Holidays in Yeisk with children in 2022: beaches, entertainment, accommodation and prices

You are here: Yeysk-on-More › Beaches and entertainment

Guests of our city often ask me the question: in which area and near which beach is it better to rent housing?

Everyone knows that there are no comrades according to taste and color.

Many people would like to live near the sea, and at the same time be close to the city center and parks with all the entertainment. In addition, everyone has their own vacation budget, which plays an important role in choosing the appropriate option.

A little more detail about everything on this page.

Infrastructure. Where to rent housing

The length of this Yeisk beach is about 500 m, it is ideal for families with children, although the town also has recreation centers with the unfounded names Melyaki and Children’s. They are waiting for you here:

  • The ideal coating is golden soft sand interspersed with shells.
  • Excellent entry into the sea - gentle, flat, sandy.
  • Not very deep - you will need to go to a level of 1.5-1.7 m.

A comfortable stay is ensured by exceptional equipment. Visitors can use changing cabins, sun umbrellas, rental of sun loungers, sun loungers and other necessary equipment, water attractions, a rescue center, a medical office and toilets.

There are shopping arcades nearby. In addition to traditional souvenirs, here you will buy inflatable mattresses and rings, swimsuits and pareos, towels and slippers, Panama hats, snacks, the latest newspapers - in general, everything you need for your vacation. It’s easy to hide from the bright sun on the central alley by walking among the spreading trees or taking a sunbed in their shade.

The water warms up well, so even in early June it is difficult to find free places on the Yeisk City Beach. During the day, holidaymakers here bask in the sun, swim in the clear sea, try extreme entertainment, and in the evening they enjoy the sunset and visit one of the restaurants or nightclubs located near the shore. Here are the most popular beach cafes:

  • "Asteria";
  • "People's Canteen"
  • "Grill"

Other establishments that can be highlighted are “At the Melnik”, “Veterok” and “Cubanos”, “Tornado”. There are more than a dozen small eateries and kebab shops along the edge, and almost every large cafe organizes incendiary discos in the evening. Tourists should definitely try the famous Yeisk kvass: there are plenty of stalls selling the foamy drink.

Hotels and inns to stay

There are also no problems with housing in the Yeisk Beach area. There is a private sector nearby, where you can inexpensively rent a room or an entire house. But the following tourist centers and hotels are especially popular:

"Asteria". At your service there is Wi-Fi, parking, a cafe and a bar. The cozy rooms of the boarding house are equipped with modern furniture and appliances.

"New." Guests are accommodated in cozy, stylish rooms with a private bathroom. The main advantage is the proximity to the main entertainment infrastructure and the beach.

"Babylon". The hotel's rooms are decorated in light colors. On the hotel territory there is a club with a disco, a cafeteria, a pub and a shop, and the Internet is available.

"Sail". The hotel complex consists of two residential buildings. Two swimming pools, playgrounds, bars, restaurants, gazebos and a windsurfing school are open to guests.

The list of other accommodation options includes , “Savva” and “Sand Spit”.

Description of the beach

The beach's surface is a mixture of pebbles, stones, shells and sand: depending on the specific location, it can be either soft sandy shells or almost completely rocky. There are also sandy and rocky areas on the seabed, so it is better to be careful when entering the water, especially if you are in this place for the first time.

The entrance to the water is gentle, the depth, as on almost the entire Azov coast, increases gradually and slowly.

“Obryv” is the most remote beach of Yeysk and there is no infrastructure on it, that is, you will not find any changing cabins, toilets, or any points selling goods or offering services here.

Yeisk city beach - entertainment and leisure

The oldest, but at the same time the most developed, beautiful and well-maintained line by the sea in the city of Yeysk is the Central City Beach. Its arrangement is suitable for adults and children. There is plenty of fun on the water here:

  • Banana riding, skiing, boating;
  • Kitesurfing and bungee lessons;
  • Hire of hydro scooters and boats;
  • Parasailing and water slides.

