Beach for nudists in Dzhubga (on Mount Yozhik)
Just a kilometer from the Central Beach there is an undeveloped recreation area. Here the sea is full of stones and boulders, so it’s hard to imagine what’s going on on the seabed. The beach cover consists of large pebbles.
There is no infrastructure. But there is beautiful nature, sun, silence and warm sea. This place was chosen by lovers of camping with tents and nudists. It’s wonderful to relax away from civilization, practically without leaving its borders.
From here you can clearly see Mount Hedgehog, you can take interesting photos and just take a break from everyday affairs. If you look closely, the mountain really resembles a Hedgehog who came to the sea to drink water. Children will be delighted with this discovery, but it is better not to go to the wild beach with them.
Blue Bay beach in Dzhubga photo

Boat trip to Inal Bay
One of the most interesting attractions in Dzhubga is a boat excursion to Inal Bay. From the central pier of the village, a boat departs twice a day for an excursion to the source of Blue Mud to Inal Bay. During the walk, the guide will tell you interesting facts about the Black Sea coast.
Right in the middle of the bay there is a small lake with healing clay that was mixed with spring water. Blue clay baths have a rejuvenating effect. Clay also has a good effect on blood circulation and cleanses the skin.
You can get there by bus from Dzhubga. Access to the lake with healing baths is absolutely free. Mud pushes a person's body to the surface, so it is impossible to drown in it. Very often local residents come to teach small children to swim. After mud treatments, vacationers can go down to the beach and wash off the mud into the sea.

What to do in Dzhubga in June?
Naturally, everyone goes to the sea for “sea and sun.” Beaches in Dzhubga
wide sandy and sandy-pebble.
You can diversify your beach holiday with excursions and walks in the surrounding area. And the surrounding area is very picturesque, because the village is surrounded by huge forests and mountains, and the rivers Dzhubga, Kozlenkova Gap and Azarenskaya Gap flow through the village itself.
On a pleasant afternoon you can take a walk to Snake Gorge
. We can say that this place is a kind of gathering place for creative, informal people, bards, hitchhikers. Here, since the end of May, a tent city has been set up where all these comrades live, and in the evenings it can be very interesting and fun. By the way, it’s clear why this gorge was called the snake gorge, but you won’t find snakes here.
If you plan to live in tents, and you have children with you, then I don’t recommend choosing Snake Gorge - it’s not suitable for children.
But as an excursion site, Snake Gorge is quite suitable. You can also go to Cape Shapsukho
, located 2 km southeast. It looks like a piece of land that cuts into a river (of the same name). This cape is located at an altitude of 677 meters - one might say it is a mountain peak.
It is located between the Rattled Gap and the river.
The river valley was the original place of residence of the Circassian Shapsug tribe - that’s why both the river and the cape were named so. The nature on this cape is extremely picturesque - you need to see it with your own eyes! , the Dzhubga water park begins operating in the village.
. This water park seems to be the largest in the Tuapse region. I won’t tell you what kind of slides there are - the story will be too long. But the water park is very decent. The water park is located on Novorossiysk Highway, building 10-A. In the evenings, already in June, foam parties begin to be held here - naturally, entertainment for adults.
You can also go to the museum “Wonders of the Forest”
, which is on Chernomorskaya street. The museum is located in the same place where the famous local woodcarver Anton Mikhailovich Gzhelak lived and worked. The museum is easy to spot: right in front of the house there is a wooden sculpture of an eight-meter dinosaur. The museum has two exhibitions: the first is the master’s personal belongings, and the second is his work, which includes about 1,500 of a wide variety of wooden figurines.
You can go to the expanses of the Tenginsky pass
. From the center of Dzhubga to this pass is no more than 20 minutes drive. Even the locals don’t really know the many mysterious roads in these beautiful places – but it’s definitely worth visiting.
Behind the village of Tenginka, plateaus begin, which used to be fields on which Cossack soldiers, who settled on these lands after the Caucasian War, sowed rye. Now wild apple and pear orchards still grow on flat ground - wonderful memories of the first settlers. Today, at the foot of the pass, screeching groups of vacationers sometimes ride in UAZs. The pass itself consists of huge massifs of sandstone - these are stones that were brought here by a glacier that slid down from the Ural Mountains during the great glaciation. There is a place to rest near the rocks, there are trash cans and even logs to make a fire. Somewhere in the valley there is an amazing apiary with beekeepers who will tell you about the history of the area something that cannot be read in any book. In general, the nature there is simply incredible, no people, no garbage, although the roads are not always convenient - but it’s worth it!
If crawling through the mountains and exploring untrodden paths is a little lazy for you, and you prefer “ready-made adventures,” then contact a tour agency. There you will be offered excellent excursions around the Tuapse region and not only
:
a trip by boat to the Blue Bay (this is also in the Dzhubga area), mud baths made of blue clay in Inal Bay, Heliot Falls with caves, sightseeing tours of neighboring cities (for example, to Gelendzhik with wine tasting, to Novorossiysk, Tuapse, Sochi and etc.), a trip to Lake Abrau with a visit to the wines, a trip to the Pshada dolmens, the Gebeus waterfalls and the Three Sisters waterfalls, a jeep trip to the Lago-Naki plateau, a trip to the village of Loo (this is a village near Sochi) with a visit to the Byzantine temple , to the valley of the Ashe River with a visit to waterfalls and caves, as well as horseback riding and trips to water parks
. But, as for me, you can do all these tours on your own and without any guides - by car (and sometimes by bicycle) or on regular buses.

