The capital of the Black Earth Region has many places where you can have fun and exciting leisure time with the whole family. There are many entertainment complexes built here where you can go with your child in Voronezh in order to have an active and useful rest. There are plenty of options for organizing holidays and holidays in the city. You just need to plan your route in advance. Then you won’t need to waste time searching and choosing interesting events.

Where to take a walk with your child in Voronezh: city parks

City parks are considered the best places for walking with children. There are many of these in Voronezh. In most of them you can play, relax, see something interesting, and go on rides.

Voronezh Central Park (Dynamo Park)

  • Address: st. Lenina, 10.

The largest multifunctional recreation area in the city occupies 100 hectares of area. The park is often called “Dynamo” after the nearby stadium, its official name is Voronezh Central Park. The history of the recreational area goes back about 170 years, the last reconstruction took place in 2015-2016.

For active citizens and guests of the city, there are rental points for vehicles: bicycles, hoverboards, roller skates, skateboards. There are sports grounds intended for both adults and children.

During the latest reconstruction, care was taken about the leisure of young visitors to the park; there are 5 playgrounds on the territory. “Dynamo” is the venue for the city festivals “Folk Spring” and “Good Land of Voronezh”, within which performances, master classes, and interactive programs are held.

Victory Park and Tealand

  • Address: st. 60 Army/st. General Lizyukov.

In the Kantemirovsky district of the city, on the territory adjacent to the Arena shopping center, Victory Park has been laid out, which has become a popular place for family entertainment. Here mothers walk with strollers, young people roller-skate, families stroll along comfortable alleys.

The park has a variety of monuments, including a military monument and unexpected objects. For example, one of the monuments is dedicated to the popular punk band of the 2000s, “The King and the Clown.” Children in the park are attracted by the abundance of entertainment: rides, a children's playground, trampolines, carousels.

Here is an amusement park that belongs to the all-Russian chain “Chailand”, immersing children in the magical atmosphere created by the animators working in the park. Children can enjoy labyrinths, arcades, cars, trains and much more.

Park named after A. Durova

  • Address: st. Voroshilova/st. 20th anniversary of October.

“Tealand” in Victory Park is not the only one in Voronezh, there are two of them in the city, the second is located on the territory of the city park, named after the famous circus performer, the founder of a dynasty of circus performers

The park was laid out on the site of an old cemetery in 1940, the unspoken name “Park of the Living and the Dead” was assigned to it, and the place was overgrown with a mystical aura.

The name of a person like Durov in the name of the park suggests the presence of a childish component. Indeed, the attractions operated here long before Tealand, since Soviet times.

After reconstruction in 2009-2010. Outdated carousels were dismantled and new attractions were installed. On the territory of this Voronezh attraction there are playgrounds and sandboxes; little ones can frolic on trampolines.

Amusement park "Olympic"

  • Address: Okruzhnaya street.

Olympic Park is known as an excellent place for picnics, family recreation and sports. It is located on the outskirts of Voronezh, near the city limits. Its territory overlooks the Voronezh reservoir, you can relax by the water or go boating.

In winter, there is a ski base in the park. Walking around the Olympic with their parents, children can find themselves in a fairy tale: hidden among the trees here is none other than Baba Yaga’s home - the famous hut on chicken legs.

Scarlet Sails Park

  • Address: Leninsky Prospekt.

Near the shores of the Voronezh Reservoir there is a park whose name refers to the famous story by A. Green “Scarlet Sails”. One of the art objects, a kind of “symbol of the park,” is also dedicated to her. The recreational zone occupies an area of just over 6 hectares, where mainly pine trees grow.

Beach holidays by the water, boating, quiet walks and solitude with nature are combined here with active entertainment. The park has a climbing wall and a ropes course, sports and playgrounds. Children will be interested in visiting the town of birds - this is the name of one of the park areas with many birdhouses.

Here, a whole city infrastructure with familiar institutions has been created for birds: there is a theater, a kindergarten, a school, etc. “City” is decorated with figures of birds and squirrels. The so-called “chess house” became an interesting object of the park. The quaint wooden building houses a library where you can spend time with a book or surf the Internet.

Dolphin Park

  • Address: st. Ostuzheva, 2V.

In the coastal zone of the reservoir there is a park with the marine name “Dolphin”. The park experienced its best years during Soviet times, but by the beginning of the new century it had become dilapidated, outdated, and the attractions stopped working. However, the park has not ceased to be a popular place for walks and, according to reviews from Voronezh residents, it still attracts mothers with children.

It is quiet and calm here, there is a good atmosphere, and the presence of a pond increases the attractiveness of the park, especially in the summer season. The square also attracts picnickers. When the city of Voronezh celebrated its 425th anniversary in 2011, the Dolphin was renovated and an observation deck with binoculars appeared near the water, allowing you to see the opposite shore.