For fashionistas, there are tents on the shore where you can braid real African braids or apply temporary tattoos - mehendi - to your skin with henna. Kids will enjoy a ride on an exotic camel and a dressed-up pirate, with whom everyone can take photos for a nominal fee. Open near the beach:

  • Yacht Club;
  • Billiard center;
  • Tennis court;
  • Beach volleyball area;
  • Air hockey;
  • Children's town with attractions;
  • Shooting gallery

One of the advantages of Central is its proximity to entertainment complexes. Nearby is the “VAP Entertainment Factory” - a family recreation center for visitors of all ages. There is a Ferris wheel here, which, according to tourists, offers the best view of Yeysk, an autodrome, carousels, a computer club, a playground, and trampolines. There is also constant children's animation, discos for holidaymakers of all ages, a café-bar and a canteen.

From the Central Beach you can go on a boat trip along the Yeisk Estuary: travelers will see a magnificent panorama of the endless expanse of the sea and the coastline of the resort. The boat trip also includes a visit to the island, where it is easy to relax and sunbathe for a while.

Climate and seasonality of holidays

The climate in Yeisk is considered dry, so the summer heat is more easily tolerated here than on the Black Sea coast.

The beach holiday season begins in May, when good sunny weather sets in. At the beginning of the month the sea is still cool - +17...+18 °C, but by mid-May the water temperature has already increased to approximately +20 °C. This time is good for relaxing with small children; they acclimatize more easily, and you can sunbathe comfortably without fear of getting burned.

In June it is already quite hot, the average temperature during the day is +25…+30 °C, the sea gradually warms up to +24 °C. The hottest month in Yeisk is July, when the water temperature is set at +28…+29 °C. During this period, it is better to choose the time for a beach holiday in the morning (before 12 noon), or after 15–16 hours.

In mid-August, the velvet season begins - the excessive heat subsides, the air becomes fresher and cooler, but the sea is still warm. It does not last very long, because Yeysk is the northernmost city of the Krasnodar Territory - and, as a rule, after September 10, the weather here becomes autumn-like cool.

Of course, you can take our equipment and go to the central beach. Place a tent there, between sunbathing neighbors and sit next to it in a folding chair... But you are unlikely to enjoy such a vacation! Not to mention the obvious dissatisfaction of your neighbors on the beach... Therefore, we recommend choosing two types of camping places: these should be either sparsely populated (wild) places, or places where “tent camps” are already popular and familiar. Further in this section we will try to describe all the places suitable for relaxing with a tent in the city of Yeisk and the region.

In Yeysk, from Vista beach to the village. Marine Taganrog Bay

ON THE MAP
If you don’t want to travel far, you can spend the night with a tent within the city. If you walk/drive along the shore for about 500 m, from Vista beach towards the village. Marine, then a small planting of trees will begin. Kebab-makers often rest there and often spend the night in tents.

Pros: + Availability. You can quickly arrive by car, bicycle or even on foot. Cons: - Not comfortable to swim - shallow, shore and bottom - pebbles/stones; - Crowded. Cars and pedestrians often pass by.

Yeysk, village Marine (~ 2 km) Taganrog Bay

ON THE MAP

The coast near the village of Morskoy is a little further, but if you wish, you can easily get there from Yeisk on foot along the coast. There you can sit on the beach, under the slope of a clay cliff, or if swimming in the sea is not part of your plans, then you can go up and set up camp at the top, among the grass and tree plantings. By the way, you can also get to the top by car (go towards the Glubina water park). Well, or by bus route No. 1 to the village. Sea and further on foot.

Pros: + It’s not so crowded here anymore and you can easily find secluded places; + The beach is sandy and shell-like. Cons: — The sea is shallow and when there is a wave it is always dirty due to many areas with a muddy bottom; - Place yourself with caution both below and above! There is a threat of the mountain collapsing;

Woods near the village. Shirochanka (~ 5 km) Yeisk estuary

ON THE MAP

Outside the swimming season or when swimming is simply not part of your plans, you can organize an overnight stay in the “forest” with a rather picturesque view. A good option for pitching a tent would be a dense forest near the village of Shirochanka, which is located on a hill above the Yeisk Estuary. You can also take a walk in the other direction from the “forest” along the hill there will be many trees and suitable places. The sea (estuary) here is very shallow, the entrance and bottom are sand, shells, stones - not the best option for swimming, but more than suitable for walking, grilling meat and fishing...

