Where to go in Adler in the evening: central parks and embankment

Are you thinking about where to go for a walk in the evening in Adler? The most correct answer to this question is the embankment. The epicenter of the tourist life of any city by the sea, Adler Embankment over the past 10 years has transformed from an unremarkable promenade into a cozy modern space for relaxation. The reconstruction was timed to coincide with a historical event - the 2014 Olympic Games.

Thanks to this, we have 1.5 kilometers of a beautiful walking area, from the bank of the Mzymta River to the territory of the Yuzhnoye Vzmorye sanatorium. There are modern shopping centers, beach clubs with swimming pools, installations, sculptures, recreation areas, restaurants and cafes. Pots with exotic plants, spectacular panoramas of the Caucasus Mountains, the Adler lighthouse, and of course sea waves crashing on the pebble shore are pleasing to the eye.

Evening is perhaps the best time for a leisurely walk along the embankment. At this time, the tables of street cafes light candles, luring visitors with musical melodies and the opportunity to spend the sunset by the sea. A little advice: choose a cafe with a panoramic terrace and an open view of the sea, for example the VinoGrad or Fregat restaurants.

Near the embankment there is Bestuzhev-Marlinsky Square, with a monument to the writer and the Decembrist, an old cannon, and a children’s playground - it’s convenient to come here in the evening with young travelers.

The most popular walking space on the embankment is located near the Mandarin shopping center. Music concerts, entertainment events and city festivals are often held here in the evenings; yachts and boats depart from here for sea voyages. There is no shortage of waterfront dining options, with a variety of cuisines and food concepts ranging from snack stalls to glamorous restaurants. You can dine to suit every taste and budget.

An equally popular evening destination for walks has become the Adler Park of Culture and Leisure. About 2 hectares of walking alleys, sports and children's playgrounds, attractions, recreation areas, an artificial pond in the center - everything is very clean and well-groomed. The park was reconstructed several years ago and is now a pleasant, modern space for the whole family to relax.

What to do in the park in the evening? Both children and adults can ride on the rides or race on the racetrack. View the evening Adler from the Ferris Wheel, or dance at the open-air disco. Of course, they didn’t forget about gourmets in the park; here you can have a street food snack or a full dinner. During the warm season, the park's alleys await guests until 22:00.

A popular destination for evening walks is the Southern Cultures Park. In addition to walking alleys, centuries-old trees, ponds and observation decks, an entertaining show awaits you in the warm season. The new night route is called “Revived Park” - this is a bright multimedia performance, where the main characters are the “residents” of the arboretum.

The unusual multi-colored lighting will appeal to adults and children, creating the feeling of walking through a fairytale forest. The schedule of walks, operating hours of the night park, as well as ticket prices can be found on the official website of the project.

Shopping and entertainment in one place

What to do in the evening in Adler for those who like to combine business with pleasure? Of course, go to one of the shopping and entertainment centers that are open until late and offer all kinds of fun: from shopping to movie shows, computer games and restaurants. The list of leaders often includes:

  • "New Age";
  • "Mandarin";
  • Plaza City.

There is not much entertainment in the Novy Vek shopping center, but there are shops and boutiques, and many cute cafes. “Mandarin” is a mall that opens up a new philosophy of recreation and offers chic shopping, beach fun, laser shows, concerts, a karaoke bar, and many restaurants with cuisine from around the world.

Adler's largest shopping and entertainment complex is Plaza City, it is organized in the best traditions of similar establishments in Western Europe. There are many shops on the ground floor, sports boutiques on the second, catering on the third. Among the fast food cafes you can find famous European brands, there is its own cinema, and slot machines are installed. The highlight of the complex is an ice skating rink with the possibility of renting equipment; skating on a hot summer day is refreshing.

Sometimes the fountains “sing” with melodies from Soviet films, other times with hits from the 80s or the music of modern blockbusters.

The show is truly mesmerizing; many tourists come here to admire the lights of the fountain every day. It's nice that visiting it is absolutely free. Before your visit, check out the official website of the Olympic Park, where you can find out the current schedule of fountains.

Where to go in the evening: beach holiday in Adler

Another not too obvious, but no less attractive evening pastime in Adler is a walk along the beach. The resort offers dozens of different sections of the coast, landscaped and wild, elite clubs by the sea and free, affordable beaches.

An excellent choice is the Mandarin Beach Club . It belongs to the shopping center of the same name, located nearby, and in addition to the coastal area itself, it offers a swimming pool, beautiful bungalows with a thatched roof, rental of beach equipment, and a panoramic bar for watching the sunset. It’s convenient that entry to the beach is free, and no one will forbid you to sit on a mat at the water’s edge with a glass of coffee.

Another good bowling club is Strike, it is located in the Vesna Hotel, where you can try out eight lanes covered with laminate, equipped with high-speed pinsporters. Experienced instructors will help you master the rules of the game and learn how to make a Strike. The bowling alley has a bar with European treats and a wide range of drinks and cocktails.

Climate and weather

Adler is located on a flat plateau, and the city is protected from the northern winds by mountains. The climate is humid subtropical , but due to the sea breeze there is no stifling heat. There are also no sudden changes in temperature , which is very convenient for people with health problems. Winters in the city are quite mild, the air temperature in winter averages 6-8 degrees above zero.

The best time to visit this seaside resort is from June to mid-September . This is also the time of the swimming season in Adler - in the summer the city becomes a center for beach holidays. The average temperature in summer is 26.5-27 degrees, and the water warms up to 24-25 degrees Celsius.

The beaches in Adler are mostly small-pebble, but there are also sand and pebble beaches. This kind of vacation is suitable for vacationers with children - the entrance to the sea is very shallow, and the depth begins 4-6 meters from the shore.

The main city beach is equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas; vacationers have access to all types of water activities - parasailing, banana and jet ski riding, diving and surfing (there are water equipment rentals).

Nightlife of the Adler resort

But the nightlife of the resort is most vividly represented - restaurants, bars, pubs, clubs. Entertainment here can be found for every taste and budget, from a quiet evening accompanied by a violin to cheerful parties until dawn.

The most popular establishments are concentrated in the embankment area. This is the snow-white tent of the VinoGraD cafe-bar - here you can have dinner, sunsets with a glass of wine from an extensive list, cool parties by the pool, and concerts of famous performers.

“Bestuzhev Bar” is very popular. The price tag here is higher than the city average, but the establishment offers completely different cuisine and music - the most demanding traveler will like it. Nearby is the Voda restobar - a beautiful and very cozy terrace overlooking the sea. It will appeal to those guests who want to take a break from loud music.

You can have a delicious dinner and listen to music at the Khinkali Dancevali cafe. Here, in addition to Georgian cuisine, they offer a pleasant atmosphere, sets from a DJ, and excellent service.
