The main attractions of Novokubansk

At the end of the nineteenth century, a stud farm appeared, called “Voskhod”, which has survived to this day. The stud farm has become famous throughout the country and all thanks to its horses participating in international competitions. It is impossible not to mention the cognac factory, founded more than a century ago. It produces alcoholic drinks of excellent quality. And we are talking not only about cognac, but also brandy. When producing alcoholic beverages, the plant uses classic French technology. In addition to regular cognacs, the range also includes vintage and collection cognacs, aged from 3 to 40 years.

Another interesting Novokuban attraction, we are talking about a house that belonged to the landowner Zakhar Shcherbak. It was erected in 1905. In those days it was the most respectable house in the village. The owner of the estate was the grandfather of the famous Soviet writer A. Solzhenitsyn. This is the writer's home. He lived in Novokubansk during his childhood. At that time, there was a fountain in the area adjacent to the house, and the building itself was surrounded by beautiful gardens with alleys. The future young Soviet writer liked to spend time in these places. Later, he described in detail his stay in Novokubansk in his work “August the Fourteenth.” The family of Z. Shcherbak was subjected to repression during the Soviet years, the estate was confiscated and the house was looted. Almost nothing remains of the original splendor. Only in 1981, the building, together with the adjacent territory, was taken under protection and turned into a historical and architectural monument. After 23 years, the family nest was transferred to the Holy Intercession Church; Solzhenitsyn himself made such a request to the authorities, and they granted it.

Nowadays, services are held in this wonderful place and a Sunday school operates. There are plans to create a museum in honor of the Soviet writer. It is recommended that everyone who comes to Novokubansk visit the ancient building that belonged to the Solzhenitsyn family. The list of attractions recommended for visiting can be continued with the Church of St. John the Evangelist. We recommend paying special attention to the domes, three of which are gold and one blue. It looks very unusual. There are interesting places not only in Novokubansk itself, but also in its surroundings. For example, mysterious mounds. Those interested in mysterious phenomena will be able to see strange circles in local fields. Every year, various pictograms with circles are formed in the vicinity of the settlement. No one can give an exact explanation of the origin of these figures, not even scientists. And tourists come here for various purposes, including out of curiosity. The steppe expanses of the Novokubansky region are fascinating.

A tour of the local history museum, created in 1976, will be educational. It boasts an extensive numismatic collection. It houses works by local artists and several archaeological artifacts. Novokubansk once again proves that there are still craftsmen in Russia. One of the local residents turned his son's dream into reality. He managed to assemble a transformer car. This is the first and so far the only car in the Russian Federation that can transform into an Autobot in a matter of minutes. Local craftsman Sergei Kocherga spent about 6 months assembling the robot. There are generally many outstanding personalities in the Krasnodar region.