Pros: + Dense forest and shade of trees; + View from the mountain to the estuary and Yeisk; Cons: — Estuary, not suitable for swimming; — The place is not wild, pedestrians can walk; — Proximity to railway tracks. Very rarely, but trains passing by can still make noise. — When there is a wave, the water in the estuary may have dirty shades;

Coast near the village. Aleksandrovka (~ 10 km) Yeisk estuary

ON THE MAP

As in the village. Shirochanka this place is not very suitable for swimming; the estuary here is shallow and rocky. But for a picnic, barbecue and perhaps fishing, it is quite suitable. If you drive in a calm weather, the view of the estuary can be very attractive, but alas, it is not here as often as we would like. Here you will find a lot of interesting places to set up a tent, both on a grassy hill and under a tree 2 meters from the water.

Pros: + Large selection of places, many trees; + Sparsely crowded and rarely passing cars, even in high season; + Access to the water by car; Cons: — Estuary, not suitable for swimming; — When there is a wave, the water in the estuary may have dirty shades;

Dolzhanskaya Spit (~ 40 km) Taganrog Bay or Sea of Azov

ON THE MAP

By far the most popular place in the area! Both among “tent lovers” and among lovers of ordinary beach holidays... The northern part of the village of Dolzhanskaya is washed by the same Taganrog Bay, and the southwestern part is located in the open Sea of Azov. But despite this, the water can be perfectly clean on both sides. In the calm from the side of the bay, the views of the sea are no worse, but alas, the sunsets delight with their picturesque views only those vacationing from the side of the Azov Sea...

In Dolzhanskaya, camping in tents is very popular and you can set up camping in tents almost anywhere you want. A significant part of Dolzhanskaya is occupied by paid tent campsites, for a place in which you will have to pay from 500 rubles per day. But for this, you will receive awnings, toilets, showers and other “bonuses” of civilized camping. You can get there by private car, bus from Yeisk No. 121, or order a transfer from us.

Pros: + Excellent sea! Clear water, good depth and entrance, sandy shell beach and bottom; + Large area, if you search you can find great places; + Infrastructure. Improved beaches, buoys, cafes, water attractions. Cons: - Popularity. During the season, many Dolzhanskaya beaches are packed with vacationers. - Not a wild holiday. Noisy, crowded, beer/corn sellers during the day, music in the cafe at night, etc. — Most of the territory has been purchased by commercial campsites. You can only drive your car to the beach and pitch a tent for a fee.

Kamyshevat Spit (~ 45 km) Sea of Azov

ON THE MAP

Great place for camping. A large wild beach - not popular, uncrowded and clean. After a little driving, anyone will find a place for themselves here. You can take a place under the trees at the beginning of the spit, it is convenient to stay there with children because The sea here is shallow. If you drive further away there are no more trees, but closer to the end of the spit, you can find the sea depth sufficient for adults. At the beginning of the spit, the shore is sand and small shell rock, but towards the end of the spit only mountains of solid shells remain. The bottom is muddy in places but rarely, mostly sand.

Pros: + Not crowded; + Large area for choosing a location; + There are very beautiful views of the sea when it is calm; + Wild fauna. At the end of the spit, there is a small bird island inhabited by seagulls, ducks, herons and other species of birds. Dolphins often swim along the spit. Cons: - The sea at the beginning of the spit is shallow (“waist-deep”) and the depth appears only closer to the end of the spit; — At the beginning of the spit, where there are trees, local farmers sometimes drive their cattle (horses/cows) to the sea; — Insects can be annoying in calm weather; we recommend taking a tent with a mosquito net; — To get to the end of the spit, you will have to drive several kilometers along a bumpy road.

Yasenskaya crossing (~ 45 km) Sea of Azov

ON THE MAP

Another good place for camping! For this place, it’s crowded when you see at least someone in the distance on both sides... On a large beach area, finding a secluded place “without prying eyes” is not at all difficult! The beach is located along the road, but the road is separated by planting trees, so if you wish, you will always find shade and brushwood. The shore is sandstone and shell rock, but the sea here is not deep, the bottom is muddy in places. It’s a good option for children, but we would recommend for adults to stay closer to the Yasenskaya crossing so they can go swimming at the local beach. There the water is cleaner and the depth is normal and the bottom is sandy, but this beach will be more crowded.

Pros: + Not crowded; + Large area for choosing a place. Cons: — The sea is shallow, there are a lot of muddy pieces of the bottom; — In calm conditions near trees, insects may disturb you at night;

“Moscow-Donbass” beach (~ 45 km) Sea of Azov

ON THE MAP

Secret beach! =)

Even many locals don’t know about it! The most little-known and, as a result, less crowded, even at the height of the summer season. We ourselves often vacation there, so we wouldn’t want to popularize it or publicly announce it. But we can tell our clients who are interested in it how to find it...

