Will Lyubertsy be annexed to the capital?
The topic related to the annexation of various territories to the capital has recently been considered quite popular. Many officials have been talking about all this for a long time. It is often said that in the near future many territories of the Moscow region will join the capital. In any situation, there are a lot of different conversations on this matter.
Also, some experts say that in reality, no too global accession is planned. Indeed, in the opposite situation, an administrative unit of such a large scale may simply not be controllable.
In fact, the idea of annexing some regions to the capital is not new. For example, this happened at the end of the 80s, when Butovo and Mitino became part of the capital. Similar questions were actively raised in the 90s. Then the talk was about creating a real “Greater Moscow”.
The main task here is to get as far as possible from the long-tired residential suburban areas. For decades, numerous developers have been building huge complexes around the capital. Although, most often the work itself is simply not there. Therefore, the local population has to travel to work in the capital. Thereby:
- The load on local public transport has increased.
- Traffic jams on the roads themselves have increased.
As for a city like Lyubertsy, it is worth noting that the annexation began back in 2011. We are talking about the Lyubertsy filtration fields. They were intended for wastewater treatment. Previously, the construction of numerous residential buildings was actively carried out on this territory. Most of them related specifically to the social fund.
It often happened that, due to the presence of numerous disputes regarding territorial affiliation, many residents of new buildings could not register in the acquired property for years. This is due to the fact that the houses were initially built in the Lyubertsy region, and then this territory became part of the capital. People have had numerous problems because of this.
In any situation, it is necessary to understand that the accession process cannot proceed without a decision on the part of the local population. For this purpose, a corresponding referendum must be organized. Everything should happen transparently and accessible. It is definitely worth weighing all the positive aspects as well as the negative aspects.
Thus, Lyubertsy has every right to be a real part of the capital. Naturally, a huge number of the local population dreams of this. Although, as always, there are also opponents of this decision.
Settlements
The urban district includes 22 settlements, including: 1 city, 3 workers’ settlements, 1 dacha settlement, 6 towns and 11 villages:

Is it worth annexing Lyubertsy to the capital?
Lyubertsy is a town to which the capital has approached as closely as possible. Not all districts of the capital can boast that they are immediately surrounded by 6 different metro stations. They are located as close as possible to Lyubertsy.
Why is this city worth transferring to the capital? Regardless of the fact that the borders themselves were blurred long ago by the local population, Lyubertsy is still not considered Moscow. Landscaping, transport near Moscow, as well as local authorities - all this constantly makes itself felt. In this regard, this city cannot be called the most comfortable.
By joining the capital, it is possible to develop more convenient living. Naturally, there are some disadvantages. It is likely that other nearby cities will also start asking to come to Moscow. But, as you know, Moscow is not rubber after all. Ideally, the most identical benefits and conditions will be created for the entire Moscow region without exception.
Although, Lyubertsy very much wants to be on the map of the capital. Many locals talk about this. Previously, some territory had already been annexed to the capital. It is completely unfair that this action bypassed such an area as Krasnaya Gorka. There are a lot of advantaged population groups living here. During the resettlement they were told that the territory would soon become Moscow. Although until today, this has not happened.
Many citizens agreed to the move. Because they were confident that they would not be resettled to some other subject of the state. Such citizens are still looking forward to joining as soon as possible. There are also those residents in the city who purchased housing in this place, simply believing in the numerous promises of modern developers that Lyubertsy will become Moscow.
The local population wants to receive benefits and numerous opportunities that are typical for Muscovites. They live, as they say, across the street from the capital. Although they are separated by a real abyss. If you look at the map, Krasnaya Gorka itself, as well as the rest of the territory of the city of Lyubertsy, are often located much closer to the capital itself than, for example, an area such as Nekrasovka. Lyubertsy is also much closer to the central part of Moscow than the well-known New Moscow.
A separate petition was drawn up to annex this city to the capital. Any citizen who signed it has his own arguments for this decision. In any situation, the expected practical result should be as follows:
- Integration of all transport systems into one.
- Rapid integration of numerous socially significant objects.
- Increasing the number of investments in those regions that have recently joined the capital. If Lyubertsy joins Moscow, then investment will go in their direction. As a result of all this, the profit itself will be significantly increased. This is due to the fact that the city is characterized by the presence of a fairly favorable location.
- Increasing wages for specialists who work in low-cost modern industries.
- Significant increase in benefits and pensions themselves.
- Rapid creation of a large number of new employment opportunities.
- Completely new standards will be introduced into the medical industry.
In any situation, a real opportunity to take advantage of other equally important advantages is not excluded. It will be possible to install equipment that is designed to monitor environmental pollution. It can be located within the Krasnaya Gorka. Everything will be connected into one single system.
A significant reduction in numerous administrative barriers, which are associated with the need for interaction between various administrations located in various subjects of the federation, cannot be ruled out. In any case, through annexation, a significant improvement in the overall quality of life of the local population is guaranteed. The entire territory can very quickly be put, as they say, in order. Other undeniable advantages are not excluded.