Children may enjoy this kind of entertainment. In 2022, two playgrounds appeared in the park. Reconstruction is currently ongoing at Dolphin. The park is accessible to the public, one of the zones is already open. By the end of 2022, they plan to install attractions, primarily a Ferris wheel.

Scarlet Sails

The Voronezh park indicated in the title is one of the five best in Russia. In his native municipality, he is, of course, the first. It appeared in 1975. And now all City Days are held in it. What did this little guy do to deserve such an honor? It’s just that the sidewalk appeared here before everyone else...

But that's not all. The territory has earned the title “Best Park in Voronezh” for a reason. Firstly, here you will find a rich arboretum - pine, birch, alder, blue spruce. Their neighbors are poplar, maple, acacia and “weeping” willow (at the very edge of the water). There is a bush. Flower gardens include a special (local) variety of rose, petunia and marigold.

In addition to the “duty” benches, always working lanterns, stands, trash cans, a fountain and a street stage, tourists will find a lot of entertainment. These include a carousel and a playground for the little ones (a high slide, a sandbox and a rich development complex). A climbing tower and rope park for extreme sports enthusiasts, as well as a sports ground and outdoor exercise equipment for those who keep in shape. The “brand” of the place is a large model of a “literary” ship with scarlet sails. Of course, such a trivial set would not have brought “Scarlet Sails” to 5th place in the all-Russian list of PKiO. The fact is that on these sites there are a lot of wooden and openwork-metal sculptures, small architectural forms, and even the external exterior - this is not just a metal fence, but a fence with a gate with forged naval flags and sails.

The image here was taken with particular seriousness. The design of the stalls, booths selling tickets for attractions and even the toilet are imbued with the old-time romance of the ship. That is, this space has its own face. And memorable. Moreover, in good weather there is always interaction with visitors. It is no longer aimed at “extracting” money from adult guests, but at the intellectual development of their children. The City of Birds (you can feed them, communicate with them), the Vegetable Garden (children will get acquainted with the basics of agricultural creativity) and a children's “playing room”-fortress (you can play while studying the features of ancient Russian architecture) are available. Beach available. Swimming on the sandy stretch is prohibited. But renting boats is still possible...

The location is located at Arzamasskaya, 4B - this is the eastern bank of the reservoir between the Church of Mitrofan of Voronezh, the seminary and the hospital campus for children. The entrance is free. Attractions have average prices for the country. Hours: from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Tanais

Let’s finish describing the “premium sector” of objects united by the brand “best parks in Voronezh”. Now let's turn our attention to positions 4, 5, 6 and 7. The first on this list is a space named in an antique manner. This is no accident. It was created simultaneously with “Central”, but in a slightly different direction – thematically. The design concept referred visitors to Russian fairy tales. And what about Tanais? Antiquity…

There are enough groves. You will enjoy the view of pine trees, birches, poplars, linden and alder trees.

Like all parks in Voronezh, this one is equipped with reliable paths (restored with modern tiles). It has good lanterns and benches, and as a “highlight” there is a lot of ice cream, popcorn and cotton candy (the place is from Russian fairy tales and should fulfill all desires). The same fans of sports and physical education (mini-stadiums) are at ease here too. Finally, the last “symbol” is 20 attractions for all tastes and ages.

There is no need to go. "Tanais" is already in the center. Sandwiched between the streets of Yuzhnomoravskaya, Komarov, Dundich and Heroev Sibiryakov. Stop for half of the buses and taxis "Malody Shop". Hours: 10 – 22 hours. Prices for service and food are standard. There are squirrels everywhere.

Zoos and aquariums of Voronezh

Representatives of the animal world await young visitors in two Voronezh zoos; you can chat with animals in a cat cafe and look at fish in the oceanarium.

Voronezh Zoo

  • Address: st. Polina Osipenko, 6A.

The traditional zoo in Voronezh has been operating in the Aircraft Manufacturers Park since 1994. In total, 150 species of animals live here, the exhibition consists of 7 sections. The zoo is divided into 2 zones: the zoological exhibition itself, which is small in area, entry is required by ticket, and a vast adjacent area, the so-called “free access zone”, where there are recreational and leisure facilities, including children's attractions.

Safari Park "Chervleny Yar"

  • Address: Smorodinovaya st., 2D.

“Chervleny Yar” formally belongs to the Voronezh Zoo, being its structural division, but the principles and conditions for keeping animals here are different, and it is located in a different place - in a forest on Smorodinovaya Street.

Natural vegetation is supplemented with plantings to create comfortable living conditions for animals. Essentially, this is a nursery. Its goals are animal breeding and nature conservation.