History of the village
When talking about interesting places in Russia, one cannot fail to mention the village of Dzhubga. Sights, excursions and trips around this city are in one way or another connected with its history.
And the very name of the settlement comes from antiquity; translated from the Adyghe language it means “valley of the winds.” Although there are other translations: “flat place”, “place where the fog spreads” and even “night beauty”.
The village of Dzhubga was founded at the mouth of the river in 1864, after the eviction of the indigenous inhabitants - the Shapsugs. The village was the headquarters of the Shapsug coastal battalion.
Initially, about 360 people (65 families) lived here. Nowadays the Stanichka microdistrict is located in these places. After the liquidation of the battalion in 1870, the settlement was renamed the village of Dzhubga, which later became a village.
By 1905, the village consisted of 74 households of Russian peasants. The main impetus for the development of the village was the construction of a port by the Crimean-Caucasian Shipping Company. Customs, post office, telegraph and visiting summer residents appeared in the settlement.
In 1935, a holiday home was opened in Dzhubga. At the same time, a park was founded, which adorns the village to this day. And in 1966, the settlement was given the status of a resort village.
The coast of Dzhubga is located between Cape Shapsho and the town of Hedgehog, which, according to the plan, actually looks like a prickly animal.
Inal Bay itself received its name in honor of the first Christian preacher who appeared on the Black Sea coast in the 5th century. Little is known about his fate.

Railway stations
You can also come to the village of Dzhubga on vacation by fast train from any corner of the country. The nearest stations are in Tuapse and the city of Goryachiy Klyuch. From them to the village it is about 55 km.
Bigius waterfalls
These waterfalls were given 2 more names: Gebius and Tesheb. Nature placed the waterfalls near the villages of Bzhid and Teshebs, a 40-minute walk. Here begins the subtropical zone, which is characterized by lush vegetation and natural jungle. Cascades of water reach a height of 15 m.
The route for tourists follows a path with stairs on the mountain slopes and bridges at river crossing points. Along the way there will be a gazebo for relaxation, cafes and kebab shops.
Tour guides call this area the Mill Gap, which contains deposits of blue clay in the bed of a mountain stream. The beautiful legend of Dzhubga
There is a sad legend about the name of the Dzhubga River. In ancient times, a noble Shapsug lived in these parts, who had a beautiful daughter, Dzhubga. The father allowed the girl to walk in the garden only at night, so that no man could see her dazzling beauty. Many wooed her, but her father refused all the suitors. One day a young man snuck into the garden and kidnapped the beauty. The loving couple disappeared into the mountains. But her father tracked them down and killed her husband, and forcibly took Dzhubga away. Heartbroken, the “night beauty” threw herself from a cliff into the river, which began to be called by her name.
According to an old legend, the village of Dzhubga, the sights of which are now known far beyond the borders of the region, arose after a truce between warring Adyghe tribes. In honor of this, a feast was held at which the elder broke a jug for good luck. By his decree, a village named Bzhid (“broken vessel”) appeared in this place.
Architectural highlights and monuments of Tuapse
Among all the interesting things that experienced travelers recommend to see in Tuapse, several buildings and monuments stand out. Their visit is included in any excursion program.
Bus station building
Address: st. Marshala Zhukova, 6. Bus station bus stop.
The bus station building is rightfully considered one of the architectural symbols of Tuapse. The picturesque mansion, built in 1913, immediately catches your eye. Its blue and white facade is richly decorated with carved elements, somewhat reminiscent of Arabic script. Above the large arched window of the central portal, two turrets rise, as if copied from illustrations to “1000 and One Nights”. The composition is completed by a small fountain “Lighthouse”, emitting geysers in a cozy park laid out in front of the building.
Singing fountain
Address: Morskoy Boulevard. Transport stop "GDK".
The newest of the four iconic Tuapse fountains, commissioned in the spring of 2012. According to modern urban planning fashion, it does not have a traditional bowl. The pool, with 200 vents emitting jets of water built into its bottom, is located below ground level. Therefore, to the delight of children and holidaymakers languishing in the summer heat, you can even walk between the geysers. The water emission control system allows you to change the height of the jets to the beat of the music, and thoughtful lighting helps create a magical extravaganza of myriads of sprays when darkness falls. By the way, the maximum height of the fountain geyser can reach 18 m.
Hill of heroes
Address: st. Poletaeva. Transport stop "GDK".
The grand opening of the memorial in honor of the defenders of Tuapse took place in the spring of 1965. The location for it was not chosen by chance. At the top of the hill dominating the central part of the city, during the Caucasian Wars there was a fort called Velyaminov. During the Second World War, anti-aircraft gunners fired at the enemy from here. The steps of a stone staircase-alley lined with evergreen trees lead to the memorial. The architectural complex of Gorki includes granite pylons on which the names of fallen heroes are extruded, a monument to anti-aircraft gunners, sculptures of a liberating soldier and a grieving mother, the torch of the Eternal Flame, and the Alexievsky Temple.
Obelisk to the Fighters for Soviet Power
Address: October Revolution Square. Transport stop "Marine Station".
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution, a monument dedicated to the freedom fighters of the working people appeared in Tuapse. The height of the triangular obelisk, symbolizing a bayonet, is 21 m. The base of the pillar is decorated with high reliefs on revolutionary themes. The attitude of Tuapse residents towards monuments of the historical past can be set as an example for residents of many other cities. During the turbulent years of perestroika, the monument was not destroyed. Moreover, already in 2012, the square named after the revolution, where the obelisk stands, was decorated with additional illumination. In the evenings the composition looks excellent.
Sundial
Address: Morskoy Boulevard. Transport stop "Marine Station".
There are several interesting art objects on the Tuapse embankment, among which the Parus Sundial stands out. The background to their appearance in the city is very interesting. Initially, the installation was supposed to add to the list of Vyborg attractions. However, the project was implemented in Tuapse. Now, on a clear, sunny day, anyone can check their watch with a natural chronometer, the accuracy of which is guaranteed by the luminary.