What is Lyubertsy famous for - a reminder for tourists
Lyubertsy is a famous city in the country with a population of just over 200 thousand people. If you look at where Lyubertsy is located, then any Internet user will see that this is the Moscow region. Many who go to the capital to earn money decide to buy or rent an apartment in this corner of Russia.
The city is located next to Moscow and has virtually transparent borders. The Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya metro line is almost adjacent to this settlement. Where did the name come from?
Transport
Railway transport
Transport links are well developed. In the city of Lyubertsy - at the Lyubertsy-1 station - the railway branches into two directions - Kazanskoye (east of Moscow) and Ryazanskoye (southeast of Moscow).
In the Kazan direction there are also stations Lyubertsy-2, Ovrazhki and the Korenevo platform; on Ryazansky - Panki station, platforms Tomilino, Kraskovo and Malakhovka; and in the direction of Moscow - the Ukhtomskaya platform. Electric trains run regularly in both directions from the Kazansky station, connecting Moscow with populated areas of the Lyubertsy region (including the city of Lyubertsy and all large villages) and some other areas of the Moscow, as well as the Vladimir and Ryazan regions. The Sputnik express train “Moscow-Lyubertsy-Otdykh-Ramenskoye” makes a stop in Lyubertsy.
Automobile transport
To the southwest of Lyubertsy there is the M5 highway, which begins in Moscow at the intersection of Volgogradsky Prospekt and the Moscow Ring Road. To the northeast, parallel to the M5 federal highway, in Moscow there is Ryazansky Prospekt, which turns into Lermontovsky Prospekt (Zhulebino, Moscow), and it smoothly turns into Oktyabrsky Prospekt in the city of Lyubertsy, passes through its center and then branches into two parts - one goes further to the southeast to Tomilino, the other (along it from Oktyabrsky Prospekt leaves b o
Most of the transport) turns east to Kraskovo and Malakhovka.
Lyubertsy and all villages are connected to the Moscow metro stations “Kuzminki”, “Ryazansky Prospekt” and “Vykhino” by regular bus service and minibuses.
Is it good to live in Lyubertsy: let’s find out in the article
We continue reviews of new buildings in various areas of Moscow and the Moscow region. In the new article, we analyze what the Lyubertsy district is like, as well as in which residential complexes it is possible to buy an apartment.
About the area
Lyubertsy district is located in the southeast of the Moscow region. Since 2017, Lyubertsy has been a city of regional subordination with administrative territory. Lyubertsy borders on the Ramensky district (in the southeast), with the urban district of Kotelniki (in the south of the northern part), and with the Nekrasovka district (in the east).
In terms of population density, the Lyubertsy district surpasses all other areas of the Moscow region.
Pros of living in Lyubertsy:
– active development of the area with developed residential complexes that are not inferior to new buildings in Moscow;
– small green courtyards in which residents spend time. This is the so-called local flavor of Lyubertsy;
– comfortable transport accessibility in the area itself (there are several metro stations in Lyubertsy, and overground transport also operates);
– reasonable housing prices, in contrast to the central regions of Moscow.
Minuses:
– high traffic load (residents note constant traffic jams);
– lack of interesting infrastructure facilities. There is not much cultural entertainment in Lyubertsy. For the opportunity to go to some institution, theater, cinema, you will have to go to Moscow;
However, Lyubertsy still has shopping centers and grocery stores such as Pyaterochka, Perekrestok, Magnit and Dixie. Therefore, there are no problems in terms of shopping in the area.
– a small number of green areas. Due to the fact that about 25 industrial enterprises operate in Lyubertsy, the climate and ecology are not the most favorable living conditions. The abundance of emissions negatively affects the fresh air;
– problems with garbage disposal (the city streets are quite polluted, in general, city cleaning is not carried out effectively).
Basically, life in Lyubertsy depends on the specific location. For example, in Krasnaya Gorka there is a high density of buildings, there are absolutely no green areas or places for spending leisure time in the fresh air. However, in the area of Natasha Park, the infrastructure and ecology are much more comfortable.
Lyubertsy has a well-developed social infrastructure: there are many kindergartens, schools, and clinics. Residents of the area still complain about free hospitals (they note that it is impossible to get there). But there are also paid medical centers where you can turn for help.

The disadvantages include the industrial zone next door, with Vtorchermet, Beton-Invest, an electromechanical plant and an electrical equipment plant. Despite the close distance from Moscow, the city lives a completely independent life. The city's specialization is based on the activities of industrial facilities.
Until 2011 Lyubertsy fields were famous for their high yields. Starting this year, the government allocated fields for individual housing construction, and cottage villages began to grow in these places.
Environmental issues are being addressed due to the presence of a large number of factories. Today, the urgent question is to put special caps on wastewater treatment plants to avoid harmful emissions into the atmosphere. The temperature is no different from other places in the Moscow region.