In the tourist context, “Chervleny Yar” is often defined as a “safari park,” that is, in fact, it is a landscape part of the Voronezh Zoo. The Tiguli eco-trail runs through the territory - a path paved with wood along a route on which visitors get acquainted with the natural world and the inhabitants of Chervleny Yar.

Oceanarium

  • Address: Parkovaya street, 3, Solnechny village.

A child can combine acquaintance with the underwater world with a trip to a large amusement park in the village of Solnechny. The oceanarium, which is designated as the only one in the Black Earth Zone of Russia, is located in the Grad City Park. The exhibition consists of four sections, which present the inhabitants of different types of reservoirs and natural areas.

The exhibition “Forests and Steppes” demonstrates river and freshwater inhabitants familiar to us, “Seas and Oceans” - marine inhabitants; the specifics of the “Jungle” and “Polar Waters” departments can be guessed from the names.

Cat cafe "Mr. Moore"

  • Address: Nikitinskaya st., 44.

Establishments that combine in their concept the now popular format of an anti-cafe and a mini-kennel for cats are becoming increasingly widespread and are designated as “cat cafes.” "Mr. Moore" in Voronezh is one of them. This place has become home to 20 animals, the inhabitants here are not purebred, these are seals that find themselves in a difficult situation, without owners.

As in most anti-cafes, when visiting the establishment “Mr. Moore" is paid for the time spent in the company of animals. In addition, the cat cafe hosts various master classes, film screenings and discussion clubs, and holidays.

Olympic

Voronezh parks like this one are usually remembered by athletes. They were once built for them. After all, the Soviet years encouraged the population to lead a healthy lifestyle.

Among the vegetation in the park there are not only the listed species, but also oaks. The thicket is the most impassable. Well-groomed columbariums delight the eye with colorful inflorescences.

In addition to the typical park infrastructure, the main “filling” here is courts and grounds for team sports, horizontal bars and suitable jogging paths. Even showers and changing rooms. There is a rental of skis (slopes), skates (in winter there is a skating rink for hockey and speed skating), rollerblades, bicycles and other useful equipment. However, there is no Internet. Only healthy lifestyle reigns here. And destructive online gatherings are not welcome.

It is worth noting that Olympic was included in the rating of “the most popular parks in Voronezh” for another reason. There is an arena with spectator stands. Competitions are often noisy here. Citizens “diving” in the bushes with beer are quickly identified. As a result, no one here will catch a squirrel... Except in the literal sense. There are really a lot of these animals in the array.

The entrance is free. Equipment rental is inexpensive. The daily routine is sporty - everyone should be asleep at 20.30. To indulge in your favorite workouts from 7.00. The address is the famous Nagornaya Dubrava (famous for its archaeological finds). It’s more convenient to get there along Moskovsky Prospekt (connects with M-4 km before the local airport).

Where to stay

Voronezh is divided by a reservoir into two parts. The right bank is considered central - all the main attractions are located here, and on the left - residential areas and factories.

Housing prices do not differ much in different areas, so it is better to live in the center - when searching, focus on Revolution Avenue. If you want peace, stay on quiet streets: Karl Marx, Friedrich Engels or Ordzhonikidze. If you love the perpetual movement of the city, choose Revolution Avenue or Koltsovskaya. It is better not to rent an apartment on Donbasskaya and adjacent streets: they are located close to the center, but the houses are in poor condition, the lights do not work, so it will be scary to return in the evenings.

On Airbnb you can find an apartment with a view of the reservoir or with an atmospheric balcony. Prices for two people start from 1,450 rubles for a bright studio in the center. An apartment with panoramic windows and a view of the city costs 2,333 rubles. A stylish private house with a garden, a terrace and a view of the reservoir will cost 2,400 rubles.

The most budget option is to stay in a capsule hostel, where prices start from 350 rubles. A night in the cozy and bright Bon Son Hotel and Hostel will cost from 650 rubles. At Geek Hotel & Hostel with two-story rooms, prices start from 490 rubles per bed or from 1,490 rubles for a separate room.

If you prefer to live in a hotel, take a closer look at the designer “Bronze Boar” with a garden and terrace. The Marriott Hotel is located on Revolution Avenue, the rooms have panoramic windows overlooking the city. Prices start from 4,080 rubles. The Mercure and Hampton by Hilton chains have a minimalist, pleasant interior, unlike many other hotels in Voronezh. They charge from 3,700 rubles per night. Prices in budget hotels start from 1,500 rubles in Floris and from 1,700 rubles in Brno.

Voronezh museums for children

There are not many museums aimed specifically at children in Voronezh. A child will find something interesting both in the main Museum of Local Lore, where there is a “zoological part” and an exhibition of butterflies, and in the Art Museum, one of the best in the country. Classes and master classes for children are held here. Below are some exhibition objects and institutions that are considered suitable for a trip with children in Voronezh.

