TOP-3 - what to visit in Dolgoprudny in 1 day
It is impossible to visit all the sights of Dolgoprudny in one day. Tourists who have limited time should devote it to the best places in the city.
Vinogradovo estate ensemble
- Address: Dmitrovskoye sh., 165, building 2.
The estate is located on the outskirts of Dolgoprudny, close to Moscow. It was founded in the first half of the 17th century and belonged to the noble family of the Pushkins. The first owner of the estate was Gavriil Georgievich Pushkin, a governor, a distant ancestor of Alexander Pushkin, whom the poet mentioned in the work “Boris Godunov”.
Later, the estate passed to Gabriel’s grandson, Matvey Stepanovich. He was destined to become the last of the Pushkin family to own the Vinogradovo estate. Matvey's son Fyodor took part in the Streltsy rebellion, for which Peter I ordered his execution and his father's exile to Siberia.
After this, the estate was empty until it was bought by Alexander Glebov, a relative of Empress Elizabeth Petrovna. It was under him that the estate complex acquired modern features. Glebov built a magnificent mansion and the Vladimir Church in the classicist style. At this time, Gabriel Derzhavin and Nikolai Karamzin visited the estate.
From the end of the 18th century. and until 1895 the Benckendorf nobles owned the estate. Once Ivan Krylov stayed with them.
The era of prosperity of the estate ended in 1917. The revolution left traces of destruction and desolation on the manor houses. In the 1930s, the complex was recognized as an architectural monument. Throughout the Soviet period, it was restored and maintained in the best possible condition.
Today on the territory of Vinogradovo the following buildings have been preserved:
- Herman's house is a log house in the eclectic style with a recognizable turret. Named after the last owner of the R.V. Herman.
- The Banza House is a stone building in the classicist style with an elegant portico and colonnade.
- The Vladimir Church is a unique example of architecture and the only functioning building of the complex.
The ensemble is lost in the forest. The roofs of the mansions are visible from the banks of Dolgiye Ponds. Despite all attempts to preserve the architectural heritage, the estate ensemble is inevitably destroyed. Soon buildings like Herman's house will be lost.
Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God
- Address: Likhachevsky Prospekt, 19.
The Kazan Church was erected in 2003 on the site of the ancient wooden Church of St. George the Victorious. The church amazes with the luxury of its decorations and the beauty of its facades.
The building embodied the best features of the Russian style: figured attics, tiered kokoshniks, jagged friezes and a huge central tent. Small tents crown the bell tower.
A colorful touch to the composition is added by golden and azure domes with stars covering the blind and light drums. The facades are painted in milky tones, and the copper-colored molding adds expressiveness to the composition.
Currently, the Kazan Church is the main temple of Dolgoprudny and the most recognizable landmark of the city.
Historical and Art Museum
- Address: st. Tsiolkovsky, 34.
The Dolgoprudnensky Museum is a treasure trove of the city’s historical and cultural heritage. The exhibition has existed since 1958 and includes a valuable collection of documents and photographs depicting the history of airship construction in the city, and therefore its formation.
Over the decades, the museum has been replenished with household items from the 18th-19th centuries. and archaeological artifacts. These valuable items were found during city development, exploration companies, or were donated by local residents.
The museum made a huge step forward in 1978, when it received a collection of paintings, sculptures and decorative arts. This is what led to the fact that the museum is now called “historical and artistic”.

The architectural splendor of Dolgoprudny
Dolgoprudny is a relatively young city that has not seen the era of nobles and merchants. Nevertheless, estates have been preserved in its surroundings, which (despite their age) have not lost their splendor.
Manor Mysovo
- Address: Parkovaya street, 33.
The Mysovo estate was founded at the turn of the 15th-16th centuries on the picturesque shore of the Kalyazin reservoir. The estate changed owners many times. The last of them was the merchant-industrialist A.G. Kuznetsov. Under him, the estate acquired its final appearance. Kuznetsov laid out a magnificent park and built a mansion that has survived to this day.
It is a two-story house with a hexagonal tower in the Gothic style. The tower is decorated with a crest and a crenellated cornice. In addition to the mansion, on the territory of Mysovo there were a stable and six wooden houses for guests.
Kuznetsov left the estate after the October Revolution, going abroad. Today, a branch of the local history museum is opened in his mansion. The park created by Kuznetsov also continues to exist. The landscape design has undergone changes, but the ancient alleys and ponds have remained intact. Mysovo Park is often visited by connoisseurs of natural beauty and ancient architecture.