Pros: + No connection! At all! No! A real wild holiday! + THE CLEANEST WATER! + A little-known, therefore sparsely populated place; + For both children and adults! There are places with depth, there are places where the maximum is “waist-deep”; + Dolphins often swim along the spit. Cons: - No connection! At all! How to live? =) — Half the way you need to drive through dusty fields. The road is well-trodden and quite acceptable, but you will definitely need to wash your car;

Hotels with meals for families with children

How to get to Yeysk

There are several ways to get to Yeysk, it all depends on your preferences and budget for the trip. For example:

  • Air travel;
  • By train;
  • By bus;
  • By personal or rented car.

A separate point worth highlighting is the transfer. Today this service is in good demand. A car of the selected category will be waiting for you at the railway station, bus station or airport and will comfortably deliver you to your location.

To Yeysk by plane

There are two ways to fly to Yeysk:

  • Via Rostov-on-Don;
  • Through Krasnodar, the capital of Kuban.

Where to look for air tickets?

I recommend looking for flight tickets here

Trains, buses and taxis run from the airport to the city itself. You can rent a car in Yeysk and then travel with it.

To Yeysk by train

You can get to Yeysk by direct routes or with transfers. Direct flights depart from Moscow and St. Petersburg. Starominskaya junction station is located 70 km from the city, so we continue on by commuter train.

  • Electric train schedule to Yeisk

To Yeysk by bus

You can comfortably and relatively quickly get to Yeysk from Moscow by tourist bus. In the cabin: comfortable soft seats, air conditioning, TV, player, refrigerator and even a toilet.

Travel time is about 17 hours; the flight delay can only be caused by an unforeseen situation on the road and unfavorable weather conditions.

  • Bus schedule Moscow – Yeisk

To Yeysk by car

I always give preference to a personal car. With the advent of the tourist season, prices for bus, air and train tickets increase significantly. And there may not be any convenient places. And with a car you will save time, nerves and money.

You will be driving along the M4 Don highway through Rostov. By the way, if you need a place to spend the night, I recommend the Eurasia-Aksakay motel. Affordable prices, good cuisine and comfortable rooms. Next you follow to Aksai, Kushchevskaya and through Starominskaya to Yeysk.

Things to do

There are many pleasant places for walks in Yeysk - a well-kept embankment, two large parks and a beautiful pedestrian street next to the market. There is plenty of entertainment too! When vacationing with children in Yeisk, tourists enjoy going to the Shark Reef aquarium, the dolphinarium, the Nemo water park and the Kubansky Khutor ethnographic museum.

There are attractions in city parks - a trampoline and slides cost 350 rubles. Go to the rope park, look at Yeysk from the Ferris wheel and admire the sunset on the seashore! Especially popular among children is Crocodile Canyon, a farm where you can see live crocodiles, snakes, scorpions and turtles.

Water park "Nemo" in Yeysk.

Where can you save money?

In general, Yeysk is an economy class resort city. Local residents treat visitors kindly. The local population is not spoiled by money. Accordingly, the prices here are pleasantly surprising. If you want to save money, then it is better to live in the private sector. A room per night costs from 100 to 200 rubles. Hotels are available everywhere, and if the rooms are without any frills, the prices are also very affordable. But there are, of course, luxury options.

Public transport is well developed. There are minibuses that travel around the city for 5 rubles, regular methane buses for 3 rubles, but they are big. From any part of the city there is certainly a route to the market. The Central Market is the place where all city life is concentrated in the morning. Buying groceries is not a problem here. The meat on the market is fresh, fresh and inexpensive, but a wise person must buy it, otherwise they can slip you anything they want. Fruits and vegetables are sold in abundance. Prices “for our own people” and for visitors differ by approximately half, but it’s still nice to buy a kilogram of young cherries for 40 rubles, and a kilogram of cherries for 20. A portion of shish kebab can be purchased for 50-70 rubles (on the Black Sea - rubles for 120- 200). And in a local restaurant for 150 rubles you can “burst twice.”

