Features of the coast in Adler
The Adler coast is an almost perfect straight line, slightly bending from Ogonyok Beach to the Mzymta River. Half of the coastal area is flat foothills, which is completely occupied by the city of Adler and the airport infrastructure behind it. And the second half is a narrow strip along the base of the mountains, along which the railway, the A-147 highway are laid, and between them - houses and sanatoriums.
The coast has three distinct locations that are not similar to each other.
South : three kilometers along the city, from the station to Mzymta. The beaches here are the richest in terms of infrastructure. Central : two kilometers from the Adler railway to Orchid Park, which are very sparsely landscaped, and behind them stretch kilometer-long Russian Railways lines. Northern : here all the beaches are separated from the city by an embankment. They are very simple. Municipal, or belong to sanatoriums.
Most beaches have pebbles. All of them are spoiled by an endless number of breakwaters (except Ogonyok). The width of the coast is different everywhere, and even within the same beach, the condition of one sector can be strikingly different from the neighboring one. The city beaches in the south of Adler seemed prettier to me. The most unpleasant ones are in the center, around the railway station.
In general, the Adler beaches leave a feeling of “well, what did you expect?” The main thing is to prepare mentally, especially for people with a subtle sense of beauty. If you have nothing to compare with, then this is not so bad. Plus: prices in Adler are more reasonable than on the beaches of central Sochi or Imeretinka. Everything is in its own way, in a simple way, similar to the beaches of any city anywhere in the country, only Adler’s are with real sea.

Amazing and modern sandy beach of artificial origin. It has all the conditions for a comfortable stay: tents, covers, sun loungers, umbrellas, showers and toilets, changing rooms. This beach is located behind the promenade promenade area, and the shore itself is a narrow strip with a rocky approach. During a storm, the waves here are very large due to the lack of breakwaters.
There is always a first aid station and a rescue team on the beach. There are cafes and restaurants, shops and souvenir shops along the entire walking area.

The best beaches of Adler
I consider the best beaches (considering that this is the Sochi coast) to be those that stand out in terms of recreation and amenities. The location of the beach was partly taken into account, but the main thing about a beach is the shore by the sea. Is it convenient for access and entry, what kind of coverage is there, what will the tenant of the land be pleased with, what are the prices here - all this creates the mood in particular, and relaxation in general.
Pearl Beach Sochi
The most extreme beach on the coast of Adler. It is located near the mouth of the Mzymta River, therefore it has a number of characteristic advantages and disadvantages. This is an almost entirely sandy beach, with standard modern infrastructure. Wide, spacious, there is room to turn around. The proximity to the Mzymta has a slightly negative effect: the river flows through several settlements and is far from the ideal of cleanliness.

South Beach
Closed beach of the sanatorium in the center of Adler. I don’t know how things were here before the pandemic, but since 2022, everyone is not allowed on the beach. Only by identification marks of the sanatorium guest. If it remains like this, it’s a shame: the beach is very neat, well-maintained, with three aeriums and several accommodation options on the shore. Now you can only look at all this from the embankment.

Apart from two breakwaters along the edges of the beach, there is no longer a single concrete wall on the light. The water area is clean, the gray color does not scratch the eyes. Plus, the coastline here is perfectly landscaped and has everything you need for a family holiday on the Black Sea. The best beach in Adler is in the Chkalovsky microdistrict. There is no problem with parking by the sea here, as in the center of Adler. Large block with private housing. Everything is located in compact proximity, and any house in Chkalovskoye is always close to the sea. The beach itself pleased us with its rich infrastructure, aimed not only at passive sealing, but also at family holidays with children in Sochi.

The beach is located in close proximity to shopping and entertainment. The beach has everything you need for a comfortable stay by the sea. It’s very rare that the beach is mostly sandy with small pebbles and a gentle slope into the water.
In addition to the usual sun loungers, wooden bungalows with a thatched roof are available for beach visitors for VIP relaxation. In addition, the beach area is so large that there is enough space for everyone to stay with their own bedding.

From the neighboring Ogonyok, Chaika are distinguished by two main negative factors: a picket fence of breakwaters and two storm drains, from where something wet flows onto the beach, even if it is odorless. Chaika has an excellent embankment where you can take a promenade and take your mind off beach worries. Convenient descent to the sea and a separate area, especially for children. Chaika is also a children's beach in Sochi.

Beach Spring
A modest beach in the Chkalovsky microdistrict, where in general it’s pleasant to be, but it lacks the variety for a good time at sea. On the shore there are only the necessary infrastructure elements and a couple of points for renting beach equipment. Belongs to the Vesna sanatorium (formerly Volna), which is currently being reformatted into an apart-hotel.

The beach of the Coral sanatorium, also known as the building of the Adlerkurort sanatorium complex. The beach is notable for its infrastructure: it is a pleasant and interesting place to spend your vacation time. The fly in the ointment is the fragments of concrete on one of the sections of the coral beach. It looks terrible, but the size of the debris is such that it is unlikely that they will begin to disassemble them - they will lie there until the end of time.