Manor Lipovka
- Coordinates on the map: 55.924311, 37.583493.
In 1908, on the territory of the modern Mytishchi district, architect I.V. Zholtovsky built a magnificent mansion. The owner of this creation was the merchant Alekseev, which explains the second name of the estate “Lipki-Alekseevskie”.
The manor house is made of brick in the Baroque style. It is decorated with an attic, antique columns, a balustrade with figured columns and a magnificent balcony. The complex also included stables, outbuildings with galleries, gazebos and an arched bridge spanning a park pond. The main entrance was “guarded” by a pair of marble lions. The last owner of the estate was the manufacturer A. Ruperti, who bought it in 1893.
After the October Revolution, the estate was nationalized. In 1933, it became the property of Stalin, who used it as a country dacha. Since 1989, the former estate has been occupied by the children's department of the cancer center.
Pilgrimage tourism in Dolgoprudny
The basis for pilgrimage tourism in Dolgoprudny are numerous temples and chapels. Some of them are newly built, while others are older than the city itself.
Church of the Transfiguration
- Address: Dirizhabelnaya st., 2.
The church was built in 2001. Its peculiarity lies in the fact that when preparing the project, the architect was inspired by Novgorod architecture of the 11th-12th centuries. Because of this, the young church has an old, historical appearance.
The cubic-shaped building ends with strict gables on four sides. The light drum and apse are covered with helmet-shaped domes. Another characteristic feature of the Novgorod medieval style is the high basement.
The window openings are deep and narrow. The staircase with arched openings at the base attracts attention. It merges with the belfry, crowned with a dark dome with a cross. The church has a children's Sunday school and a printing house that publishes the monthly magazine "Vestnik".
Temple of St. George the Victorious
- Address: Likhachevsky Prospekt, 19.
The first mention of St. George's Church dates back to the 16th century. It was located on the territory of the village of Gnilushi, which was owned by Prince P.I. Tateev. It is impossible to trace the exact history of the temple, because... in 1812, French soldiers burned chronicles with information about the parish.
The temple was rebuilt many times. In the middle of the 19th century, it was a wooden quadrangle on a brick base. The roof was made of iron, as was the dome with an openwork cross. The three-tier iconostasis consisted of ancient icons. It was decorated with gilding and carvings.
The temple survived the revolution of 1917 and continued to operate until 1961, when it was closed, but preserved as a monument of wooden architecture.
The original building has not survived to this day. Today, its log copy stands on the edge of the Likhachevsky cemetery. A brick bell tower rises nearby. In front of the entrance to the temple you can see an ancient bell - this is all that remains of the original Church of St. George the Victorious.
Temple of the Savior Not Made by Hands in Kotovo
- Address: Parkovaya street, 1.
The first Church of the Savior Not Made by Hands was built in 1684 in the village of Kotovo. The initiative belonged to Prince I.B. Repnin. The temple is made of stone in the style of Russian architecture. The western volume ends with a gable; on the façade you can see a fresco of the icon of the Savior Not Made by Hands. The eastern volume is crowned with a blank drum with a dark head and decorated with kokoshniks. A tented bell tower rises nearby.
In the 1730s, the village came into the possession of the Yusupov princes. In 1772, Boris Yusupov’s daughter, Anna, died. The prince ordered to bury her in the crypt of the Vladimir limit of the Church of the Savior Not Made by Hands. This is how the family tomb of the Yusupov family was founded. In 1788, Boris Grigorievich’s wife found peace next to her daughter. Bronze tombstones on their graves have survived to this day.
The temple operated until 1934. During the Soviet period, it was subjected to destruction and looting. The bell tower, domes and platbands were completely destroyed. A boiler room was placed in the crypt, but the burials were not damaged. Subsequently, factories for the production of matches, buttons, soap, as well as a printing house were located in the former temple.
The revival of the temple began in 1991. The building was subject to large-scale restoration, during which the original layout was restored. Today the temple looks almost the same as in its youth. It regularly hosts services, Sunday school and theological courses, and also hosts Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh
- Address: Zelenaya st., 4.
The Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh was built recently, but embodied the features of ancient Russian architecture. The two-story log house ends with a six-story structure with a high tent. Next to it is a belfry with wooden posts.
The building is decorated with cornices with lace carvings, traditional platbands and columns. The sound holes in the tent are decorated with gold trim. The church is a copy of an ancient building that stood on this site from the end of the 19th century to 1930.
