumi highway). There is free parking near the water feature, but it is often crowded during the season.
Water parks of Lazarevsky
Lazarevsky water parks provide an amazing contrast to their competitor from Krasnaya Polyana. If the Mountain Cluster - the most expensive part of Sochi - has the weakest water parks, then the cheap Lazarevskoye has become home to the best. If in Red
In Polyana it is correct to ask the question “Which of the water parks will be worse than the other,” but in Lazarevsky it is a different question: “Which one is better?”
By the way, we will answer this too. Still, Nautilus is better. Although no... Not everything is so simple here.
Nautilus
An excellent water park, pleasant in appearance and with really extreme slides. You can praise it for a long time - especially for the excellent “Tsunami” slide, for the very sharp descents in “Kamikaze”, for the large number of slides in circles, for normal prices for food and a small (considering the quality) price tag for entry. To criticize him for something, you need to think carefully, and even then, besides swimming pools (of which there is only one), you can hardly find anything (but that’s not what people come to a water park for, right?). You can also criticize it for its not very convenient location, but this is debatable. “Nautilus” is still located in the center of Lazarevsky and for those who are there, everything is convenient and close. And from Sochi or Adler, yes, you’ll have to ride the train.
Starfish
The starfish is a neighbor and competitor of the Nautilus. Here, too, everything is very good with the slides (although on the extreme scale they are a little inferior). There is an excellent swimming pool here, and indeed all the water is sea water. Here is the most delicious and cheapest catering among Sochi water parks (there is even a chain Subway). Due to these two advantages, it is generally on par with Nautilus (and maybe even surpasses it). But there are also a couple of disadvantages: there is no children’s playground, so if you have small children with you, then Nautilus is definitely for you (although those who go to the water park without children may see this as an advantage. Who loves children’s screams and crying while relaxing?) and in appearance it is inferior to the Nautilus.
To summarize, we can say that no matter which water park in Lazarevskoye you choose, you won’t go wrong.

What slides are there in the water park?
On an area of more than 1 hectare there is a swimming pool with sun loungers, a children's playground with low slides and fountains, as well as 11 large slides.
The most extreme roller coaster of Starfish is Kamikaze . These are two open tracks located nearby with a steep angle of inclination, due to which, when falling from a height of 12 m, a speed of up to 10 m/s is achieved. Foam is similar to Kamikaze , but it is flatter.
Fans of dizzying turns will love the closed slides "Boa" and "Black Pipe" , where the descent takes place at high speed along twisted turns of a spiral.
“Pigtails” and “Rafting” slides , as well as the “Space Ball” 6.5 m high and 18 m long. You will go down a short pipe into a round open bowl with high walls, from where you will splash down into the pool.