Winemaking and wine drinking are very developed among the indigenous population. The range of wines sold by the glass covers the entire coast and all of Krasnodar, as well as Georgia and other adjacent regions. If in a small cellar you see a modest inscription “wines by the glass”, be sure that here you will find at least fifty varieties.

The local cuisine is also quite unique. Usually residents of Yerevan make everything for themselves - cutlets, dumplings, and kebab. The food here is thick and fatty, and the salt is eaten almost by the spoonful. The restaurants mostly serve not local Krasnodar cuisine, but Tatar or Kazakh cuisine. In general, you can “catch” food anywhere, inexpensively and tasty.

Where to eat deliciously and inexpensively in Yeysk

In recent years, Yeysk has become much better in terms of public catering facilities. Excellent colorful establishments have appeared. Small cafes and fast food outlets with shawarma are still in the lead, as they offer inexpensive food. At the same time, local entrepreneurs create better conditions for tourists by opening cozy restaurants.

The resort is a real paradise for connoisseurs of Caucasian and Kuban cuisine. Restaurants serving Caucasian cuisine serve meat cooked over an open fire. In establishments with a Kuban menu you can taste borscht, stanitsa-style dumplings and, of course, the famous “farm cutlet”. Pubs with a large assortment of foaming drinks are becoming increasingly popular. Prices, as at any resort in Russia, are different. It will be expensive and not very tasty near the beach areas. So it is better to eat away from them.

Pages of history

We should start with Peter the Great. This advanced autocrat accomplished many good deeds, but for the fact that he won sea coasts with a pleasant warm climate for Russia - special thanks to him on behalf of all vacationers. Until the beginning of the 18th century, Russia was cut off from the warm seas by Turkish possessions. The first victory on the way to the sea shores was the capture of the Turkish fortress of Azov. This was the beginning of Russia's transformation into a maritime power: the construction of harbors and port cities began, and the construction of a navy began.

The city of Yeysk (named after the Yeya River, which flows into the Taganrog Bay), was also founded as a port city of the Azov Sea. This town did not arise out of nowhere: since the 80s of the 18th century, there was a fortification of the Crimean Khan here. The place turned out to be very convenient for further development. The initiative to found a port city here belonged to Prince Mikhail Vorontsov, governor of the Caucasus. By decree of Emperor Nicholas I, the city of Yeisk was founded in the spring of 1848 at the base of a long spit separating the Taganrog Bay and the Yeisk Estuary. Its official opening took place in August of the same year. The development plan for Yeisk was carefully thought out, the city's infrastructure met the most advanced requirements of the time: a power plant, electric street lighting, telephone communications, the pavements were carefully paved with stone.

The first townspeople were immigrants from the Stavropol, Kursk, and Poltava provinces. Already in 1849, the Yeisk port began to function. At the beginning of the twentieth century, more than four million tons of various cargoes, mainly wheat, were exported through it annually. In 1911, a railway was brought to the city. Yeysk is growing and soon becomes a real cultural center of the South of Russia. The resort business is actively developing here. Reserves of hydrogen sulfide water and healing mud were discovered - and a balneological resort immediately opened in the city (which exists to this day).

Yeysk is chosen as a vacation spot by many artists, writers, and painters, including Kazimir Malevich, who, according to legend, painted scenery for the local theater for his own pleasure. Cultural life in a small town boils like a cauldron. Several local newspapers are published, amateur concerts and performances are held, and the Society of Lovers of Fine Arts is organized.

The history of Yeisk had both its heroic and sad pages. The city suffered greatly during the Crimean War from the shelling of the Anglo-French squadron. The English troops landed in the city, but were defeated by the Cossacks and the city militia. During the Civil War, power in the city repeatedly changed hands. During the Great Patriotic War, more than 15 thousand citizens fought on all fronts, and the Azov military flotilla was based in Yeysk itself. Then, for a year and a half, the city was under enemy occupation, and its inhabitants suffered a lot of suffering. After the war, the city takes a long time to come to its senses, gradually recovering, improving, and growing.

Today's Yeysk residents (that's what the residents of Yeysk call themselves) are proud that their small seaside town has given Russia many outstanding personalities. These are people of science and art, cosmonauts, famous athletes, including Ivan Poddubny, six-time world champion in classical wrestling, and Sergei Bondarchuk, actor and director, whose film “War and Peace” was the first among domestic films to receive an Oscar.