Museum-ship "Goto Prestation"

  • Address: st. Sofia Perovskaya, 9.

On Petrovskaya Embankment there is a ship that will attract the attention of children with its appearance alone; it is very colorfully decorated. This is not just a ship, but a museum ship. It bears the complex but at the same time mysterious name “Goto Prestation” and immerses you in the atmosphere of the first period in the history of the Russian fleet.

A battleship with that name actually existed; it dates back to the times of Peter the Great. The Voronezh object is a reconstruction based on drawings, documents and sources dating back to the 18th century; the lack of information is compensated by the imagination and skill of modern masters.

The main graphic designer was P. Bergman. The museum ship was created in 2010. Children, especially boys, are attracted from an early age by the theme of distant travels and the romance of sea voyages, and they are definitely worth a visit to such an unusual ship.

Beaver House

  • Address: locality State Reserve Central Estate.

Toothed aquatic animals that gnaw wood and build dams - something like how children imagine beavers. You can get to know them in more detail on the territory of the Voronezh Nature Reserve, where a whole “beaver town” has been created with an eco-trail and an interactive museum.

It is called “The Beaver House”, the atmosphere and decoration in it are such that you get the impression that you are in the home of this animal. The museum's exhibits, one way or another, are related to beavers - different and interesting, you can and should interact with all of them.

House-Museum of A. Durov

  • Address: st. Durova, 2.

Objects of interest to children include a museum dedicated to a man whose name is inextricably linked with the children’s favorite circus. Anatoly Leonidovich Durov lived permanently in Voronezh from 1901 to 1916.

The house of the famous circus performer is included in the list of cultural heritage sites of Federal significance as an architectural and historical monument, and the street on which it stands is named after Durov. Since 1971, it has been a museum. The exhibition will tell about the life of the founder of one of the most famous circus dynasties, about the life and atmosphere of life of Russian artists of the early 20th century, and about some pages of the history of the Russian circus, which cannot be imagined without Durov.

Children will be able to see old circus posters, postcards, photographs, and feel the atmosphere of the circus more than a century ago.

Theater Puppet Museum

  • Address: Revolution Ave., 50.

At the Shut Theater there is a museum corresponding to the theme of the institution. Here children will be introduced to the “off-stage life” of puppet actors. Like people, they sooner or later retire and continue their lives in the museum’s collection.

Dolls participating in the theater's performances of past years make up a significant part of the collection, but do not exhaust it; the collection was formed in different ways and has 4 thousand exhibits.

The idea of creating a museum belonged to theater worker Alexander Veselov, who, unfortunately, did not have time to implement it, leaving this world in 1996. The museum was created in 2001 and named after him. The museum's exhibits were repeatedly exhibited outside of Voronezh, for example, in the capital of the country, Moscow, and even traveled to Spain.

Helen & Teddy Toy Museum

  • Address: st. Platonova, 3.

“Teddy” is the accepted name in the English-speaking world for the teddy bear beloved by many children. He is one of the main characters of the only museum of collectible toys in Voronezh; the bears here are not only plush, but also wooden, porcelain and others; they are accompanied by dolls of different types and eras.

The name of the museum is a play on the English name of the bear and the name of the organization’s founder, Elena Kikteva. It turned out “Helen & Teddy”. Visiting the museum is possible by appointment.

Einsteinium Museum

  • Address: Parkovaya street, 3, Solnechny village.

"Einsteinium" is a network of popular science museums across the country. The main idea is to present the basics of natural science in a playful way, to show that this world is full of wonders created by nature itself. This interactive format is primarily suitable for children. The museum of this network operates in the City-Park Grad shopping center.

In terms of range and variety of children's entertainment, Voronezh is somewhat inferior to other Russian cities with a population of one million, for example, Samara or Kazan. But the main city of the Black Earth Zone is actively developing and its entertainment infrastructure pays a lot of attention to the younger generation.

Aircraft Builders Park

This Voronezh park earned its current name in honor of the Russian aviation industrial complex, a part of which belongs to Voronezh. And the monument to Cosmonautics is the semantic dominant of the entire landscape and architectural ensemble.

Aviastroitelny differs from its competitors with whom we have already introduced you by the presence of a zoo. Among the dense urban reservation (the forest is the same) they feel comfortable. Apparently, the organizers of the nursery think so, having caged 33 species of animals. In the list of “Voronezh parks”, the cultural and recreational institution indicated in the title was listed for ponies and carriages (you can ride them). And for those same 33 animals...

This whole facility operates from 9 am to 9 pm. Located on Polina Osipenko Street (there is a transport stop platform of the same name here). Entrance to the zoo does not require a lot of money.