An ordinary Adler beach. Without any zest or memorable features, neither a plus nor a minus. Like the rest of Adler's beaches, it is covered with breakwaters and covered with pebbles. Perhaps the only thing that can be said about it is that it is the center of Chkalovsky and it is convenient to get here on foot.

The penultimate beach of Adler, on the border with Khosta. The last one is the beach of the Yuzhny sanatorium, but it is closed to outsiders and I could not get to it from any direction. Yuzhny-2 is notable for the fact that there are four passages to the beach. And one of them is located opposite a small parking lot on Prosveshcheniya Street - very convenient for motorists. The beach is noisy, half good, half terrible.

The wide and long coastline of the beach is designed for a large number of vacationers. The beach is well-groomed and clean, from here you can see majestic sports facilities and arenas.

Coast along the marshalling yard. There is only one entrance, along a long pedestrian bridge over the tracks. But this is its only advantage. This is an ugly, uncomfortable beach for those who are simply too lazy to walk far from home. And houses for rent there start right after the railway tracks and are not particularly expensive to rent - the place is not popular. But it's budget-friendly.

Beach of the sanatorium of the same name. Moreover, from the sanatorium to the beach there is a long, crooked path, without night lighting. And the passage to the beach under the railway is far away. The beach is not interesting at all and not worth your attention.

If you have no options and you are forced to relax on the beach of the USSR, Orbita-1 or Zelenaya Gorka, then the USSR is the best of the three. How best can this be considered? The differences are in the food service outlets and the availability of beach equipment rentals. Including all sorts of inflatable things for swimming. There is a view cafe on the platform behind the beach. By the way, all three beaches have one common passage under the railway.

The transition from the station building to the platform on which the view cafe stands smoothly turns into a staircase to the beach. These are not fully wild, isolated beaches for nudists and savages, but simply ugly and unnecessary sections between the breakwaters. You have to be a special kind of person to look for comfort and unity with nature here. There is no comfort or unity here. Although the sea is quite clean, and there are no annoying lifeguards. In general, ordinary pebble beaches, just without infrastructure and uncleaned.

The wide beach strip of Chaika has a long length of about 1 km. The beach has enough space for a very large number of holidaymakers who can swim in the clear emerald water of the bay. Tourists change clothes in special cabins and wash off salt water in an equipped shower with fresh water.
Wooden decks lead to the water, as on most Adler beaches. If you wish, you can rent sun loungers and umbrellas, buy everything you need in local shops and food stalls. Do you like volleyball? Yes, it is here too, in addition to classic beach activities. Want to relax? Get a massage right on the beach.
Playgrounds, water slides and attractions are open for children. This is also a favorite place for local musicians and fire show artists.

The coastal strip of Coral will provide tourists with a safe and comfortable holiday near the Black Sea. The beach is shallow, the descent into the water is gentle, without sharp drops in depth. The length of the beach is small - only 200 m. But it is very popular among vacationers with children and lovers of active recreation. Water equipment rentals are available on the shore.

Velvet seasons
The pebble coast called Velvet Seasons has a gentle entry into the water. The beach is often stormy due to the lack of breakwaters. Large pebbles cause some discomfort when entering the water, but the sea here is especially clear. It is better to take rubberized swimming slippers with you. The length of the beach is only 500 m.
From here there is a stunning panorama of the open sea, high mountains and sports facilities of Adler. There is all the necessary infrastructure: shops, cafes, rentals, sun loungers and canopies, showers and toilets, changing rooms. A medical center and lifeguards are constantly on duty on the beach. The entertainment sector is also developed and will not make city guests bored.

Frigate
A small beach with a coastline of only 300 meters. It offers excellent views of the sea and mountains. The descent into the water is gentle and pleasant with medium pebbles, making it comfortable for both adults and children to swim. There is no sudden change in depth. It is convenient to walk along the beach and go into the water along the wooden paths, because... The pebbles here are of medium size, and at midday the stones heat up in the sun.
Tourists can rent a sun lounger and change clothes in special cabins. Sun loungers are available even on the breakwater. Water activities include jet skis, banana boat rides, yacht trips, snorkeling and diving. For complete relaxation, order a massage or take an air bath in the aerarium.

How to get there
You can get to the village of Dagomys by bus from the railway station or the central market of Adler. The city is only 10-15 minutes away; the beach offers stunning views of Adler, Sochi and even the airport. You can find out the exact bus schedule on the station website.
Armavirskaya Street, which is quite narrow and winding, leads to the beach. In order to get to the wild beach, you need to go under the railway bridge and go to the central embankment of the village and the beach.
Wave
Volna is a unique beach that is located away from the sea. The sandy beach was created artificially, and there are concrete slabs at the edge of the Black Sea. On the beach itself there is a swimming pool, volleyball and football courts, bars and restaurants. The beach is popular among active people who not only like to sunbathe and swim in the sea, but also engage in sports, yoga, fitness and dancing right in the open air.
In addition, there are several rental points for bicycles, scooters, Segways, longboards and kayaks on the beach. And in the evening the beach turns into a fiery disco with competitions. Various festivals are held here and films are shown on a projector under the starry sky.
